Greetings. I have been smoking for almost 10 years now using all sorts of spoons, bongs, and blunts. Only recently did I get a chance to try a vaporizer and didn't mind it one bit. I found this forum through ?cd and have, I must admit, impulsively purchased a MFLB after reading so many positive reviews. It is en route as of this post and am very excited to use it! I also purchased a Mendo Mulcher grinder on ebay to replace the old wooden one I've been using for 7 or so years. I hope to find a lot of useful information here to guide me along this new path :)

BookWorm,
hey there everybody! thank you so much for all the great information you have shared. i am a happy housewife and mom who uses cannabis daily. my hubby and i have been enjoying cannabis on and off for the last 20 years or so. we have always used bongs or pipes, and have invested in some really nice glass. we have been in search of healthier/more discreet methods for some time. i have tried cooking, cannabutter, etc, but i still have not mastered it. we bought ourselves an extreme q after reading this site and researching vaporizing. it fit our budget and style. basically, if i am awake, i am baked... our vaporizor just arrived three or four days ago, and already i LOVE LOVE it. it is amazing. i cannot believe we waited so long to make this purchase... thank you all for sharing your experiences, it really helped us dial in quickly on how to vape.

peace be with you all!
:peace:

Hi Rockfish and welcome!! Glad to hear you the the EQ are getting along well :D

Might check out our cooking section. Great things to do with the leftovers!! Some are really easy to do also. I could have a line around the block for my hard candy which is made of leftovers...a very popular treat.

Good luck and stick around ;) Always more to learn!!

Long-time smoker (30 years) and starting hearing about vapes after hearing about the Volcano. Started researching the PD due to stickstones advice in a FAQ thread, as my main goals were efficiency and moving my smoking inside, and shortly after ordered one.

About myself: 46, live in northwest coastal area of BC, in about my fourth career incarnation as I served 3 years in the Canadian Army, paid my way through university to acquire a teaching degree by logging, went back into logging after university for another ten years as the idea of teaching did not interest me, and got into nursing about six years ago.

Use marijuana mainly to compensate for lack of motivation due to depression (which I also take pharmaceuticals for) and it really helps me. Friends say I should look into getting a medical card but as an oz might last me 9-10 months (and with the PD I should reduce that), I find it hard to summon up the interest. Read the entire 267 pages of the PD thread and have looked around the site, so most of my questions have been answered but if I have more I know where to look for them. Best of the holiday season to you and yours...

jurgenk,
thanks, Lo! i am definitely going to keep working on the cooking...i gotta get that down now with the leftovers.

Hi,
I'm a long time lurker, and decided to make the jump over to posting.
I used to be a 24/7 daily combustible user for years and decided to take a 3 year break and when I came back to it, realized I had to switch over to vapor.
I picked up the MFLB as my very first vape and have used it exclusively for 3 months now. It has been the perfect device to get me started, and will continue to be one of my prime devices. Really irreplaceable. I am awaiting my OCDiffuser, coming any day now.
Really like the community that's come together here.
Happy Holidays!

Hello,
First thing sorry for my bad english ill try to do my best.;)
I live in Espaa (Spain), i have 23 and study to be a Denstist some day:D
I started using marihuana cause i liked more than alcohol:ko:
After some time i started having migraine as my mom so one day i decise to try with marihuna and the result was that using marihuana dayly i had migrane less often and when i had it its less strong and i can treet it with mariguana.

As i dont smoke any tobaco i start roling only weed (doing this in spain is very extrage because everyone mix it with tobaco even people that inicialy dont smoke tobaco)
I did not liked the taste and i used to throw half of it each time when there were no friends around.

After i start using glass bongs with lighters untill i met a good friend of mine that show me all world around the bong. (most of it in usa) This friend has now started his own brand of bongs here in spain.

My mind started changing after buying HVY 9mm with perc and using it with KAKKO. The taste was much better and the smoke smoother.
Then i came back to vapes as i had been in touch with them but they had not convinced me much. The best one i tasted was volcano so i bought it but dry vapor was very irritating to my throat so i end up going back to the bong.

