Mobius Glass

If my current condition is any indication of how well it pairs with the Cloud, then the evidence points to "fuck yeah".

A Cloud Buddy is mandatory IMO though. Otherwide the nether side of the Cloud is up your nose.

I wanted to shoot a video... hell I shot several... but they all sucked. So now I'm totally obliterated but with nothing to show for it. I know, I know... poor me.

Back to testing! :science:

Hope you dig the Diamond Disc, I recently snagged a Pentacle and cant put it down! I'm a big fan of the direct inject, if not for dabs, for adapters. Just looks classy with a female joint laid over the direct inject. Especially a Dual! Vape easy my friend!

What water level have you found to work the best with your Pent? I'm pretty sure they function similarly.

I'm still messing with the water level. I like it a little "chuggy" and this unit gives me that at most the levels that I've tried so far.

Definitely chuggy, especially for a little guy. I fill mine so the water level is just overlapping the sandblasted "Pentacle Disc" label, by a few millimeters. I believe it says "Diamond Disc" on yours. I find it stacks the best at that level.:science: Telescoped mouth pieces are so sick, and i love how you can old onto the whole rig like a pair of brass knuckles! Can you mate the Cloud with it? Does it fit? Mine mates with the LSV quite well.

It will mate with the Cloud, but it's not comfortable to hit it native. The Cloud Buddy provides enough clearance, though.

It was smaller than I had pictured in my head. 11.5" top to bottom. I like the size.

Mobius is so nice it makes me want to start spending thousands of dollars on a shit load of pipes again. I go through this phase every 3 years...

Edit: are those laser cuts?

That is a double chamber reti tube. Unless that ad is a recent one, I'm pretty sure Mobius has only made 1/1 of those. That one was the only one I ever saw on ALT. In fact, it's sitting on my glass shelf at the moment. I don't own it. Belongs to a good buddy of mine. Unfortunately, he broke the joint, and it needs a repair.

Yes, broken glass is always quite sad. I have a heart breaker myself; my Micah Evans Prototype. The Mobius looks like its an easy fix though, I've seen a whole bunch of different glass blowers post pics of repaired joints and such. Gotta hit up Fishbone soon and get on that list.

Edit:

Forgot to add that I was fortunate enough to have had an opportunity to hit that double Reti. Was during the combustion days but it was insanely smooth and had an impressively fast clear considering its size and amount of percs. Good stuff! I also owned one of the first Strato w/ Reti percs...at least the first ones ALT had before Mobius really blew up. Its "pre-maturity" shows in a way, it has a slight lean. Holds a place in my heart forever though. It was the first real piece of scientific glass I ever had and its what really got me into collecting. I've also had a Matrix Ion which I thought was a really great piece too.

All around Mobius is a talented guy and gets the respect he deserves. He's a great craftsman with some of the more unique perc styles out there. Would recommend him to anyone for sure.

Edit2: Here's the early Reti. Tube was bought in June 2011 Also an indication of early Reti/Matrix percs is the size of them. He made them a bit larger during that time. Just some Mobius nostalgia is all. And for those who may be wondering, to the right of the Mobius is a Luke Wilson Gridded Inline to Mini 14 Arm.

That heady bubbler to the left looks freakin' amazing!

Sith I care
Yeah, I was looking at that 60t. I suspect I'd be happier with a matrix ion though, but god knows when one of them will show up. Still, it'll be a couple months at least before I can have a cloud of my own, so maybe I shouldn't rush...

Is purdy, though.

Hey Fred,

Which one of your Mobius pieces could you not live without if you could only have 1? And what is your favorite vape to use with said Mobius? Wondering about that stereo matrix vs the bubs?

Been thinking about my next piece and you know just looking for feedback on the Mobius stuff. I'm currently working with a Lattice as my daily driver.

Got my stuff out for a cleaning, took some pics of the mobius :mmmm:

and some close-ups of the 60t
