Good to know. I thought Dan told someone on FC, perhaps ugobo, that he left the company.

You are correct about that, its probably a couple pages back. I thought the exact same thing until he replied to my support ticket. Even then i was a little skeptical because someone else emailed him a couple months ago and the owner replied through dans email saying he was no longer with the company.

However in the emails Dan said hes been with the company since april of last year and he sounds the same on the phone. I didnt want to get into it with him about leaving/coming back though so i dont have a definative answer

I'm beginning to feel a bit privileged to have a vape which has actually been made in the Twilight Zone.

Hi ..............,

I'm not Dan but another customer service agent answering support@vaporfection.com emails that come to Dan email address, until IT transfers it. Dan is no longer with VSI, and from his unethical and misleading statements I can see why. Vaporfection is moving forward with plans for significant expansion.

When I returned the defective unit, I followed Dan's instructions and sent it to VSI, LLC
1200 N. Federal Hwy. #200, which is VSI's office address. The unit was undeliverable. VSI later replied to me, on Feb. 15:

Our offices are still at 1200 N Federal Highway Suite, 200, however that is not our service center, see service return instructions below. Volume boxed deliveries are not allowed at our office complex and our landlord began rejecting boxed returns, before we got to a few of our customers to advise them to send their returns accordingly to the service and repair location.

VAPORFECTION RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
To return your defective or damaged unit please do the following:
1. Visit http://vaporfection.com/activate and register your unit if you have not already done so.
2. Package the unit only in bubble wrap and a box and make sure it is secured properly and clean of any herbal residue. Do not send the power cord or any accessories.
3. Ship the unit only to:
Vaporfection
590 NE 7th Avenue, Unit 101 South
Boca Raton, FL 33487
4. Put a note in the box with your name, contact information, unit serial number and explain what is wrong with the unit.
5. On the outside of the box please write “RMA#(your serial number)”

I did receive a replacement viVape, which I haven't been able to try yet. I also inquired about the miVape production updates, but the question was not addressed when they replied.

Mud: I hope you'll have a working viVape again soon.

Nice that he's airing the company's dirty laundry in public.

The quote I saw that (reportedly) came from Dan, said something to the effect that he couldn't continue working for Vaporfection in good conscience. It's all 'he said, she said' stuff. We don't know the real story and it's a waste of time to speculate.

Personally I wouldn't be comfortable buying from this company, due to their history and current (or at least recent) iffy financial status. But the viVape is a good product and if you're not worried about warranty coverage down the road, should the worst happen, it's a vape worth consideration.

Yeah i have nonclue whats going on I remember seeing all of this, which is why when dan replied to my issue and told me to send it to 1200 address i calld back and questioned it. Its was definetly the Dan i spoke to over the summer. Hes been in contact with me the entire time, called me when my broken unit arrived at the 1200 N federal hwy address and emailed me again to let me know that they couldnt get it back out on friday in time so to let him know what accesories i wanted and he would include them for the inconvenience and i should have it back on tuesday. We will see

So Dan's back working for Vaporfection?

Yeah its the same. I was still a little skeptical about him responding to my emails, and with the whole address situation but he called and reassured me. Sounds exaclty the same as when i spoke to him over the summer. And when i talked to him i mentioned the problems Ihad with the 24hr warranty last time and he said he joined the company in April so he wasnt there which matches up. I didnt get into it with him about the leaving thing but I dont know if he actually ever left...i think a bitter ex employee may have hacked their accounts or something. im totally speculating by the way, Too bad he cant explain this for himself

I'm positive that Dan left Vaporfection at one time. It is possible that he's now back.

I will have a proof soon because i will go ahead and ask Dan "for a second time" to send me tubings and ballons instead of the mail rebate. He gladly did it with my first vV when i asked him. Then "declined" my request to my surprise last january. If Dan is back with Vaporfection then i have no doubts that he will get back to me with a positive reply this time. We'll see...

If by last january you mean Jan 2012 then your time line is a little off because he did not join vaporfection until April 2012. Which is consistent because when i had problems in Jan/feb 2012 i dealt with Amir. If you mean jan 2013 than nevermind

I'm not looking to spark conflicts or disagreements with Vaporfection, despite all that's happened -- shilling included. Like I've stated before: I wish Dan (in all possible manifestations) the best, and I hope VSI will prosper. It would have been nice to have been among the privileged few (?) to receive the advice to take my money and run, rather than the opposite, but I don't really care. The money I put down for the miVape will likely stay where they are, since I used a debit card, and who knows, maybe the vape will materialize one day. I kind of want it more now than before -- it's almost like a collector's item. It's like the Hunt for the Lost Vape, with all kinds of bizarre twists and turns. In an plot twist I finally make it across the Atlantic in a small Zeppelin; I then storm into the VSI service center in Boca Raton, FL, where a conclave of men in white coats and strange goggles are preoccupied with some kind of electric amphibian, and they all turn to me and put down their blow torches and say: "What are you doing here, Dan?"

While i was out to lunch I got another voicemail from DAN, my vivape is repaired and shipped out overnight today. I also received ups confirmation email with tracking. For not gettingit out on friday he said he included a new wand, hose, mouthpiece and some extra screens!

If i do receive it tomorrow then My faith in the company is fully restored!

