So, my buddy had a few vaporizers, the Extreme Q and the Solo. At first I wasn't too enthused with the idea of vaping, because he was using bags on the EQ. I was a heavy smoker and had been for near 15 years. So the bags were just not cuttin' it for me. A few days later, we were chillin' again, and he was showing me all the accessories to the EQ. I was like dude, use the whip! Rofl, I'd never seen a vaporizer IRL at that time, but I instantly realized that the whip would be most like smoking it.

It was an excellent idea because we were ripping huge clouds with the whip. It was nice, but I just couldn't handle the vape. It coughed up a lung each time I hit it. So much coughing that I'd get a major headache. This was no fun. I couldn't really get too blazed from it because I couldn't stand to hit it because of the coughing. Anyhow, I vaped anyways and got the headache high we all hate.

Fast forward a bit, and me and the same buddy are cruising and using the Solo.

I hated IT too. The restricted draw was WHACK! and I just couldn't get a hit. Since i was still smoking all the time, I equated the resisted draw with something like the tightness of a blunt or joint, or a bowl that was packed too tightly. In those situations, you wanna draw on it very hard to get the air flowing and get that cherry glowing. However, with the Solo, my buddy told me to only draw as hard as the stem will allow. Following this instruction, I hit it easily, and took a very long, exaggerated, draw, and MAGIC! I coughed out a huge cloud of deliciousness. Then... more coughing.

During our vaping sessions, he would brag about conserving his herb because he uses the Solo so often. .1-.2g will deliver an almost innumerable amount of hits, and leave you blitzed. So eventually, I felt like, I should be getting more from my herb. Plus, it's way less stinky to vape, so its way more stealthy. I decided that I too wanted to be an ever conserving vaporist.

After a lot of pondering, and tons of research (watching review vids on youtube, and bouncing around FC and GC forums), I decided to get the Arizer Solo. It's dope... pun intended. :D I was very happy with my purchase, but I was still upset because each rip would leave me hacking my lungs up. --Did I mention I smoke near 2 packs of cowboy killers each day? Yeah, well I was-- My buddy who introduced me to vaping (he's a non-cig-smoker), rarely coughed from it. I'd cough like a noob each hit!

So I broke out my old trusty Riva e-cig. Went to a few different e-cig websites, got some new 510 atty's and some highly-raved-about e-liquid (NiteLiteVapors' Fruit3), and wow, NO MORE coughing. It was almost instant. After 1 day of substituting my disgusting cigarette habit with the Riva, there was a considerable difference.

Now, I've been almost completely smoke free (cigs and herbs) for the longest time of my adult life, and I couldn't be happier! I love my Solo! But, I have to say, if it weren't for dropping the cigs, I probably wouldn't have been able to keep vaping. So now I vape my cigs and my meds. The Arizer Solo is a great machine. There's nothing bad at all to say about it. I'm super happy that I bought this instead of the MFLB. However, I DO have to charge it up all the time. It's not a bad thing, since it IS a portable unit, but I need a wall-unit.

Once, again, I've been researching vaporizers, and I've come down to a couple options. I want either the SSV, the LSV, or the EQ. I have read so many different reviews and comparisons, and I just want someone to be straight with me on this. I don't have a glass water piece/pipe so that would not be a determining factor for me. Also, neither is conserving. Lol. I know that it sounds a bit contradictory to the reason I bought a vaporizer to begin with, but I won't lie, I'm a glutton!

Sorry this is such a long post, especially for a first post. That's just me, I like to talk! :D

If you can afford it get a MiniVAP or VXL Cloud ... Just my 2 cents.

I'm an ex smoker and bowl smoker and I've now owned >20 vaporizers in a little over 2 years and those really are the 2 best units out there right now (based on what you are telling me) and the fact that you are going to want nice big flavourful hits from the sound of it.

Each unit has its strengths but they're both amazing units

I use my ssv daily through water and I love it. Once you get a water tool to use your vape with, if your like many others here it will be your preferred method of vaping. I use mine at the house 95% of the time when I vape. It gives those dense hits that ex-smokers usually like and it helps ease any irritation. LSV, Underdog, Cloud, and MiniVap, are all great performers among many others. You probably don't want an EQ if you didn't like a bag though and would prefer a dedicated unit.

You cant go wrong with any of the vapes you listed, but I would go with the SSV>LSV>EQ

+1 for the Cloud, it is definately worth reading about

And since you have a Solo, I just bought an attachment for my Solo that allows for me to use it with my tabletop bubbler.
It is AMAZING!

I haven't been living under a rock, lol, of course I've heard of the VapeXHale Cloud. But, IMO, it's priced way too high. I just can't justify spending that much loot on it.

At first I wanted the LSV because it's very similar in shape to the Solo, except on a much bigger scale. It looks awesome. I was like, if I could get the 9v adapter, then I wouldn't have to charge it, but I could use it while it was plugged into the wall. I thought to myself, that's essentially like a baby LSV. So then I was like, dang, I want an LSV. Then I saw the internals, and I fapped to the design, until I realized that you have to lay that mofo down in between hits. I only vape in my room, so I'm limited as to where I can lay the LSV. Most folks lay it in their bag I guess, and I just don't want my dog sniffin it and getting burnt, or my son seeing it and burning himself. If I get a stationary unit I can keep it on my dresser. I was originally thinking about just getting the Da Buddha, for price, but that SSV is freakin sweet.

EDIT

And the fact that the HC of the Da Buddha is wide open and I hear negative reviews of it for that.

