The Non-stick tool that you're talking about hektik ran out that's why they no longer have it available on the website. Wish they did still provide them for sale somewhere else..

Aside from all this.. I got a question for all new Cera owners? How does it feel? :brow:

Good point. Like I think I've said, I have loaned my latching switch out several times now. Two guys have used it to have accidents.....one of them twice!

All 3 times it happened on a solid surface, twice it blew out a large volume of oil I'm told (he said he was overloaded at the time in fact) on a tile counter top. He pointed out that the car has leather upholstery which might have been a major bummer.

The latching switch seems like a big no no for oils but that doesn't change the need in LL.

Woo! Got my Cera EO today. Any tips on using this thing correctly to get high vapor production? These past 3+ months of watching this forum have completely slipped my mind now that I have this thing in my hands. And it doesn't help that I've taken like 15 hits trying to figure it out ... o_O_O_o_O ... I've gotten a few larger hits and I'm not sure what I did differently.

Lol if its loaded properly just hold the button, within 10-15 seconds mine is making more vapor than I can handle and I usually have to back off if I don't wanna cough up a lung. I find it takes almost no teqnique and the more warmed up it gets the thicker the vapor.

Edit: I havn't felt the need to mod my switch, I just hold it kinda like a pencil and push the button with my pointer finger and its almost like the weight of the cera helps keep it pushed in. I don't find this uncomfortable but I have really strong hands /fingers so this definately wouldn't work for some. I still would like the option to buy an aftermarket latching switch but its not the deal breaker I thought it would be, for me at least.

Huh.. Because when I do that, it's mostly working like my 1.5ohm Omicron. Decent hits but definitely not unbearable, otherwise 15ish hits would have floored me.

I'm thinking there is something wrong with how I'm drawing the vapor. I'm not blaming the device, it's probably all about my technique. How hard (or soft) are you inhaling?

I think u need to load more, first time loading the ceramic should absorb .3-.5 .the ceramic sponge is quite thirsty brand new, I don't load a ton at a time .1 balls then use the power to warm it so the concentrate melts into the sponge.

Edit : I use a pretty slow inhale, it shouldn't matter too much once it's warmed up. I'm guessing slower inhale = thicker vapor because less air is getting mixed with it. Also throw in a fully charged battery to eliminate that variable.

Dont over fill it, Hold the button down with the cap off til you start to see wisps or til the insides are glowing, then hit it, maybe puff a few times to get vapor. EO sould be relatively easy.

Just make sure everything's melted in and heating up.

I think you were right, this thing was thirsty. I really thought I had added enough, but it took in another carefully loaded .25g, no problem. Of course, I probably vaped a decent amount of my first load..

What is probably a good sign, I can't keep hitting this thing right now. The last two hits were definitely bigger, and now I need to stop. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for the tips!

About 2 days since my first email to inform of my Core issue and still no word from TET.... All of their phone extensions went straight to voicemail again today. Guess they are still busy trying to push the rest of the orders out. :huh:

I did get another reply from them today. They only have 1 person to reply to emails( I think)

Did you include your FC username? They mentioned to do that so that may help get an answer a bit quicker.

Yup I sure did, I left it in the subject line of the email :shrug:

And it is most definitely not in my spam folder, the mornng after I sent an email I also left them a message over the phone on the customer service extension to be extra sure.

Hey for you battery wizards out there, if the plastic wrap comes off the + side of the battery, is there anything to worry about?

I noticed why they went without the latching switch. Look guys, if you just slightly push the button in and check your LL cart it does heat up the same as pushing it all the way in. I can now get the hang of using this without modding the switch at all. However I did make a ring-like mod that is similar to tweek's mod. works well and the switch twists in all the way no problem. I can easily remove it too if i don't want to use it. Don't use the switch mod for EO carts! You will risk charring up your porous plate inside and definitely lose a chunk of your good stuff. I am so glad that I conserve so much within one day or using it to the next. To give an example, a blunt's worth would probably get you super blown off the Cera and maybe halfway through you might just put it down to let it cool and forget because this stuff gets you medicated enough to start the day or hit the hay. Thank you Thermovape Tech! It was definitely worth the 2 month wait! :love:

In general, if any of the plastic wrap is removed, then yes, there is something to worry about.

The only special exception is if you (or a closely known person) removed it "by mistake" - in only that case, if you're careful, you can repair it is thin adhesive insulating tape. It is probably better to write it off (the time to repair isn't worth it, at least for me - but if I had a proper shrink wrap tubing sitting around, like I might have had 20 years ago, my opinion might be different).

Hmm because the wrap on my battery fell off the end of the + side. I didn't do anything to tamper with it, I think it came this way, so I thought maybe it wasn't a big deal.

Well, I'm glad I asked. I guess I should retire this battery?

Although those were nice videos they will most likely never be seen again. We'll have to wait for more customers to put videos on youtube and for ThermoVape to produce new videos for us to watch.

I watch them all of the time, because when they were up I used Wondershare™ to download all of the videos to my hard drive! :nod:

thats the same way i am, and its VERY important you just put your faith in the cera and go for it.

i thought i was having some major malfunctions with mine for the first day or so i owned mine, but i realized it would work every time my friend that wasn't afraid to tighten the hell out of it screwed the core in. so i began just tightening it prettttttty damn tight, a good bit tighter than what i was first comfortable with, and no problems with the cera since.

Something that can throw you off about screwing the core in is that you need to screw in far enough that the bottom o-ring of the core is below the rim of the body. That means it's gonna get harder to screw in as the o-ring starts slipping in and it might feel like you should slow down, but it's not in all the way yet at that point.

Excellent point, forcing it is not needed.....and if you find it so, something else is causing it. Gronking on it is not a good solution IMO.