Vivape has just arrived. Theres a nice little note from Dan, i was going to take a picture but Thats too much work and id rather just try out my vivape.

Total repair time: they recieved it friday and shipped it out monday overnight, I received it Tuesday morning. So total repair time was more like 36-48 hours (business days) but Dan told me before hand that it might not go out till monday depending on when they received it on Friday. Not only that but he asked what accesories i needed and would include those to make up for the delay. I asked for a new wand and to my surprise there were 2 new wands and two packs of screens in the box!

Overall they really came through. They really have stepped things up since the last time I had an issue over a year ago. Dan was in contact the entire process, responded to my emails right away, i received phone calls when it arrived and when it shipped back out.

What other company could you send your broken unit to and receive it back in a day or 2? Granted i did have the 24 hr warranty and while I did not get it on Monday which would have been 24 hours, the over 50$ worth of accesories definately makes up for that! My faith in vaporfection is fully restored. I have no problem recommending it to anyone.

EDIT: just received another email from Dan about 10 minutes after It was delivered. I thought I would post it just to show how awesome their customer service/Dan is...

"Looks like your package was just delivered. Let me know how it works!

Best,

Dan"

I purchased an Evolutions vaporizer whip (version 7) for use with my ViVape and I find that it really enhances the vaporizers operation overall. It now fills bags much faster and with more oomph.. When hitting straight off the whip you get giant vapor clouds at most temperature settings, moreso than with the original whip.. The tubing is much larger, and the glass tip is a straight through 18MM airway including the screen. This whip is much higher performance than the whip that ships with the unit. The difference is amazing, and you can get more exposed surface areas of herb to vaporize, and no airway restrictions. I found that the glass end that ships with the unit has too small of a screen area for my liking, and this also causes bag filling performance to suffer. Also, with the Evolutions whip, the distance of the herb from the heat source is very similar, so your calibration should not be too far off. Highly recommended.

Also, if you live somewhere where AC power is typically 110, you can buy a step-up transformer and run the unit on 220v. By running it on 220v you will significantly cut the heat up times down. This is probably a little overkill and silly for most but if you are in a situation where you want your ViVape to heat up quick, this will do it.

One last tip - If you turn the temperature up slightly (YMMV) and take some clean gauze and put wax, oil or BHO on the gauze you can vaporize it as well. In fact you can vaporize the resin from the wand this way as well!

Regards,
Bob

Glad to hear this worked out for you, and I am glad that my previous comments to you have been validated. I have been using mine since the repair about 12 hours a day, and so far its taking a licking and keeping on ticking!

I'm curious - did you speak with Dan prior to all this shill posting crap/comments about him leaving, and can you therefore confirm via recent voicemails that it is in fact the same Dan? I'm still skeptical given recent correspondence I've had with them. Not skeptical of you, my friend, but of Vaporfection.

Edit: regardless, that is surely good customer service.

Yeah, I thought I had a problem in August so I filled out the support thing and Dan called me immediatly and introduced himself by first and last name. The voicemail I have from the other day when it shipped the first thing he said was hey this is Dan (same last name) from vaporfection, and he sounded exactly the same.

I tried the viVape for the first time. 0.14 g of herb. Used the GonG setup. 200C. Got one huge hit. Then not very much. I'm toasted. Think it's 3 h later.

This was the actual photo, without filters, but the other one seemed to better convey the Tron experience.

I think I need to experiment a bit to find the optimal technique, but there's no question I was baked after a couple of hits. There was still a bit of green ABV left afterwards, but I did pack the dome screen pretty tightly with finely ground herb, and I didn't stir it, so that could be why. I tried bag and whip mode; I think whip mode probably works better with this setup.

I loved the easy draw. Very different from the Solo. That first huge rip caught me completely off guard. Way bigger than intended. Dense, white vapor. Very nice. I guess most of the vapor was released during that first rip.

I would imagine most of the vapor being released at the temp you use. With water adapters i find whip mode best as well. Also if you have a 14mm piece the bags fight perfectly with a small piece of tubing around it, which is also an amazing exprience.

I would definetly suggest half way through...also definetly try lowering the temp 390 is crazy

Mynameismud,
Well folks, it's official. The viVape 2 arrived in the mail this morning and was sitting on my doorstep when I arrived home. It was in a small ordinary yet elegant box, I grinned and casually proceeded inside. Unboxed it and "Vaporfection" appeared in bold letters with "This Changes Everything" written in white on the bottom, what a clever touch. After opening the box everything is in order. The viVape was slowly uncovered and plugged in. Press power, set 1 hr, whip, and begin grinding herb finely, as recommended in the manual. A crystal covered sativa with a poignant aroma of cat piss and flowers, typically a good sign. I forget to check for the screen and it's already in! Blue light pops up and let the good times roll.

After a single bowl I am faded and ecstatic. Fantastic look, functionality, value, and overall swaggerness. This is amazing and I haven't even tried the bag, this must be incredible at a party.

The fan is a huge bonus in my opinion I love it! It's so simple to pull out when you're finished to not waste herb. It's intuitive and anyone can do it and get massive vapor rips as a novice which is something that usually takes practice for a noob.

My one negative if its even possible is that tiny herbal particles easily passed the screen. An issue that can be easily dealt with so its not even a negative haha!

Cheers
