Discontinued Thermovape Cera

Battery life with Cera is going to be a lot better than with a T1 supply driving a Cera cart.
Strange comment considering you're using it on a 14500, the T1 with a 17670 should give almost 3x in comparison.

Yes, but Cera will be several times the 17670, right? Not strange at all as I see it. I'm saying 'a Porche goes faster than a VW' and you're saying 'that's strange, you ride a bike that's slower than a VW'???

so i got my cera LL with 3 2900's. vaped 1 trench and being my first time ever using a TET product let alone this style-heating of vape. i was surprised with the clouds and thought i got really nice size clouds before even really picking up on the learning curve, just picking it up and basically shooting in the air.

however after i vaped 1 oven, put a different battery that was fully charged and pushed the button and no heat. core would not fire up and turn red at all. called TET and im gonna ship it back to them to work on. However, i notice with only a certain battery i got (could be all of them, i havent tried it extensively) if i dont screw the core all the way down, i can find a 'sweet spot' where the core will fire if i push the button and it works to the point where i can have a pretty nice sesh.

also it combusted after what was DEFINITELY no longer than 1 minute into the sesh. (different sesh)

what on earth is wrong with my cera that it only works if the core is screwed in to a certain very specific point?!

I know I've seen people here say to try putting a dime in with the battery, or stretch the spring out a little bit.

It sounds to me like you're just not getting a good electrical connection in there somewhere. Screwing the core down all the way probably just makes the contact with the battery that much closer. It ain't worth much but that's my guess.

yep i tried the dimes thing too and that didnt change anything. its weird to me how i can only get it to fire so far with 1 battery. ill keep trying with the other ones though. i feel like once i have this vape and it works as intended every time, the LL will be a really really really great vape. cause the few good trenches ive gotten so far really were pretty satisfying.

I guess this is for people who could care less about that kind of stuff, like me. All i know and care is its safe medical grade ceramic/SS, it vapes my herb nice and evenly with no combustion and tastes amazing. Gets me really medicated, so I'm happy.

I don't think there's anything basically wrong with your Cera, it works fine at times it seems? I agree you've got some sort of contact or battery issue going on from the sounds of it.

What battery type is giving you the troubles? What happens if you put it in upside down?

No temperature control? Seriously, I need more control over my vaping than this thing offers.

Plenty of temperature control.....seriously. But it depends on the user developing some skills to make that happen. That appeals to some of us, but not to others. If you want a computer to do your thinking for you you'll have to look to the vapes that have computers for sure.

FWIW I don't see that as "more control over my vaping" but less. But that's a personal preference.

It sounds like you want a "closed loop" portable vape, one that monitors it's own working temperature and automatically adjusts accordingly? I suggest perhaps something like Solo or Pax? Something with an automatic transmission, Solo is a 'stick shift only' deal.

I agree, sounds like Cera is a poor choice for you. Good luck.

Cera LL has really won me over. With a glass stem in your thermal condom + screen on top of the ceramic and a packed bowl you are getting unbelievable clouds, clouds that beat my pax by far and matched my Inhalater XP. IMPRESSIVE... The air flow is wide open and you can watch the vapor milk the stem. For some reason I felt like the Cera got me higher than my other vaporizers???

Its easily becoming my go to LL vape@home. I have to go find some smaller mouth pieces that will fit, I have a feeling my local glass blower can blow a joint to fit over the cera with a 1/2 - 1 inch glass mouth piece.

First off, glad you've found true happiness.....a strong testament to Cera that useful mods are easy to suit individuals.

I'm a little at a loss about the above wish to have a custom glass MP made, why don't you just use the one TV had VRIP make? Mine's a half inch or so MP, there's also a GonG version IIRC.

Yeah I might just order that but I can probably get it made for 10-15 bucks and have it right away. Wouldn't a white glass mouth piece be sick??

Perhaps I should have used the word -odd- instead. (also a descriptor for your dramatic last-word commenting style)

Is the glass mountpiece from TET still available? I tried to select it when I placed a Cera order a few days ago & their website said it wasn't in stock.

