so glad to hear you are keeping your previous line (the DV) around as you introduce the new line (the Ascent). i do not own a DV but the owners of them will be happy to hear that news. I know of one company that came out with a new line and promptly discontinued their old line that was not much more than a year old. that kind or business scares me and makes me glad i did not purchase from them. Not saying they are a bad company and i know they still support their old product line, but to outright discontinue to offer it leaves me feeling a bit awkward <---- My opinion only
I cannot wait! I sold my DV thinking this would be out sooner... My mechanical engineering expertise is available for the next generation Davinci product!

I understand it was best to "pre-charge" the DaVinci overnight before using it for the first time. Presume the same is true here.
Please "pre-charge" the units for Adobewan and OhTheAgony, so they can post reviews within minutes of the UPS guy leaving.

Im a new member, and 10 hours ago I was to one click to buy the PAX until I found this thread!
People, your comments change my mind and now I want this lovely vapo! After spent my last 8 hs reading this 52 pages (yea, true! lol), I will wait until monday to buy it online.
Just few questions to Davinci_vaporizer:
1) After make some research on internet I found a place that says they got the Ascent in stock (wtf!?):

Can I buy it from there or its a lie? Otherwise I will wait until the DaVinci page get the buy option available
2) Im from Argentina (where I think you will be next weekend), but Im living on Brazil, so my question is if there is a way to buy it online and get delivered to this Brazil.
Also I have spoken with my best friend from Buenos Aires and I told him about the ExpoGrow, and I think Juan (my friend) will go to your stand to ask you if you ship the product to Brazil, so you will remember me! unfortunately Im not in Buenos Aires right now, did you plan an Expo close to Sao Paulo?

Of course you can buy it online and we will ship to Brazil, but I also have a few distributors around there which will eventually have the product. This will save you on shipping costs, but I won't be giving them the Ascent until June-July.
Note that NOBODY, has product yet. Once it is on the way...like in the air, I will surely let everyone know. You'll see it first in this thread.

Howdy Fellow vapers!
I am all new to the vaping community. An occasional smoker, I prefer hookah. Recently read about vaporizers and was hooked. My sole interest is to try it for aromatherapy and vape different herbs. I have been looking a lot of different portable vapes for the past month or so. I was initially inclined to get the PAX. However, with all the issues it has and the fact that it has only 3 temp settings, I decided not to.
@ Davinci_vaporizer - Just looking at the promptness of your response in this forum, I am sold that you folks would offer the best service out there in the vaping community. With a complete digital temperature control, would I be able to use Ascent to vape herbs like the white sage, wild lettuce and such - which have a lower vape temps? Have you guys done any in-house tests?
Your help is highly appreciated and wishing you huge success at the ExpoGrow

Certainly. Start at a lower temp than what is advertised for a particular herb, and see which temp setting gives you first taste of flavor. A rule of thumb for most digital vapes- don't take the displayed temp as the Gospel. Find the range, low to high, for your unit and the product you're vaping. Keep in mind that draw speed also affects the actual vaping temp.

for better or worse, I bought a DaVinci about 3 weeks ago... had I known I would have waited.
Luckily for me, my wife seems very intrigued about the Ascent, so without saying go ahead an get it, she certainly did not say no... So, I look forward to ordering from DaVinci as soon as the pre-ordering is available.
At 52, and having toked since the age of 14, I look forward to what looks to be the best Vaporizer yet, improving on the already excellent current DaVinci model...

Welcome, Vaporito! The Davinci is still a fine machine, you did not waste your money. It was actually my first vape ever (aside from the piece of crap I built with a soldering iron and fish bowl) and I instantly saw the benefit of digital temp control.
What is the official name of the company? Is it DaVinci? Wasn't it 'Karma' at one point?

Thanks for the welcome guys... yep a kid at 52 ;-)
I know the DaVinci is certainly not a waste of cash... Aside from it, I also have a wood, glass and metal Vapor Genies... so all in all it's a fine collection. and they all have their uses, if nothing else the experience seems to be slightly different with all of them.
It's almost like the picture you see of the evolution of man.. .starting with the wood Vapor genie, to the metal, glass, DaVinci and culminating with a nice wood finish Ascent! whoohoo!
And lucky me, my wife enjoys it all almost as much as I do... of course I do all the research ad leg work, and should our kids ever find out (he he he), we have an agreement that I'll take the fall for her.. keep in mind our kids are now 20 and 21! But I guess parents will always be parents...
Anyway, with her non-verbal approval, I'm at the ready to pull the trigger as soon as the Ascent is available!

So, I'm waiting for DaVinci to shut up and take my money, and viewing the models in the meantime.
I find the woodgrain one really attractive and eye-catching, both of which aren't exactly complimentary to stealth. I feel if I were to draw the vape out of a pocket, the wood one will draw attention to itself. "Oooo... what's that?"
The silver sides on the Croc one I think draw attention too.
So I think I'm getting the black one for its more non-descript nature. (Unless I say screw subtle and go for wood).
For those that have decided to get one, what color/design are you getting?

Crazy busy day but part one of the contest winnings have arrived, my DaVinci. Arrived way sooner than I was expecting, thats always cool!
Won't get to try it until tonight, but have to say, it's a beautiful piece, beautifully packaged. The matte finsh is like rubberized velvet.
The way my wife was handling it, I fear she may abscond with it.

Congrats Adobewan.... so looking forward to whatever you can post about it, photos, video, tales of how it all works! you will have a blast this weekend.
I know the more we use the DaVinci the more we like it, and I can't wait to upgrade to the Ascent.
I'm particularly interested in what I saw on the Utube video about being able to program specific time periods for specific temps! nice. as I like to start low then bring it up to 400 at the end... (on the Davinci)
