. . . I am still hunting for the perfect ELB brush. I need something that is not as wide as the ELB diameter but also has some soft bristles on the sides and more importantly the end of the brush so I can get the stuff at the bottom.

I have a dozen ELB's. I mangled one with the 2-cap method and another trying to use an ELB/HT to mod a Q (no cigar), otherwise the rest are still in pretty good shape since a year. I'm using the same brush as you (I followed your link) and haven't had a problem with stuff at the bottom. It all comes out when I do the sides, using both a circular and an in/out motion.

. . . I wonder if the lack of insulation material around the glass bamboo at the base was a purposeful change to allow more heat to escape out from the internals, instead of building up too much? . . .

My March & July vintage Clouds have no insulation around the bottom section of the bamboo. I can actually see the circuit board thru the bamboo glass. If there was insulation at the base, that had to be in a later revision.

That is the same brush I use now and it is still the best one I have found so far but the very end of the brush on the tip is more metal and less brush so it does not do quite as well on the stuff at the very bottom. For all I know having a brush with more bristles at the tip to help get the bottom would probably just give me grief as stuff got stuck in the bristles. It does a great job for the sides though because it is so small and nimble but not too small.

I tap my ELB's into a tightvac container to store the abv. It is not as convenient as tapping it on a flat surface. Usually I dump my ABV and tap the excess into my tightvac. I then use that brush to clean out the inside quickly and then dump tap on the side of the sink (easier to do than the side of a round tightvac) and that gets it really clean.

I've been following pretty closely, but must have missed something. Which brush are you guys using to clean the ELBs?

I've started removing the ELB between hits and I am seeing a difference. I definitely stretch each load a little bit by doing this.

Stretch each load sounds absolutely awful

LOL!!! So I suppose that the conduction from leaving the ELB in is prematurily vaping? Do you see vapor coming off the top when it's left in? Must be pretty easy to remove though after a hit, so I think i'll be doing the same when I receive my package.

Wow, looks like the store has some pretty good stock, of like every HT except for the Evolver tree. I went with the Evolver Circ.... do you guys think I made a good choice? I mean, I know they are all good and everything but I had a hard time deciding between the Evolver, swagger showercap, and VX circ 2.0. I didn't really like the idea of the two piece VX circ 2.0 with the keck clip so I figured I would just buy the dry tube as well with the Evolver.

Does anyone know if there are quality differences between Swagger, Evolver, and VX glass? Or are they all top notch (which i'm assuming)?

I wish I could fast forward a week.

While clearing hits with my Cloud, I like to hold the male joint close to the female joint to make sure I get whatever vapor might float out the ELB between hits. I also immediately remove the ELB after each hit. I like to think this gets me close to 100% efficiency in terms of zero vapor being wasted. :)

i've only used my swagger so as far as comparison im as useless as tits on a bull - but with that being said I can tell you that the swagger shit is built like a tank. Beautiful cuts and real clean piece - as far as diffusion I can honestly say that I have seen nothing like it. 5ml of water is all it takes and you lose no taste.

ive seen a swagger circ and it was sick.

im rarely taking a break between hits, so no reason for me to remove. i guess if i were just chillin for an hour or so taking hits here and there i would want to take it out. but my session with one elb lasts about two minutes.

All the glass is top quality. You made a good choice imho. Circs are great, even, all around diffusion and may pose less breakage and maintenance headaches. The diffusion is more "organic" than on a tree if I may try to verbalize a feeling I have had regarding the two. The ShowerCap is awesome for taste, but not enough diffusion to be a daily driver for me, so its a specialty piece for certain situations. I am really impressed with my inline, ShowerCap flavor but with more liquid and less drag . . .

I think most of the vapor action when the ELB is left in still comes from convection heating. If I hold my hand over the cloud while empty I can feel a significant hot air current constantly emanating from the top.

Well, since we're on the subject I need some HT advice too! When I make my cloud package purchase, I want one that has some diffusion but still retains most of the flavor and also milks easiest and with most space for vapor to fill. T-dub feel free to chime in bro!!