Man I can't seem to get it down right on the LL. Any tips that may have worked for others here? I can't get fine dense vapors from mine only moderate and usually after the first three hits you start to notice there isn't anymore THC to produce more vapors. i also grind it fine as well but that only helps a tiny bit. half-way bowls or full bowls? which one was noticeably better? thanks in advance!

Hey VapeStL,

Not sure if the VRip MP is still available, but I picked up a second one of those sweet WP adapters (I like the solid feel to it) from TET just last Thursday!!! BTW, with the WP adapter fitted over the LL bowl, one can easily watch the core heat up in dim light. I've found that I can use this visual feedback to easily regulate my draw (ie if the core dims too quickly I've either not allowed the bowl to 'pre-heat' properly or my 'draw' is too hard). Anyway, been having a lot of fun with the LL cart as of late (thanks to everyone for their inspiring mods and suggestions). Happy vaping!

My Cera is broken and I just got the reject call button when I tried calling customer service, and no reply to my email that was sent last night upon the final deciding that there is most definitely some (most likely small) issue with my switch and or body that causes the cores to not fire up every time:/

I have not dropped Cera, havent made any modifications, Ive simply used her as she was designed to be used and not even super heavily, say 1-5 loads per day (Mainly the LL cart)depending if I was showing her around to friends.

Hers whats going on....She worked pretty darn well the first 3 days ( the eo cart was lagging but I assumed I flooded it, so i gave it an iso bath and boiled it to get her cleaned up, loaded her up again that nigh and she was working but every now and then she wouldnt catch and I found myself holding the swtich longer than I had to hold it for my LL so that kind of worried me since the EO should be a smokestack in 10 seconds from what Ive gathered from the other users on FC, and so I pulled out the EO yesterday when I was presenting the Cera to my group of friends and I just end up looking like a dumby with a broken piece because the EO wont work ( the LL did work though it would occasionally not fire up).

I have three batteries that I make sure are fully charged before I test the cores to see if they will fire up.......My discovery baffled my mind... The LL will start about 1/3 to half the time as of yesterday. The LL would begin getting slightly warm but wouldnt glow red, so I unscrew the LL and screw her back in and now it will work, yet its start up time is definitley slower than the first time I got here(I have a vidoe of her out of the box and start up was near instantaneous. SO I try the EO core and it acted similar, took forever to start up and wouldnt even get too hot too touch like she did the first 2-3 times She was working.

Anyways what my discovery was is that the cores (both of them do this) will fire up better If I apply some downward pressure on to the cart (which seems to complete the connection? idk), so it seems that the carts aren't getting full contact with the power supply perhaps? Im guessing the Switch or the body is to blame since the Cores have shown that they can fire up.....and must I say when they did fire up the first few times it was a miracle, I love this device and Im deeply saddened that mine may have fallen victim to the qaulity control issue... I will contact TET again after I eat lunch and hopefully they arent too busy and Ill get something besides a machine on the other end............:bang:

This is how I get the thickest vapor:

--Mod the switch so it latches. Insert your battery and leave it to warm up while you grind your herb or at least 30sec.

--Grind up some DRY herb. It is very important that it be dry.

--Pack it into the bowl. I do it halfway, not super tight but firm. I then place a small solo screen on top.

--I then place a glass mouthpiece that I rigged up, similar to the TET version. I get an open airpath this way. I start to puff until I see some vapor, which is almost immediately. From there I get PLUMES of thick vapor. I will post a video soon. I just wish this was possible without so much modding on my end.

This is what mine looks like:

Ill post up a video also. My set up is basically like that but it has the tubing over it..^ follow his instructions.. I get lung busting hits like that.. I usually put it down after the 2nd-3rd puff cause its too much..

* you dont even need a piece that goes around the whole ceramic, maybe just an 18mm joint sitting over it with the screen on it will work [i use a dbv wand]
