Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Congratulations on the International Cloud's! Exciting.

In this thread a few pages back, SM55 explains why he went threw these European distributors instead of selling them themselves.

As a growing business, we have had to make some decisions that I disagreed with, or Troi disagreed with, but it is a fact of business that some of your decisions will make people happy and some will piss people off. What we try to do is make decisions that we think would benefit the majority. In the case of the international Clouds, we really needed to get international distribution in place as these were key relationships that are required that can help us expedite our CE certification process.

Anyhow, my tolerance is going way up. This sucks. I might have to switch to another unit and not touch the Cloud Plus for a bit. But I can't stay away. I love it way too much.

Not to be a dick (you know I always have been really polite and suportive with you and your staff) but that don't solves anything. In the 4/20 I will still have the same price/taxes problems.

I'm in contact with other european preorderers and we all feel dissapointed that after 2 years waiting, we will have to pay more that US preorders.

As I explained in another message, we had to get distribution in place so that we can expedite our CE certification and sell in Europe. If we didn't, then we could not sell them in Europe and then no one would be able to purchase them. So what would you rather have, no Clouds or the chance to buy one? Those were our two options, if you are still upset, nothing I can do here.

SM, dont get me wrong. i want a cloud for years.. but to say: So what would you rather have, no Clouds or the chance to buy one?
for what did you do a preorder and tell international customer, no worry will hold the discount for you etc?

the only reason for not ordering from the US was the garantie issues when plugged the cloud to a changer/120to220volt (dont kow the correct word).

i have to calm down and maybe i order a cloud from eu distributor, maybe not..

sorry for my crappy english

i'm little

its my problem so you dont have to answer...i'm free to buy or not buy and you're not depending on me for your business. but i made my preorder march 2011. i think it should mean something.

have a nice day people and all clouders, please produce alot of vapor for me.

I can understand the disappointment for the international members, but it's not like you got ripped off and prepaid for a miVape or anything like that. You're not out any money. After all the hurdles over the last couple of years, I am amazed it is already out.

But I still haven't heard from anyone doing the math. Would a preorder Cloud with international shipping and customs be any less than one delivered from a local distributor without those expenses?

My problem is not because the wait or the chance to have a cloud, is with european preorders treated different from US preorders. I understand that you need CE certifications and can wait till 4/20, the problem is that US preorders had a much better deal than we are going to have. They had a cheaper Cloud and we will have some credit that maybe don't want/need. I know about the MSRP, but we where here before it and aren't going to hurt resellers because we where ordering from you before them did. I think we deserve a better deal.

As you said lemonade out of lemons, but at the end of the day you don't hold your word and I will have to pay full price and be forced to do 2 orders if I want to "enjoy" some extra credit that maybe I won't need.

I hope I made my point better this time, english is not my main and sometimes I have problems with it.

If VXL has to sell Clouds at the same price and I have to pay the shipment from US and taxes, it is going to be more than if I order from an European retailer (less shipment and no taxes, no need to calculations) My mistake, I didn't read your message right.

And you will ask, why don't I order from Europe? Maybe I have to do it in the end, but if I have something promised (and proof of it) the fair would be that they give me what promised.

so european does not mean international?
yes
but there are many places other than europe that are international and do not depend on CE certification with old preorders
international is not only europe that is what i meant

There was a similar situation for US pre-orders several months ago. Clouds were being sold to the general public before all the pre-orders could be filled. I'm sure this was not what VXL had originally planned, but due to the demands of their merchant processor, their hand was forced and people who had been waiting in line were upset (as could be expected).

While the circumstances are obviously different with the Int'l Cloud, the bottom line is that the units will be available for everyone at the same time, pre-orders be damned.

Shit happens, people. Life goes on. The best laid plans of mice and monkeys and men.....

At the end of the day, I would suggest to those that feel screwed over take a step back and look at the bigger picture: International Clouds are a reality, and that's something that should be celebrated, not bitched about.

You can choose to be upset that someone else might get their Cloud before you, or you can choose to be happy for the fact that you will soon yourself have the opportunity to see why the Cloud is IMO the best vaporizer on the planet.

Choose wisely, my friends.

As I said my problem is not waiting some more time, it just was the last straw. My problem is what I have been promised and what they are offering now.

It seems being an adult is also a problem you have. Time to pull up the "big girl" panties and deal with it. You are out nothing. You deserve nothing. Crying about it won't help, and in fact, disrupts the harmony of this community . . .

mod note: All members must be treated in a respectful and adult manner. If you can't follow this rule, then do not address another member's behavior.

