G'day from the east coast of Oz. Been browsing here for a number of years, and am very appreciative of the thousands of imformative and entertaining posts to be found on FC. Love the honest enthusiasm for vaping, and the ingenuity of the products.
Have been enjoying an EQ for 6 months, having learnt how to use it on FC .
So thanks to all and -
For those about to vape...........

nononoIdon'tsmokeitnomore,
Hey y'all!
I figured after many months of lurking every day I may as well finally register.

I'm Vince from Manitoba, Canada... A long time toker, somewhat new to vaping. I decided that after years of combustion that I should give my lungs (and sinus) a break. In the past year I've acquired an Extreme Q and MFLB, now I'm just lacking a method for vaping concentrates besides sandwiching my bho in abv out of the EQ. I'm leaning towards the Eclipse H20 unless someone can suggest something better.

So yeah, just wanted to thank you all for the fountain of knowledge that is FC!

welcome to the forum vince, im sure you will enjoy your stay at this fine community.

if you don't care how pretty your screen looks, you can designate one of the back corners as the "oil corner" :D

it vapes concentrates insanely well, i just plop a dab on my "launchpad" and vape away. as long as you're not dropping monstrous dabs on there, its quite easy to keep all of the melty goodness within the intial residue stains. since the small clogged area is at the back corner of the screen, draw performance is not significantly affected when vaping buds, i can't notice a difference, and OMG is the taste incredible, plus if you have a glass stem you can reclaim from it, and boy does it res up quickly!

of course now my positive experiences sound like encouragement to try this out, that is completely up to you, many people wish to keep their boxes pristine. i just love oil :p be warned that it will clog a small area of your screen, though cleaning with ISO helps reduce this.

Hey guys, just joined fc, have already gotten great info.
I'm a long time cannabis enthusiast (going on 44 yrs) of nearly daily use.
The reason I'm here at fc is because I've never vaped but have an extreme Q along w/grinder and pollen press on it's way in the mail. I've never used a grinder either (except back in the bad old coke days).
What should I expect? What's the best way to take a hit? Which is easier or more satisfying bag or whip?
The grinder coming has two screens, any suggestions for putting it to best use. Pollen press advice would also be greatly appreciated.
I probably have as much experience as anyone at combusting but am a complete newbie when it comes to vaping.
Please help

geech420,
I am also a recent MFLB purchaser (2 weeks tomorrow) from the Vancouver area. Love the MFLB - weed lasts me at least twice as long (not even including future use of vaped bud for baking), while getting me higher.

It's super stealth as well. I've been able to vape in many places where people just won't be able to smell the small amount of smell it produces. Lack of odour on clothes/hands is awesome too.

My plan is to run an ounce through the MFLB (which should take 6 weeks at my current rate - 0.67g/day, or roughly 3-4 trenches per day) then bake the ABV into 24 cupcakes, 1 being a light dose, 2 being heavier dose. I love the concept that vaporizing gets everything out of weed, because you can bake with the remains and get potent stuff too (I've even re-vaped ABV to good effects). If I could get to a half ounce per month in terms of weed consumed that would be amazing, because I've blazed through half an ounce in like 8 days before smoking.

You're already here.... and you have introduced yourself. You are articulate, and you are interested. That is all the help anyone really needs.
You now have vape buddies to relate to and you can read about the vapes that interest you...
Buckle your seatbelt.. and keep your arms inside.

The guys here are not Idle weed users... they are mostly Hard core Vaporists. As such many tend to be "elitist" and think our favorites are obviously the best. We will get defensive when our vape is spoken u=of unfavorably.... and worse.....
We will speak in such glowing terms of or choice vapes that the world would think that any hit taken from our vape is a magic cloud forming mind melter.
It aint so. :2c:
You can get just as high using any vape that you fully master.. and don't let other pastures look greener (vape envy)
You have your work cut out for you now.. so get crackin"!

Just breathe in and relax. I think it is a lot easier than most people make out the learning curve to be, but that may just be me. The EQ thread will no doubt help you with everything you need to know about it and more. Just drop by there and you'll be a pro using your vape in no time.

Welcome! like Vitolo said, you have come to the right place!

I don't have that vape, but I have used it before.

What's the best way to take a hit? Which is easier or more satisfying bag or whip?

I would say that the bag is technically easier. it takes the guess work out of figuring out draw speed. (this method is ideal for people who have never vaporized before.)

