The Pinnacle by Vaporblunt

No man, there is no issue with the taste. Just because one person says it doesn't compare to a plug in unit... doesn't mean you should fret. I've yet to use a portable that puts out the same kind of power available from a desktop. I've been using it for about 3 weeks, and the only issue you can legitimately make is the fact the lid is a little loose.

Cleaning is also a common issue being brought up... and the most common question on ANY portable vape is smell. People love to know if vapes smell lol. Vapes ALL smell. You won't smell it across the room... but if you put your nose net to it... it'll faintly smell. As far as cleaning goes... invest in some cleaning wipes (similar to those given at restaurants). Just use your tools given in combo with these wipes and you can have a brand new looking Pinnacle after every use. I'll explain it more clear with visuals in my video. Should be up tonight if it doesn't take too long to upload to YouTube.

I can't wait for the vids on cleaning. I know what to do but always like to watch someone else cause they might have a better way.

Again I ask has anyone found a way not to have this unit turn on in your pocket?

More thoughts about my new toy, the Pinnacle:

It's not necessary to put the PN in its stand while it's charging since the power cord plugs directly into the PN itself. The stand, although made of plastic, feels solid and sturdy. I like that the stand allows me to use the PN hands free when I'm home. The PN does a thorough job of extraction and herb looks evenly vaped, even without stirring.

The bullet design of the herb chamber works well and seems pretty durable. Don't pull the bullet out right away after finishing a session...it's hot! Wait for 2 minutes. The bullet cools down very quickly. It would be nice if there were an included tool that could lift out the bullet. I recommend pulling the bullet out each time you've finished. This is a convection vape, but since the bullet does get hot, there's probably a small amount of conduction also going on.

My "M.O." for the PN has been to fill the bullet about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full. This gives better cloud production than say 1/4 of the bullet. The vapor is still satisfying, just smaller hits. You get medicated, it just takes a little longer. 2 minutes after the PN shuts off, I remove the bullet and put the PN back in its stand to keep the battery topped off. When I'm ready for my next sesh, i put the bullet back in, and usually get another sesh or two on low. When the vapor starts decreasing significantly, I turn the PN to high temp. The fog just keeps coming. :haw:

My :2c: about the future "PRO" model:

1. Allow use while charging
2. Increase battery life from 45 min to 60-75 min
3. Increase # of temp settings from 2 to 4. 350, 370, 390, 410
4. Longer mouthpiece options that stay cooler for those of us w/o the WT :(
5. Battery life indicator

EDIT: I realize the VB2 incorporates some of the items on my wish list for the Pro. But personally, I don't need a vape for oils, concentrates, etc, which the VB2 can handle. And the VB2 is bulkier than the PN. If you could fit the above features from my wish list for the Pro AND keep it at the PN's current dimensions, that would be amazing. It would also allow the VB2 to occupy it's own niche and not become obsolete.

The VB2 satisfies your # 1,2,3,5 - I think they were marketing it as the pinnacle upsell, but not sure about the future Pinnacle Pro (maybe they are moving away from the VB2?)

So three times now I got seven full ten minute sessions before the battery quit. I was charging over night. This time I charged it for about an hour after it turned blue which was the fastest it ever did. I think maybe an hour but going all the sessions I was suspicious. I was right to be suspicious. I got two yes two sessions and when I went to turn it on for the third it flashed the dark blue. I now have it charging but it makes me wonder for all those who understand batteries, if you charge it well after the solid blue will you get more time. I did but have no idea if that was just an anomaly even though it was three times. If I was out and got only two ten minute sessions I would be pissed. I am now going to bring a backup with me tomorrow just in case. I have to be able to trust the reliability of my vape hence all the time/session tests.

Yeah, you're right. I just don't like the bulk of the VB2 in comparison with the PN. They're about the same length, but the VB2 is almost twice as thick. Plus, I don't really need the option for oils, concentrates etc.

Hey guys, just got ahold of my local Headshop; Armor Glassworks, and the Pinnacle really intrigued them; so much that I'm bringing a few of my hydro-tubes up to the shop this week... They might be interested in creating some custom Pinnacle/VB2.0/Cloud water attachments! If so, I'll probably be creating an "Armor Glassworks KC" thread. Pinnacle is about to take off!

The Gotvape website suggests charging the PN 6 hours the first time in a response under the questions tab. Supposedly this "conditions" the battery. If this indeed the case, I didn't hear anything about it from Vaporblunt or Gotvape before this. I just charged mine for 3 hours before the first use.

I charged it over night every night since I got it. I think this was just a anomaly because it has been charging all this time since that last post and still isn't solid blue. I think last time it just didn't charge. Ah as I typed this it just turned solid. I am going to leave it on for another hour or so and not use it to the morning when I have to go out. I am bringing the solo as a back up anyhow cause I need to use a dremel on the washer I have for it. I really think on low 7 is going to be my number and even if 6 I am pleased to death. The next few days will tell.