Some years past and new vapes came out but the taste of volcano was still better sow i start using it again but using a bubler to pass vapor throw waper. I used this sistem for some time but you need to much space and time to get it done so i came back to HAKKO

Now i dont use volcano any more cause i have an herbolizer xl and VHW so now i only use hakko for hash and my lungs are happy:lol:

Hi all. I've posted a few and lurked a lot. Finally thought it was time to say hi and thanks. I found this site shortly after making the transition to the vape. I bought a bunch of cheap no name models and ended up with a local (Albuquerque) model called a Kia from ebay prior to making your acquaintance. After perusing this site I gave the Kia to a friend and bought an Extreme. A decision I have never regretted. Shortly after that I read about the Vapor Genie..... bought it and loved it too. A week or so ago, I bought the Launch Box.... wow! I'll never leave home without it. What it really comes down too is that since I started reading what you all were saying, I have improved my vapor delivery systems to the point that I am totally happy. I think everyone here deserves a big thanks.... as it is everyone here that makes this the place it is...Tortoise

Just thought I'd add.... I've smoked since I was about 10 (is that about right for the 5th grade?) and it was always for pleasure until just a few years ago. I wrote the following on another thread but thought I'd add it here as I've added another reason as to why I partake. It helps me feel better!

PS> I'm medically malcontent. 5 heart attacks, peripheral neuropathy, degenerative disc decease, arthritis, and the regular self induced malady's caused by riding my R1 170 miles per hour... and crashing occasionally, rodeo's, and working heavy construction 30 years.... it all adds up! Do it all again... you bet!

But all in all......it's still a pleasure. Happy holidays to you all... PS2> I'm now 54

Greetings Sinners. I am the Prophet Brigham Young, and I have been called of god to investigate the spiritual and medicinal value of this cannabis I've been hearing so much about. You may call me Brother Brigham, or BB (if ye be lazy bastards).
God saw fit to vex me with the sore cursing of depression and anxiety (after pulling the rug out from underneath me). Last June I began vaping our common-friend, and have never been happier.
I am a 29yr old analytical person, dedicated husband, and proud poppa to two tikes (apparently, I also aptly apply alliteration).
Lastly, being called by god, I have the proper authority to cast any of you into outter-darkness, or grant salvation in the celestial kingdom. So, watch yourselves...

Later, Bitches!

Hello Everyone,

Just joined though have lurked awhile. I finally bought a vaporizer and have been very pleased by it in the last two months. Doubt if I'll go back to the retching smoke. Just made a comment on the "pot lung" thread since I have had the experience and have some 43 years experience in the game. Bought a Da Buddha and love it.

My interests are guitars, movies (am writing a zombie movie, which will probably never see the light of day. Or maybe it should be a vampire movie considering the light restriction I just place on it), and the observance of the ritual for which purpose we are all here assembled. Have enjoyed and learned from the discussions here. For which I thank you all. And will try to visit the site often. Again thanks for being here.

Slavetothegrinder,
Hi I'm Freddy.

I'm 33 and live in the UK. I've been enjoying cannabis since I was around 18 (before that I didn't enjoy it that much ;))

In the past few years, I discovered vaping, and have never looked back. I use something called a Launch Box from http://magic-flight.com/. It's small and uses rechargeable batteries which makes it highly portable and discrete. I mostly just buy cheap stalks and leaves by the carrier bag, and use a food processor to make a fine powder. It's cheap, healthy and the high is just awesome.

As an aside, I once visited a coffee shop in Amsterdam that purported to be the "Home of the Vaporizer". Well worth a visit if you're ever in that neck of the woods. They had the biggest home made lung system I have ever seen, and of course if you're visiting, you won't be able to resist it, so just be careful and write the name of your hotel on your forehead!

Greetings, fellow vaporists!

