I just mailed my cera back to tet for the third time. They were nice enough to email me a shipping label this time. 4th times the charm, right? I can't wait to get it back again! Hopefully it's in working order.

Some might say 'isn't that enough?'. I mean what were you expecting Cera to do, make you better looking too?

OF

Absolute it is enough. Sadly, munchies after effects doesn't aid in the better looking aspect of the Cera. LOL.

I do notice I have to preheat a little bit before I take a puff to get the earwax back to a liquid state. I expected that though.

This product is well built for sure. It looks like something a hospital would use for patients.

It hits native off my Leviathan lattice bubbler like a champ. I am a very satisfied customer.

Even the packing job on the box was pro!

Also, are these the alternate batteries to get mentioned in the below post?

Excellent point. If the goods are solid, it takes a lot of energy (read 'heat') to melt them, which robs the available energy from raising the surface up hot enough to vape. While the EO cart works better 'warmed up a mite' at least, with the harder stuff this seems a bigger factor.

I'm not sure about that link, it comes up 'funny' for me, but this is the one I successfully used:

finally got my LL. worked a little for a little.. wasnt realy making much vapor. finally took off the head and just looked at the core to see if it glows, did for a little, then stopped and never came back on again. very disappointed... tried both batteries I have but didnt work still. I even unscrewed the cart and tried putting it back in.. hope they dont take another month to fix my cartridge.. After experiencing this, i even want a different cartridge, but dont think they would let me choose.

You have a real sweet volcano icon goin there but I don't see one on your "list 'o vaping devices" Whats up with that?
actually, if you notice, it is in the list of active devices, that's what the icon is for. to represent the 'cano. in my list. glad you like it. the mighty Vitolo pointed me to it.

Oh of course, I see what you've done there, it's a sort of petroglyph for stoners!

okay say WHATEVER you want about the cera....

i have the LL & im pretty open minded and put all off the negative things about it and still like this vape. i see positive things in it and even though it lacks things like the latching switch which think the LL NEEDS anyways, its not much safer with the push&hold on/off like now.

im laying in bed just vaped a pretty nice size trench in the LL with not bad clouds but a nice strong throat hit sesh lasted about 6 mins, at the end of the sesh the cera slipped from my fingers and the part right below the core on the body fell onto the palm of my hand/wrist, and i burned the FUCK out of myself.

like not bad enough to rush to the ER or anything at all but REALLY DAMN BAD. if i was driving i think i would have had to pull over.

thermovape advertised this vape as the vape my 90 year old grandma could use, my grandma's not touching this thing.

and i also understand this thing is a different beast with EO's, but not all of us are lucky enough to have access to oils/concentrates, or the amount of plant matter you'd need to make it. i would have definitely bought the EO cart instead if i had access at ALL to oils.

okay so im not hating on this thing i preordered and waited a looooooooong 2 months, but frankly i dont love my cera like i really wanted to. just my opinion.

I've only had mine a day but right away, the button placement and shape is awkward during use. The "pencil" style grip I've seen posted around here seems to work best but every time I use it, I'm trying to think of a better way because it's just not quite ideal. It's also pretty smoothly cylindrical and relatively weighty which means, if you lay it on a table, it doesn't take much to get it rolling and it could then easily fall. The button face isn't very large and the device is top heavy when standing up on end so that's somewhat risky if, like me, you're a little clumsy.

My EO has been delivering the goods all day long though so I'm still not real bothered. It's just flat out superior to everything else I have right now. Whatever little complaints I have, I can't argue with the results it produces.

I didn't get a LL core but I'd be curious to see how it stacks up against some of the other new portables coming out.

I agree, please do say what you want about Cera (and any other I guess?), as long as it's civil and honest of course. Many come here just to find the various opinions.

However, I don't recall that advertisement (in fact I don't recall a single advertisement from TV?), and it sure doesn't sound like the sort of claim they'd make. Can you please point to where that ad is? I'd like to check it out I don't think I agree with that idea. TIA.

Cool. I suggest you work with it some, you'll find posts here from guys who did and found true love. Perhaps you can too?

I think you should try the LL core if you're so inclined, it's superior to the others in some important ways IMO. You have to decide if that's useful to you, of course, and how much that's worth.

Best wishes. Stick with the Cera, I think you'll find you're better friends when you know each other better?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the Cera a great deal already. I have yet to see how it stands the test of time but regardless of any flaws, it still makes fantastic vapor. At the end of the day, that's exactly what I bought it for. There's always room for improvement though.

Follow this set up.
10 cent screen
Thermo condom
Glass straw, mine is from those vapor bros products. I have a ceramic screen also it works well but stainless doesnt get as hot, so its better to handle.
Some purp.

Results 1st hit. 1 test puff b4.

If you are having problems producing vapor follow these steps. This set up also sheds the weight of the mp and cap so the cera is noticeably lighter. I like the cera cause you can hit it over and over back to back and get the same vapor production without the heater cooling down, forcing u to wait between hits.

My more portable mp for oil and LL OTG.