My tops are the Swagger circ, SSFG Inline and ummm even though this contradicts most of my requirements but the Swagger double (I was thinkin I can only fill one perc if two percs is overkill and I assume it's the biggest tube you can buy which equals more vapor per hit and yeah, it's bad ass!)

I want to knock this out in one shot and hoping I don't go shopping for another HT a few months from now. Ooo a little background, Ive always preferred the best of things if I can afford it. Edit: SSV out of straight whip never been an issue for me and occasionally, this HT WILL be used with a bubbler for my bootleg devastator creation, so drag is a factor. All clouded thoughts are appreciated ;-)

I notice you guys asking what brushes to use to clean.

Here is a tip for y'all.. Go to a mall with your GF and head into "Sephora" its a make up store. In it they have copious amounts of those EXACT brushes for free on the product stands (which are meant to put on mascera.. I don't know how to spell it)

She goes on to buy whatever and I go off to grab a handful of those brushes.. I haven't had to buy a cleaning brush for my vapes in YEARS..

The Swagger Showercap has been reported as best for taste. The Double probably robs the most flavor.

Nothing does everything the best, but again the Showercap doesn't take much water, so may be your best choice.

That is a good idea but what kind of brush is it? Can you describe it? For an ELB I need something that has some bristles on the side to scrape the side walls but have something at the tip as well to get the bottom. I don't mind paying for it if I could find that but don't want to amass a collection of brushes. I keep an eye out whenever I am out and about and for every new LHS I check out their brushes. I found a nearly perfect design for a brush at the beer store if only they made it ELB size. Next time I am at the mall (which is never if I could have it my way) I will check out that store.

Having experienced what I have, and thats not a lot, if I had it to do all over again, and I could choose only one HydraTube, it would still be the circ. It just does everything really well, and has less headaches. I just hit the inline again and the taste is fantastic but its harsher than the circ. TBH, I love them all, but the Devastator is my daily driver . . . :luv:

I think my mind is made up - the swagger circ gives me a weed boner! Hopefully by Wednesday I'll be able to order it.

Now to go make some money for it...

Max, thanks dude! Believe it or not, for some reason, I wanted to stay away from the Showercap because it doesnt entice me. It's filtration seems incredibely simple and almost dull compared to other perc

The more filtration the less taste. My preference is in between, as in circ or tree.

This is my first post, I have been a lurker for a lil while on this site, I honestly wasn't hip to FC and just through googling came across this site and have fallen in love since lol...I go to this site for info on everything smoke related...ie best vape, best grinder, how to use your vape or different mods to make to your vape

I have read through the cloud thread and I am a little conflicted on an issue of authorized dealers ...I have found the cloud in stock at a few places but I m not sure if its the Cloud Plus they are selling or the original that was having issues. The reason why I was considering ordering from a different site then Vapexhale is because of possible discounts offered by other sites and the fact that I plan on using my cloud with my mobius so don't really see a need for paying extra for a HT. The sites I have gone to say they are authtroized but you never know. So I guess my question is can anyone answer or have you dealt with thease sites

EZVAPE.com offers the cloud along with a 10% discount and free shipping which brings it down to around 404.00
Puffitup.com offers the cloud with a 12% discount with free shipping which brings it to about 395.00 per unit
vapornation offers the cloud and has a 11% discount
last i found was
vaporstore.com which has a 10% discount code...

most of the codes could be found at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/retailer-discussion-discounts.1802/

but i did find some through just googling as well....I appreciate anyones input and advise...

Thank you for your post, I just want to clarify something so that nobody gets confused. At one point all of these companies did offer discounts, however due to the high cost and rules between us having multiple distributors, all of these discounts don't apply. Just like the FC discounts don't apply to Volcano. This keeps all the distributors playing fair, so none of these discount will apply to the cloud. However all of these stores are allowed to give you free gifts, just as VXL does 8 free elbs, grinder, free shipping ECT.

Also, if you do not buy from VXl when registering your warranty we need a validated receipt. If the unit was sold below MSRP we do not register the warranty, this is how we protect VXL, our distributors, and our customers from rogue distributors as they wont get very far because the second we reject a warranty they get a charge-back.