My name is Chris, I'm and I am from what Realtors have dubbed the "Platinum Coast" of Florida, although I am attending College 4 hours north of my hometown, away from my beloved beaches :/ lol.
I've inhaled for about 5 years now, and while I have JUST gotten into Vaporization (<10 months ago was my first non-edible experience without combustion), I am certain our relationship will be quite a fruitful one! :D I do not as of right now personally possess a vape (close friends own an Extreme, an Iolite, and an original Volcano) but I am quite certain I will purchase both a MFLB and Eterra-derived system of delivery (ex. Purple Days, Woodeez, Myrtlezap, or OCD), although I am unsure as to which one I shall actually purchase, being as my current financial obligations mean that it will be a month or so before I consummate my decision, and at that time it'll probably be a matter of whomever is offering the best pricing/incentives. I look forward to the many friendly exchanges we will have, as I have been a reader of this forum for almost as long as I have been in the non-combustion game!
Best wishes!

Hey, I'm new. ;) My handle is an acronym for "rule the world or inherit the earth". Inspired by an episode of smallville. I live on the south east coast in a non-mm friendly state. I tried mj for the first time when I was in high school and tripped out worse than you can possibly imagine. I still have an unusually low tolerance during regular use. I ripped about 4 monster bong hits, not knowing how much was enough for me. It was psychedelic, I heard voices :o , had this deja vu that led me to believe I had lived that exact one moment an infinite number of times and would continue to do so. My heart. That thing can beat. I kept blacking out and coming back and blacking out. Then the fine gentlemen stole the mj I had purchased, stole my phone, and my mp3 player(couldn't give that thing away now).

I was in a bit of a transitional period many years later. I wanted to confront my fears; and had been successful. I tried a bit of bud(a lot less) and puked(?) and then I started to really enjoy myself.

I have muscle spasms and nausea that are greatly helped by mj use. I wanted to find a better alternative to smoking. I got a vapir one which I regret. I threw it away. I did some more reading and found that lots of folks were real happy with their vapor bros unit, and I got the hands-free whip. I really like it. I thought I was going to save gobs of herb due to "greater efficiency", but its really about the same. The best part was not waking up the next day and feeling so groggy. It really is easier on my lungs.

Currently my vaporbros has had some trouble. It works fine, but small bits of innards are releasing into the whip.

And my MFLB should arrive tomorrow. :D

I've really enjoyed reading the thoughful posts; I was surprised how much concentrated info is available here.

Yo,
Just wanted to introduce myself. After a lot of snooping around on the web I found this forum and was amazed at the volume of information, not to mention the minute details some of it goes into.
I recently quit smoking cigarettes after having smoked them for 10 years. I'm on my 3rd month now and feel great.
I realized my mary jane smoking habit is just as harmful. Well maybe not AS harmful...but still not good for your lungs. I soon decided it was time to get a vaporizer and after a lot of research settled on the Extreme Q. I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival (should be here Monday) and am sifting though posts upon posts being impatient. Ah well that's all I suppose.
A little about myself...sure why not I'm feeling good.
I'm currently 26 years old living in Southern Florida. I'm a computer technician by trade and a Musician at heart. I have a website of my music but I'm not going to link it in my first post (seems rude for some reason). I've been building computers for 6 years or so, playing music for......well since I was 5 or so. Started on a grand piano my grandmother had, graduated to a little keyboard my parents bough me. It was probably a tyco or something. Eventually in middle school I was introduced to the Alto Sax. I fell in love with it and played it for 10 years or so. I haven't had on in a while now and I sure do miss it, but it's the only instrument I can read sheet music for. I prefer to play from the soul if you know what I mean.
I dabble on the guitar, learned a few chords here and there. The piano is definitely my weapon of choice though.
The Dulcimer...now that is a great little instrument. It's extremely easy to make wonderful sounding music with it. I had an accordion at one time. I've heard a saying Angels play harps, Demons play accordions. I disagree, the accordion can sound beautiful in it's own special way.
The one instrument I never had a chance to play that I sorely wish to is the violin. Perhaps one day I shall.
And there is an electronic instrument revolution happening as we speak! I have endless possibilities sitting on my computer, all controllable via keyboard (piano keyboard not typing keyboard).
The Akai MPK61 is my current midi keyboard and basically you hook it to your computer via USB. It makes no noise by itself, you need to find what are called VSTi's, or Virtual STudio Instruments. One VSTi of note is Spectrasonics Omnisphere which contains a plethora of beautiful sounds to play to your heart's desire.
Alrighty now i'm done.