Awesome animated gif, great tips. The heat retention is something I'm really itching to play with and get a feel for; it was next on my to do list after measuring warm up times at various battery levels. Once I'm comfortable with those heat characteristics, I feel I'll be on my way to feeling like a Cera Samurai. :brow:

I'm still waiting on my Cera's rebirth. Soon it'll have its second un-boxing ceremony here. I'm glad that it looks like lots of others are getting their hands on one. Reading all of your first encounters helps with the wait!

Really sorry to hear this! Any word on where the fault was the first three times? Switches failing or more problems with the body? I'm wondering what led to mine's demise. It seems like I'm the only one who's had their LL core start sparking, which is relieving.

Just started having an issue with my CEO. The switch is getting too hot to hold when in use. The core is heating up still, but vapor production is almost non-existent. Sent a note to Tim, but have a feeling this will require the unit being sent in. :(

Yes, I suppose I could (and believe I have already done so several times).

I think, however, this time I'm going to pass. My statement to the OP stands, of course, but the point there was to encourage him to pursue it for himself rather than have me do his thinking for him.

It just my opinions, of course, lately such efforts seem to draw fire from those who feel differently which I don't think would be productive. Frankly there's no advantage to say I think Cera LL is better at XXX than vape YYY unless I want an argument from a YYY vape owner who doesn't agree.....which I don't.

Thanks for the offer, at least I assume that's what it was....you didn't really want to know if I could, you really wanted me to do it without asking so directly?

BLAZING OG

Vaping is a way of life!
I got my EO, Breaking it in, but so far ive been very impressed, will follow up with some pics and more info on how well its producing!!!!!

I have a question about the ceramic wafer, is it supposed to move around???? mine moves around when hot and oils is fully melted, and its sitting at an angle kinda like a see saw one side higher than the other??????

Thanks any help would be appreciated !!!!!!!!

Mine moves and works just fine, there's also a jingle in my LL core but it works just fine. In the EO I believe it's a vertical wafer to absorb most of it, then below are 3 more wafers around the eating element and the 3 bottom wafers are probably the main source of heat that heats up the vertical first wafer that we can see in the EO.

EDIT: but mine doesn't move to an angle like you mentioned. Hmm try and move it into place?

I've been following the discussion on this vape and I think it has enormous potential but every person I have showed this too has said the same thing to me "dude this is thing looks like a dildo" so while it may be awesome it needs to be visually appealing as well. Just my two cents, I know designers read this thread so, if you want to maximize sales from a marketing majors perspective, change the design up. ;)

Hey battery people can I throw my batteries on the charger right after using them, they are never hot sometimes slightly warm?Should I let them cool before charging or is it no big deal?

Can you (throw my batteries on the charger right after using them)? Yes.
Is it good to do it? No.

You should let them rest for a bit, regardless of their temperature. You've just been whacking them by drawing 4 amps until they're depleted. That's OK, they're designed to take it, but they should rest for at least 5 minutes before you throw them on the charger.

Room temp is better than warm and warm is better than hot. You really shouldn't charge a battery that's hot, you should wait.

:2c: (Not specifically for YB)

None of this (except maybe pushing two amps into a completely spent battery that's too hot to hold) should impact how well your battery works, just how many times you can charge and discharge it before it stops taking a charge (at which point you should re-cycle it).

If you wantonly disregard, by frequently discharging the battery too low (like holding the button in for two minutes trying to eek that last hit out of an LL core that just won't get quite hot enough anymore because the battery is nearly depleted), then you take it out hot and whip it into the charger, feeding it an amp or two so as to recharge it quickly, you may find yourself getting only 10% of the number of cycles out of the battery that you could have, if you were just nicer to your batteries.

So be nice to your batteries. If you're home and have taken enough hits and your battery is only half used, swap it our for a fresh one (you do have more than one battery, don't you?), give the half used one a couple of minutes to cool off and rest, and then charge it back up.

Don't deplete your batteries completely; don't intentionally try to eek out that last hit.

You don't have to be a fanatic about it. There are times when you're out and about, and you have to do what you have to do, just don't do it as a matter of routine, and as you learn how your Cera works, try to recognize when the battery just starts to have trouble heating up the core to what you're used to with a fresh battery. Or be prepared to allocate some a lot of money to replace your batteries more frequently.

In the e-cig world, there are two basic types of "handles". The electronic kind, which all have cutoff safeties built into them, and will stop working when the battery is about 3.2v. And the pure mechanical kind (which is what the Cera is).

In the mech world, you'll read over and over again, "pay attention to when your hits aren't working as well as they do with a fresh battery. And when they're not, it's time to change the battery to a fresh one. Don't wait until the battery is completely dead before swapping it for a fresh one."

Multiple depletions of a lithium cell below 3.0v will really kill the life of the cell. Quickly. This is something to keep in mind, particularly with the LL Cera...

You can get 4 great batteries for $26 from Amazon, as has been mentioned and verified multiple times in this thread. It's better to change out a battery before it's really necessary than to discharge it too deeply.

(Sorry for the rant; pay attention to the bold part in orange)
