New to the vaping scene.. Used this site to help me empty my wallet of all that money that was weighing me down and make vaping in my life what it is today. From the great state of Minnesota. Been smoking for 15 years roughly. depending on what you are talking about.. Recently since I am coming up on my 30th bday and I have told myself I would quit smoking cigs by my 30th I decided maybe I should give vaping a try to get me at least away from the negative effects of a lung full of combusted organic and non-organic compounds.. and on to a healthier way of life.. really hinders me from working out and such... I'm the proud owner of an EQ.. which really sold me on vaping.. and soon to be the proud owner of a MFLB and a Blu in a couple days here as well... Guess that's my whole vaping life right there.. glad to be a member of the forums...

Another "noob" here.

I found the site when i was researching vapes. I was always a "OMG id only buy a volcano" type of guy. After doing some actual research, instead of the Volcano, I settled on the Purple Days. I placed my order recently and I think I will be quite happy with it.

Fits with my home office, and won't get the same WTF glances as if I had a voclano sitting on my desk.

I HATE to type, LOL so you may not hear much from me AFTER this. So, you're getting it ALL now...heehee
But, I'll be around!

I've learned sooo much here, I felt like I had to join-up JUST to say THANK you ALL, for your honest information & reviews!

I'm a child of the 60's & I LIVED "That 70's show"! LMAO
I've been married 30+yrs to my BEST buddy & Have 4 kids & 6 G'babies!

Until the last few years it was about "Recreation"! & almost exclusivly via a lil glass water bong. And since I'm really not into drinking was my chosen "Fun"!

Until recently, when I got injured...then sick enough to stop working. And it evolved into meds! I HATED that I "SMOKED" so often. Then heard about Vaporizing. But I'd never had the opportunity to try one.
So...I started researching w/specific ideas in mind. High Quality...Heath, Safety & Stealth. AND, "Made in USA" is important to me too! All in a model that would be ideal for me to mainly use alone.

First place I looked was "HighTimes" reviews of Vaporizers and was amazed @ the "Cons" of what THEY called the TOP Vaporizers!
Next came the web search & ultimately you all & DH buying me my FIRST vaporizer. Leading to my 1st USE EVER...
a PurpleDays, which I received right before leaving on a cross country motorcycle trip (which was a Great TEST of it's "Stealth" like qualities) And, lead to a friend purchasing one also. After trying out mine!

I cannot say enough about this experience! It involved a GREAT learning curve. for me, all alone...But WELL worth working through it.

Tom & Pam are wonderful for making & offering such a Superior, Trustworthy product @ SUCH an affordable cost.
I HOPE to get up w/them again soon to get a short stem & try to adapt my water bong as I've seen others do. (mine is so short the long stems are too much! LOL)

I think what has amazed me MOST about vaporizing is that after a VERY short time! I CANNOT combust any more! It's just HORRIBLE!

So, while visiting, my friend ordered off Ebay, what we TRULY thought were Ubies (*MORE on this to come), to try!
She bought them & sent me mine.
I was immediatly struck by poor quality & found out instantly that the two parts did NOT fit together at all, rendering it useless!

So, I contacted the "MANUFACTURER" of the *REAL Ubies, Tim. at AmericanSmokeless.com, Who was MORE than kind & said he was sorry. & couldn't understand how it was possible. BUT, that he'd send me another right away! But I'm JADED & Skeptical...You know?

So...the disappointment led me BACK here...looking for something portable! And keeping up the same standards I looked for in my electric. WITH the understanding & acceptance of the drawbacks of Flame ignition, I wanted this to be SUPER portable (so virtually unbreakable) & SUPER Stealthy! (And again "Made in USA" is important to me)

SO...as we speak, Hubby is ordering for me a VapoGenie "Coil"! Using the GREAT discount offered here by Randy at PuffItUp.com.
I THINK it will be EXACTLY what I want! (My Birthday is OCTOBER 9th, so he's being VERY generous by buying me BOTH the Purple Days AND the Genie for me! Though I KNOW it's mainly that he's THRILLED i no longer even WANT to smoke!) I'm VERY excited and Cannot WAIT to receive it!

Now about that FAKE Ubie I recieved! YES it was/is FAKE. JUST today I received the replacement from Tim at AmericanSmokeless. And IT is a WELL made of BEAUTIFUL piece in which the parts fit to perfection! A COMPLETELY different thing!

I THINK (I say think...because this has ALL just developed today! I contacted Tim to inform HIM someone is selling CRAP under HIS product name. AND my friend who has the info as to from whom she purchased them on Ebay. And, I am waiting to hear more back from them. I will let you know if More develops!) the CLUE is that rubber tip. The REAL one has NO need for that tip!~ BUYER BEWARE!!

So, again I KNOW I gave you allot here in ONE introduction. But I REALLY do wanna THANK YOU all for the info offered here. And Be SURE you are aware of the service you provide above & beyond the "Party"!

I'm mainly a lurker on forums but like to say hello first.

Never was really into weed because (despite having been a tobacco smoker for short periods in the past) I've always found that smoking weed with tobacco makes me feel rotten. Spurred on by a few positive memories of no-tobacco weed experiences many years ago, I bought an iolite portable about 10 months ago, after checking out the writeups here and in other places. That was my first experience with vapourisation, and I'm a total convert. I'll definitely never smoke anything again.

It works well for me on quite a number of levels. I find I spend more time listening to music, reading and also consume less alcohol. I'm a little more focussed at work, mainly because I no longer let petty random crap bother me. Also, and this is quite bizarre (I'm not claiming it's related to vapourising) - my lifelong allergies to various pollens and other things appear to have vanished. My 'allergic season' used to last from March (early tree pollens) to the end of November (leaf mould) and made things pretty miserable. The only thing that's really changed is that I've started getting caned on a regular basis, in a healthy way. Probably a coincidence, but a good one anyway.