Edit: I just looked at the time on my last post so this was two hours over the hour and change of the first charge with two full sessions in between. That makes more sense. I think it just flipped out the first time maybe the plug moved and it read full when it wasn't.

One more Edit: I used the DV plug for the first time :hmm:

Indeed!, but in all seriousness TRVB mentioned a while back that the prototype Pro model almost resembled a VB 2.0 in size. At this point in time some of the main features of the PN are it's small footprint and ability to produce (if my memory serves me correctly) 4 full sessions. If a Pro version is released, we might see a compromise in terms of battery life in favour of an increased temperature range if the dimensions stay the same.

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future as battery technology keeps developing in terms of size and duration (TWSS again!).

Alright moon-men, I've got a really good grasp of this thing these last few weeks, and feel like I've got a pretty decent representation of the Pinnacle in the video. I obviously can't get as in-depth as you all can with words in the threads, but I try my best to give a visual representation of what the overall all vibe is from these posts, as well as through my own personal experience. I think if you guys have followed this thread for the last few weeks, you already know I fucking love this thing... the video will explain itself. (LOL you see what I did up there^^)

Pinnacle by VaporBLUNT (Review)
I've said it once, I'll say it again. This thing is not perfect, but NO vape is perfect. I see too many people in these threads trying to find a perfect vaporizer... and there's yet to be one I'd classify in that range. They all have their pro's and con's. That being said, this is one of the most consistent performers that I've got the opportunity to use thus far. It's about a 7.5/10 overall in clouds (vapor production), the taste is 8/10, the portability is much better than you'd expect out of a 5" unit; a solid 9/10.
-My only gripe is the water adapter not fitting as tight as I'd like, and that might just be my unit... not sure if everyone else has this similar issue. Not a deal killer, because it's obviously not hard to grab the piece by the nozzle when removing it from your water pipe.
- This thing is really low maintenance. For every person I see wanting to know how to clean it... I obviously don't get too in-depth in the video... just do my best to show you the basics. It's really common sense. Just get a q-tip or a vape-wipe and clean off the pieces that get direct contact with the vapor/herb. It's 10X easier to keep clean than the Pax or N02... or something that doesn't feature a removable trench.
I hope you guys enjoy the flick... you're the only reason I keep doing this shit. It's cool to hop on these forums after a stressful day, get baked... and see what's on everyone's mind. I'm fairly new to these parts... but I honestly think we've got a pretty good thing going here at FuckCombustion....

Nice Review THR, I've been lurking here for a while, and the mouthpiece popping off is really my only concern with this vape, since I usually will pair it up with glass. I also wondered what the plan is for when the battery dies. Will there be a way to send it in for replacement later on? I'm hoping to free up some fundage soon so I can try this one out, as all the good reviews have me wanting. I do have a birthday coming soon :brow:

When I first looked at the pinnacle I had concerns about those tabs also. There is a thin line between sticking on and falling off. The thing I was most concerned aBout was if the plastic tabs could break easily, and the answer to that is no. The tabs are a part of the mold, and that was the most important design aspect to us. If something were to happen to the tabs your device would be useless. With that said, I have never had the top coming off be an issue for me in either use or travel.

We always take care of our customers, and will definatly offer some sort of solution to the end of your batteries life. Think about it like a cell phone though, how many of us actually have replaced the batteries in our smartphones lately?

I remember reading that they may set up a return program to get it replaced for a fee. I have not read anyting since. I'm sure TRVB will follow up, though.

Edit: oops I was little slow to post.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

It's all about the circumference or so I hear.

I am wondering? Why would I pick The Pinnacle over a VaporBlunt 2.0 and vice-versa? A glance at the specs seem to tell me that other than appearance they are very similar?

The 2.0 is truely more powerful. Issues such as what dreamer is afraid of, with how many uses He/She needs from a portable in order to make it through a day, are not a concern with vb2.0. I also find the density of vapor to be more with 2.0 than Pinnacle. However, when on the go I reach for the pinnacle lately, as it fits best in my pants.

I do not believe portables should only be designed for on the go use, the reality of our studies show a lot of our customers rarely leave the house ;) the 2.0 is as good of a home unit as there is available now, and it just happens to be portable. Answer: buy them both :)

Great video THR

I will not increase either. Our goal is to use the se exact size body, if we can not achieve that I will cancel the pro entirely.

I hope you achieve your goals. I, along with a great number of the others here on the forum wouldn't mind owning both the standard PN and the Pro models. What can I say, I'm a fan....

Cheers