I think your post is offensive and is what disrupts my harmony. If you don't respect international users at least don't be a dick please, I try my best to be polite. Your post is the only one here that is disrespectful. Maybe the problem with being an adult is in your side?

all we are saying is that we backed up the cloud before even there was a possibilty of having it and waited literally years to have it.
i know that in the end of the day it is just business, but since this vape emerged from this forum i fell like part of the process as i keep up with the thread and due to the open relation the founders always had here.
We all will end up getting our clouds one way or another, just wanted to say that it wasnt cool the way it were done.
but its time to move on and vape a little to forget it

A nice sentiment but it earns you nothing. You never paid anything, therefore there is NO contract, nothing to enforce. You can feel bad, but once again, I say deal with it.

A little story for you "younger folks" who may be entering the luxury market for the first time, and what it means to be an adult. I was in the luxury car business most of my life. Once I had a pre-order for a $70,000+ car. Based on the delivery estimate from Japan, my customer sold his BMW 7 series. Well the vehicle was delayed for a couple months, port damage, and my customer ended up buying a new BMW 7 series to drive for a couple months while he waited. Needless to say, when he traded in that BMW, he lost about $18,000 USD. Did he get angry? Did he blame me or my company for the delay? Did he DEMAND compensation? Did he throw a fit or refuse to buy my product? No. He gladly paid, MSRP btw, because he is a gentleman and a business man and he understands how the world works and what it takes to play in it sometimes . . .

Grow up.

You had a bad day today? Coming here to talk other people over their 30's like they aren't adults and telling them to grow up because they don't think like you, seems a little disrespectful and won't make your day better (not trying to bash you, but don't understand why you're so agressive against us)

I understand your history, but I'm not the type of guy that will have something promised and shut up. If I was that guy I would probably go to buy my car to other place and you will be stuck with a $70000+ car. For me the world is not about paying like you have no brain, is about fighting for what you deserve, especially if you have the promise from someone. In fact, the one not being a gentleman and a business man is the one who promises something and don't keep his word. We are not DEMANDING anything special apart from what we have been promised.

I won't discuss anymore about this offtopic here, but I gladly invite you to send me a pm if you want and we can keep talking as long as needed as adults do.

I don't see any adults in this exchange.

t-dub, you know better. You've been around long enough to know about the "Be nice!" rule.

b0, you should know better than to respond. If someone is offensive then report it and move on. By responding you encourage a flame war. You also make it hard for us to moderate.

Finally, to the members who "liked" the posts on either side, you should be really happy that I'm not handing out points. If you "like" an offensive post you will get a point too! Try to keep that in mind.

Yes, I've read the other posts. This should be all that needs to be said.

I contacted customer support before purchasing. Was assured to get the "plus" model.

I received an old one(8min heat-up, 9feet cord, spacer on the bamboo, old documentation ect..). Customer support don't awser my question and are very rude.

They tell me its only a waranty thing but I have medical issue and the unit is really hot, too hot to handle and safe with my condition.

I bought those rubber wrist band on ebay, hope it will do. We all know the older model have the high failure rate too.

I'm very dissapointed with customer service so far.

I was going to place an order today, but this post made me decide not to. I emailed support and asked about cloud plus as well and the response I got was that 'our website has the latest cloud + model available'. I wanted to purchase an HT package, but your post makes me worried that I would receive an old unit as well. This is an expensive purchase, why would I accept the older model that takes longer to heat up? I guess I will have to wait until ordering the new model is more reliable.. Or just go with an ssv? I don't know anymore..

Edit: was assured by VapeXhale forum member that I would get the new + model if ordering through their site. I'm gonna go for it!

what was offensive in the posts of b0?

What part of "This should be all that needs to be said." is causing you trouble?

You clearly need to review the rules. Among them you will see:
  • If you feel someone is breaking the rules or causing some kind of problem, don’t try to deal with it yourself. Use the Report feature located at the bottom of each post.
That's what b0did wrong—and you "liked" it. Also, you just broke the rule right before that:
  • Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.
You just used up the last free pass left for this derail. Any further posts on this squabble by anyone gets a point.

I just got a few of the silicone wrist bands for my cloud, holy shit - I should have gotten them sooner.

One of the bands was given to me by my 4 year old daughter Lyla - so it says princess power! I think my cloud is gay now

And no - that doesn't bother me at all! I'm an equal rights vaporyst!