Keen to get a non-portable vapouriser at some point, mainly in order to experiment with adjustable temperatures - the iolite's amazing, but having tried an extreme-q it's obvious there can be other dimensions to it all.

Big buzz has been offering the iolite to ex-tobacco smoking, weed-sceptic friends. Seem to know a lot of those. They tend to try it out of nothing but curiosity and wind up loving it. We've had a few potentially painful social situations totally defused and turned around by the iolite. All hail the iolite.

- well FC is right im new to vaping but a life time smoker (so far!) My asthma was ruining my smoking experience to the point where i didnt want to smoke at all!! While at the mall with my girlfirend(non-smoker square- likes the alcohol - 1 drug for another right!) she stopped at a small both in the middle of the mall selling E-Ciggs- i was not interested but she insisted so i caved. BEST PURCHASE EVER not only have i gone from a pack a day(10 us $$) down to 2-3 bucks a day of healthier vap compared to an analog cig GREAT. With such a great experience with my transfer to E-Cigg i thought i might as well transform my entire intake delivery system. My bank account has been on a steady decline ahaha but my lungs and a general feeling of wellbeing has followed. I no longer smoke anything!! i have given up combustion all together!!(for now i hope) I have a couple units now and im only a month deep! I Have been killing these forums reading posts and following threads. I figured it was time to pop in SAY HEY and get posting!!

I was referred by a member (not sure what his tag is on this site) who suggested this would be a good source of information in my search for a new vape. The sheer amount of info and reviews Ive found here alone is awesome! It's like a one stop shop for reviews and model info.

Short history:

I can be a fairly compulsive buyer. And one day at my local head shop I saw a vape (VapirOne) and, since I had heard good things about vaping, figured why not? So I get it home and after awhile I find out that it's really a low end vape that I probably over paid for. I could never quite get it to work, it had a horrible plastic taste, and I just felt like I was wasting my herb and had wasted my money.

After a few years go by I broke my bowl and had to run down to the same local head shop to get another. While I was there I saw a vape that I had been researching (the iolite), and bought it on the spot. They even threw in the bowl I was looking at for $5 extra. Not a bad trip, if a little more expensive than I had expected.

I love my iolite, but I'm looking for something strictly for home use now. Plus, it's pretty easy to break the mouth piece on the iolite (I've heard something recently about softer plastic so it will give before breaking). And with as much as I would live to vape, I don't like the idea of being able to run out of butane if I'm not paying attention. It's only happened once, but damn was it disappointing.

I'll be lurking for awhile trying to find the right fit for me. After that I'm sure I'll stick around.

Anyway, take it easy...

Throwing the towel in on booze was one of the best decisions of my life (its been a bit over 2 years now!). I used to think it was the herb that made me lazy.....oh no! It was def the booze.

It still amazes me everyday that our gov't still allows alcohol to be legal and not herb. Fucking idiots.

Thanks JD. Towards my end, I was completely sick of the American alcohol culture and all of it's trappings.

I do believe cannabis will be legal eventually (when we get a younger crowd running the country). We need intelligent users of cannabis to be vocal and participate with legitimate organizations such as NORML. Go HB2306!

Anheuser-Busch, Altria, Pfizer, Miller-Coors, and many other companies in the mind altering business will eventually have to embrace or make room for cannabis legalization.

Use of cannabis by responsible adults is a civil liberty!

Hi there FC

A little about me.

About three years ago I purchased a Hot Box and would vape on and off, but still smoked mostly. I did like the Hot Box, however I moved and had to leave it at home.

So I moved from the Midwest to Vancouver, BC. Well the herb there happens to be some of the finest I've had the opportunity to enjoy. I went to school there and literally across the street from me was the Vapor Lounge, this is nice little place where you can go and pay five bucks to sit down with a Volcano for an hour. I was there on the regular when living in Van.

After that I moved back home for a few months to get things in order to head back out to the west, only this time I landed in California. There herb out here is up to par with the green in BC and I have recently once again started vaporizing. This time more frequently then when I only had my Hot Box. Now I've got myself a Solo as my portable unit and digging on the Natural Goods as my desktop one.

I'll be around a lot and looking forward to chatting with all of you kick ass folks here on Fuck Combustion.

Hey Stu

The Natty Goods is a whip style vaporizer that sports a fan with a dial that controller the speed. I really like the whip that comes with it. Instead of it being a female piece that goes over a male heating element, the Natural Goods whip is the male piece that slides into a glass female heater cover. I have heard that it is kind of cheap glass though and that they break rather easily, but we shall see. I do suggest looking into it, I am a fan of this one indeed.

Yo dude I've tried an iolite once that I wasn't very impressed with, used a Vapolution and really liked the all glass setup, vaped with an NO2 and enjoyed that one, but noticed the plastic taste in comparison to the Solo. I also tried to use a vape-or-smoke and had minor success after about three tries, not really my thing. I have used a Vapor Genie on multiple occasions and not the biggest fan of flame power vapes.

Oh I'm catching that addition man! Already looking at getting a Life Saber sometime soon, so I can do some vaporizing through water. I do like myself a nice bong!

You can get the water pipe adapter for your mflb and do vapor rips though your bong still! the power adapter is also totally worth it if you dont have one

Vaped for the 1st time about 7 weeks with my new MFLB, and I am a total convert! Loving the freedom in my lungs, lowered consumption and left overs!

Currently making my 2nd firecracker - last night's was a bit light on so time to up the dose!