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking for months and finally joined in November right before I purchased my MFLB.

I'm 43 and I've been toking off and on for about 27 yrs.

I used to work as a nurse but for the past 7 years, I've been a homemaker. I'm married for almost 21 years and I'm mom of a teenager. Hubby is extremely strait-laced and doesn't partake but is totally cool with me doing whatever makes me happy. (Happy wife = Happy life) ;)

I'm very friendly and fun (so I'm told - mainly by me ) . I live near Philly and I'm always up for meeting with/talking to like-minded individuals to socialize and discuss the meaning of life or just bullshit around.

Vaping is amazing. I can vape right in my bedroom and no one knows! No more stinky fingers, no burning my fake nails with lighters cause I'm too :ko:... It's great! In addition to my MFLB , I have a digital box vape which I now know is a chinese p.o.s. :((Don't tell lwien, but I still think it's pretty great! :uhoh: -- or at least I did until I got the power adapter for my LB. :brow:)

That's all I can think of right now. Before I go, someone please tell me how to put the little mflb pic in my sig? TIA. :)

PS I really love emoticons. :D

Right click on the box in my sig, save it, then upload it to a photo sharing site like Photobucket. If you haven't already you will have to register with them. Its free. Once uploaded, click on it and there should be a "share" box somewhere. Click on the "direct link" to the image and it should automatically copy it (it does in photobucket). Go to edit signature, click the "Img" button to bring up the img code, paste the direct link between the 2 img brackets. Enjoy!

While I'm here....

I'm a 28 year old fully functioning stoner from Pittsburgh. 2 words can sum me up.... Vaping and Fishing. I own a 18' Hydrasport Bass Boat that I try to spend a majority of my time on. Over the past few months I have been getting the entire sleeve on my lower left leg tattooed with a tribute to fishing with my dad/grandpa. Other than that I like to spend my time chillin on the couch with my gf and cat. I starting smoking weed and cigs around 14. My quest into vaping started with the electronic cigarette. When I first got my ecig it wasn't to quit smoking, it was just to be able to smoke inside (and i like gadgets). 3 days later I was cig free but still smoking bud. After a couple weeks of not smoking cigs I figured I wasn't doing my lungs any good combusting, I trade a friend an 8th for a vapir one. I abused that for about 6months till I found FC. The rest is history......

VAPOLITICS!
Hye to all the FC community... I've missed the presentation step!

I'm 29 years old, half french-half spanish. Heavy stoner since I'm 13 years old with a very very high tolerance due to a real abuse of combustion (20g of green/week for 15 years!). I discovered vapor this summer (I knew about it, but bought my Cano during a trip to SF).

Now I am such a vapor enthusiast, I am planning to start a vape/E-cig business, here in Paris, to fill the missing gap for vapor activism both in France & in Europe!

I am in the process of choosing which manufacturers we want to work with, and therefore testing the products extensively. I've been an FC reader for almost 2 months and this forum is now THE REFERENCE to understand the vape market, its needs, failures, potentials, limits etc...

Good vaping to all of you!

Well, I am in my early 30s. I used to smoke a lot of herb in my teenage years. A LOT. And it died down little by little until around 23. By then, I was pretty much done with a few exceptions a year. I also did tons of other crazy things, but thats not something I am prepared get into here.

Last spring I picked some herb up, and it lasted me months. I was a pretty casual smoker, but this was the first time I really owned any in years. I didn't re-up after it was gone.

I quit cigarettes and chewing tobacco just before the holidays. I found that it left me drinking a lot more than before. Not wanting to drink at the end of my work days, and not wanting to go back to daily nicotine usage, I picked up some herb again.

I had the pleasure of trying a vape once back in the summer. I don't know what kind they had, but it wasn't that good. Then my girl went to some friends who just got a volcano for Christmas. She fell in love, and I lurked here before buying the Extreme Q.