Using a whip is more tasty imo. you also get stronger thicker rips! Also with the whip you can water filter your vapor though a bong. You will quickly find out what the best speed for you is. Too fast, and it will run too cold, and you will not get a satisfying hit. too slow and it will light on FIRE! It's not a huge deal though. you will find your Goldie locks zone that give you what you are looking for. keep a beverage on hand too as vapor is dry.

i have never been to keen on pollen presses. I like my crystal as it is. i keep it in a canister and use a scoopula to sprinkle it on things :)

as for the screens, it is coming with 2 different sizes that are interchangeable? that really cool, and I have never heard of it. but if they are different sizes the tighter mesh (the higher numbered one) will let less plant matter though and will result in a more pure collection.

I use a 2 piece grinder because i am of the opinion i want my crystals on my herb as i'm using it! but you can totally save this up and give yourself a really nice treat later on!

beware of the addition that is owning a vape, it will slowly and steadily tell you you need more vapes! i will sue myself as an example. I told myself you have the volcano. "the best" and you never need another one. well, looks at me now. the volcano is lent out to a friend and i use it w/e i go over there. but all my others are with me at home. :D

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm getting the hang of it.

BTW Weedemon the grinder is from Kelly's Great Products on eBay with fine and super fine mesh screens that are interchangeable

Well put as always, Vito. ;);)

And Kelly's Great Products is a real good online resource. I've purchased several grinders from her.

Hi everybody,

I just registered today, but I went often to read the forum before, when I wanted some infos on a new device.
There's a long time I've not speak or wrote in english, so I hope you will understand me
I'm 38 year old, I smoked a lot of weed & tobacco during a long long time.... But now, I use to vaporize only weed since 2004  This year 2004, I finally bought a Volcano after some months passed to dream of it.
This is a good Vaporizer, always working and making the job, but I am looking to another for my house, who makes less nose and give more tasty flavor (I look on an Aromed, Oracle, ...), not an emergency, I just look what there's on the market.
I am searching for a good portable vapo for me, and I will certainly try the MFLB soon. I had a Iolite for a year, but I was'nt happy with this.
Got some work, a lot to read on the MFLB :D

phineas, the MFLB paired with the PA is an excellent choice to add to one's collection. it is both an extremely efficient stealth portable, and a desktop vape that holds its own against much larger vapes. also, it produces some of the tastiest vapor i have ever had the pleasure of inhaling!

Hi,

I've been on these forums and a few others but thought I'll post something in here.

I think FC is the most sensible forum I've encountered and as repeated often; is an encyclopaedia of vape related information. There are so many helpful, passionate and intelligent people on these forums and I really enjoy being enlightened by their posts . I also purchased a few things from the advice of the certain FCers (you know who you are - thank you).

Currently I am a law and business graduate; hopefully in two months time I will be a fully qualified solicitor. I don't intend to be a lawyer all my life but was attracted to the profession for its challenging nature and the career possibilities that it may open up.

I came to using cannabis as painkiller because of a motor vehicle accident 1.5 years ago. After being struck by a semi trailer going at 60km/h in a tunnel I was lucky to have escaped alive but the accident did leave me with chronic back pain.

Cannabis was first introduced to me when I was travelling in Laos. After smoking from a joint I found out that I was able to sit comfortably without feeling the need to squirm in pain for the first time in 10 months. I then came back and did a bit of research and found that the pain killers that I was taking wasn't exactly the best for me so I began using cannabis for pain relief and to aid extended periods of work requiring focus.

Ben, I broke my foot in two places two years ago and the only thing that helped me was vaping cannabis. It's insane that this is illegal in most of the country still. Possibly you can utilize your law degree toward liberating our favorite benign natural remedy.

Thank you for your warm welcoming, Jeff. I've only used an errl glass bubb with nails and a globe and a glass bubb with a birdhouse dome. Back in the day.... and I still have it too ;o}~..... I use to use this vaporizer which looked like a lightbulb and in the middle was a metal plate... plug it in and the plate heats up. It's super old school =) I want to learn everything to enhance my creativity ;o}~ lol I hear this is the best site to learn about vaping and combusting =) So that's why I'm here....

Thank's Stroh ;)

That's done, the MFLB is in my hand :D
So small and discreet, ready to use in 3 seconds, it pleases me this box!
But I must learn to control it ... The 1st trials have shown that it is not so easy compared to my Volcano ... Despite having well-mixed box between the aspirations, at the end, the mixture was not homogeneous: small parts were still green, others brown as the Volcano, but some were black... Traces of burning, I will draw earlier and harder, I must find the right rhythm to get the good taste of vapor as the first baloonl of the volcano.
And I also expect the Arizer Solo for the next days :D This is Christmas in summer

:peace:
