Considering a lot of people want ^^^that but also like the 4pc because it provides a instant-reservoir for the ground up bud.... it would make sense for a 4pc grinder product to have just a solid bottom instead of a kief screen.

With the reservoir being extra large like the Mendo

Actually, that idea would be a 3pc grinder ;)

No math involved here, but do you think transferring from 2pc to paper(or hand, etc) your losing the same amount of the kief that would be in the bottom of your 4pc?

Personally, I dont feel like I'm losing anything when I scoop my GonG inside the 'reservior' and in one month I will open the Kief chamber to hopefully find a pleasant surprise.:D

Whenever I dump it on paper there is always some keep stuck to the paper I can't get into an Elb. Just rub your fingers over the paper after you cleaned it up and you will still feel some grit. The 4 piece is better because it has a chamber to hold and nothing gets left behind. Besides with the 4 piece SCS if you don't shake while turning and keep upright I hardly have any kief build up because it is still on the herb.

Using a brush on a 2 piece does as well to clean out what doesn't shake out after grinding. And a 2 piece has no screen to trap particles.

I've found that storing kief in the bottom of a 4 pc. grinder doesn't work well if you have any humidity in the house. You'd get by better in the winter (as long as you don't live where the winters are mild), but all things considered I've found it's much better to remove the kief and store it more air tight than you can get by leaving it in the grinder. A small glass jar does fine for me.

Yeah, I had a 4pc TI SpaceCase that I gifted. Like my 2pc TI SpaceCase much better.

Thanks for the info. I think I will be using the squeegee tonight for some transporting, to glass lol

i'm giving you shit lol, you and others on here are the big reason I made the jump and got eh 4 piece SCS. so thanks A LOT to you guys. whats with you 2-piece grinder guys...? you guys don't like kief? I had a 2 piece a couple grinders ago, and felt like I wasted more kief with the dump to either get to bowl or vape or even container. reason I like the 4 piece. but why are you guys big on the 2 piece? to get the talks going in here. since I think a good grinder is one important step to correct vaping

I like my kief in my vape, not a case (though suctioning up a bunch into my extreme q would prolly be amazing). I also like having a smaller and lighter grinder as well.

I grind, then dump onto a plastic sheet then suction all of it with my extreme Q elbow. This grabs pretty much all of the kief (and I could get all of it if I cared enough to try).

Just cut the screen out of a 4 piece. :p I had a friend whose kief chamber was locked tight and seized, how awful would that be.

I seen a post on reddit where a user placed his grinder on top of a jar, looked like it would work quit nicely for grinder large amounts. I wish I had that problem, :nope:, lol

Can you remove the screen for the SCS? If so, couldn't u wash the screen so it wouldn't be clogged?

I think I might prefer a 3 over a 4 piece grinder in all honesty. Kief gunks up my inhalater capsules, so I'd rather just have a single storage compartment.

As far as efficiency, it's simple. If your bud is really dry when you grind the kief will separate easily and you're better off using a 4 pc. to isolate the kief to avoid losing some here and there. That's when I use a screen grinder. If the herb has moisture content or is sticky you'll get very little kief separation using a screen and lose very little by using a 2 pc. So it all depends on whether your bud grinds easily into very small particles (dry), where you'd lose kief, or grinds into fluffy bits (still has moisture content).

You don't even need both grinder designs to deal with both situations. You just leave out the screen on a 4 pc. (most designs use the same thread pattern throughout) or turn it upside down. If all you have is a 2 pc. you can easily make a sifter by just buying some screen material at your hardware or craft store. You just have to get a fine enough mesh.

My 4 piece Chromium Crusher has left a lot to be desired.

There are often very small metal flakes in my herb that I dont notice until they catch light. I never grind large chunks I always semi break down and remove large stems and yet my teeth on the lid just fell out... I wasn't even using it when it came off. I simply picked it up after getting home from work and lifted the lid and the teeth were just sitting in the grinder still...

It does have a good fine mesh screen but overall I am disappointed in the craftsmanship. I would post a pic but am too new or too dense to figure that out.

I guess I'll have to spend 60+ dollars just to get something worth my while.....

I have decent grinders however this one does a pretty good job for less than $10 and is battery operated.
Could you give us a before and after picture with that electric grinder, showing how well it actually chops up the herb.

He atax -

I had the same exact grinder - it does do a good job but eventually the blades which are very thin will start to bend. You will also notice kief sticking real bad to the plastic shell. Unfortunately because its cheap plastic when you eventually try and scrape the parts clean plastic bits will fall off as well rendering the kief useless. I had about a dozen of those - I actually gave a bunch to friends for the holidays. Again on a good note - it does grind the fuck out of your weed so if you don't want powder make sure you pulse it. Also because of blade spinning so fast it kind of creates enough down force that it will be easier if you shake it a little while grinding and turning it upside down assuring that your weed gets even blade time.

I use to get powder and then there would be large clumps in it. Also, make sure you don't over load it with stems - a thick stem will stop the blade in its tracks!

I love my SCS. It helps me conserve material because it fluffs it up so I use less in a bowl this is great because I usually take too much material and less would usually get me to the same level. Build quality is great.

Im thinking I'll get an SCS. I was thinking about just making the leap to a space case.. but no.

I was going to order my Davinci next week from the DV site but maybe I should find it elsewhere and order the SantCruz along with it. Only reason I was gonna use website is to be sure I would get the upgraded model.

Cheapest place I could find for the SCS (im a legit deal hunter getting a $5 chair that was $200)

It's cheap and blades look like their weak and won't last long.
It does a good good job of fluffing.