The SSV is at the top of my price range, and that's the main reason I haven't bought it yet.

So, if I get the SSV, which HC should I get? The standard glass, or the Rounded Ground Glass?

I have the ground glass and it works fine, although with the standard you can use the mini wand by vapor bros, I hear it is great for water. Also, you can buy the kits to change the covers from 7th floor if you want to change it up.

I prefer standard for maximum control over the airflow in the wand, everyone has their preference though so ymmv. My ssv gets left on ready to vape for 18hrs a day on the weekend with a water tool it can make medicating really, really, fast if you so desire. I got kids runnin around myself and don't always have a lot time to medicate.

yeah, that's a big thing for me as well, I just wanna get blasted real quick, and don't always have 12 minutes to dedicate to one Solo cycle. I found one on ebay sold through the 7thfloor manufacturer's ebay account. It says that all the items will contain a dent, or a chip, or some sort of blemish. But, it's only $180. I think i'm gonna do it! Would you guys? Would the fact that the dent, or chip, or blemish could be ANYWHERE on it, deter you? Also, the base color will be random. Lol, I'm going for a green one SSV, but I don't want it to show up with a pink base! Rofl, I guess purple would be ok, but def not pink lol.

wow that's even better if you still get 3 year warranty! I only got 90 days and a broken heater cover. It was a pain to return through seller, so I had to purchase a couple new ones from 7th floor and vapornation.

Ha ha I said same thing b/c it was like roulette not knowing which color! I said I better not get pink too! Ha got purple with silver base and I'm not big on purple but this thing is sweet looking! Got lucky...

Plus the green and blue knob match my water pipe perfectly!

 mines silver with a purple base too. You can paint it easily enough though, so you can get artistic with it if you are so inclined/talented or just give it a new look. I have been meaning to paint mine for a while check out if your interested search for posts by member:BoldtVapor (iirc) for more info/discussion on the topic in the ssv thread

I would go with LSV or DBV over the SSV unless you do find it really cheap. You will probably end up wanting to vape through a waterpipe so I would recommend an LSV, you can attach to bong or use it's included glass wand or even get some whip tubing if you like that. And you can just sit it on a desk or table between hits, it won't be any more a problem or danger than an SSV or DBV.

Well if you just want to get blasted real fast you should look into oil rigs or vapes. It takes me less than 20 seconds to get blasted with my oil vape. Assuming you can buy or make concentrates to use with them.

Otherwise try some of the heavy hitting vapes brought up in this thread. You can't go wrong with a ssv, lsv, or dbv.

Many here describe the LSV as just a more user friendly SSV. It makes the sessions a little more enjoyable not having to work with the SSV's wand/tubing setup.

True but one thing i love about my ssv is that i can leave it on all day long like a log vape. I understand many people aren't in the hurry i find my self in sometimes, but when you medicate several times a day, 7 days a week, 365 a yr. Sometimes that 3+ minute warm up, when i got a bunch of other stuff going on is 3 minutes too long

$180 is a pretty good price for a new ssv. Blemished units have been selling on ebay for quite a while. I believe there are blemished dbvs too. Apparently the blemishes are not very noticeable and do not affect performance. How long is the warranty?

The warranty is still the same 3 year or whatever they say. But, the reason I am not gonna get the LSV, is because I have ONE place to vape at home, and it's in my Room. I don't really like the idea of laying the LSV down. And I'd rather just hold the whip, than the entire unit. I have the Solo, and the battery gets pretty warm after 2 straight sessions. I've read how the LSV will get pretty warm to the touch as well. I'd rather just have the SSV where it can just sit stationary on my dresser. I'm not feelin the DB because of the open HC. Plus, I can get the clip for the glass, and it becomes hands free! I'll probably get the blemished one. But, after a little consideration, I'll probably select the Silver one because, after all, it's the SILVER Surfer Vaporizer. :D.

Oh yeah, I cannot get Oils or waxes around here, unless I make them myself. And, I don't ever have the loot to spend on a bunch of herb to extract, and I don't have any trim. Fortunately, I can get some super stanky stank, so it's all good. All dro.

Ok! I just ordered the LSV! I just thought about it for a long time, and window shopped their websites for long enough. I made my final decision to purchase the LSV over the SSV, and it was a tough one. The main reason was because of the price. I had looked around online and on eBay, and had found a couple blemished SSVs for sale through the manufacturer's eBay account. The price would be almost exactly $190, not including shipping. Also, besides the fact that it contains a minor blemish, the unit would also be shipped with a randomly colored base. The eBay deal, also didn't include the bag for the unit, so I just basically decided against it. I figured, for virtually the same price, I can get a Brand New (non-blemished) LSV, that comes with all of the accessories, and was personalized to my color preference (for a few dollars more). In all, my total came out to $219 for the beautiful LSV with a custom glass knob and paint job. I chose red and black for the colors of my LSV. Red bottom, black base, red heater cover-cover, and black cap. I'm super stoked. Thanks for helping make this decision easier. I know I'll end up getting a water piece eventually, so that's another reason for the LSV over the SSV! Will post pics and maybe even a video once I get my hands on it!

It really WAS the hard part. I've been planning on buying it, and had the money to, but I've just been reluctant. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my chest. Do you guys think when you turn the temp up too high at first, then end up vaping it at a high temp, think that the herb ends up tasting like Spinach? It's like you can scorch the herb with the vape, and when you do it tastes like straight spinach. I hate that. But when I start low temp and step it up every few, then I don't have any of the nastiness. That's my experience with the Solo, anyway.
