Out to lunch
The heaters are in the shop and being tested. Orders will start shipping Monday.
Assuming they get a passing grade, right? I hope you have better luck with your chosen parts supplier than you have to this point.

Thanks for the update, Andy!! Hope tests go well. Guess I better go see "that dude" early in the week so I'm ready with fresh stash when the nano comes in.

But keep in mind some of the issues you've had with obtaining the correct VVPS. I'm not saying one log is better than the other, but I was certainly pleased having a VV log out of the box.

Nothing to do with the HI. That was me, going thru the wrong vendor (the one, no one else used). Soon as I corrected that, I had a VVPS in a week.

I guess I'll wait until I'm allowed to address the manufacturer... as it stands now, I'm not allowed to ask for further explanation and with all due respect, I would rather that answer come from him... no conjecture, by others.

Why? Its brand specific questions, that should be answered in the brand specific thread. I don't have any interest in discussing it privately, if I can't share the the Q&A here.

Please... just drop it. I know I brought it up and responded to your question, but I've explained it now. OK?

I am also getting a little tired of guessing on these things. Seems Andy is cherry-picking which questions he answers and is ignoring others. I would think the mods would be in favor of getting as much information out there as possible but I guess I'd better quit asking before I am not allowed to speak of these things.

mod note: Implying that we are suppressing questions and information not only misrepresents what we do, it's against the rules.

My crack got a litte bigger but it still doesn't bother me too much. I think it's pretty much done cracking. I don't want anyone to think that Andy's work isn't up to par or anything. My situation is just a freak accident. And I'm not angry or disappointed, it gives my vape character and when it becomes a problem I'll be hittin up Andy for some help.

Edit: also like to add my SS hasn't changed color or given off any odor.
Ya know, you could add a really cool hose clamp around the band to match the metal and make it look steampunk-ish ;)

All I'm saying guys, is that if I want a fast response from a manufacturer, I contact them directly. If you wanted information from a television manufacturer, would you post on AVForums or e-mail them?

Not everyone has the time to check the forums multiple times a day. Some manufacturers have jobs outside this industry. FC is not necessarily the primary base of operations for all manufacturers. Some have websites or e-mail addresses that are better methods of contacting them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again

As frustrating as it is, I think some times we take for granted just how open vape manufacturers are with our community. It's easy to get upset or angry when we don't hear back from them immediately, but in some cases it's an unrealistic expecation.

Andy just said he got a batch of new heaters in. I'm sure he's busy right now trying to catch up on back orders. Personally, I don't even want to hear from him until he says he's shipped off the next batch of E-Nanos

Love it. I'll keep it in mind if the same thing ever happens to mine

Oh, please stop! I think the mods here generally err on the side of being a little restrictive. Kudos to them!!! Think that's part of the reason FC is such an awesome place. Go try to read a thread over at GC if you're not sure what I mean. Teenaged stoners going off in so many directions that it makes me wish my ADHD was worse just so I could keep up.

I'm sure Andy will get to such questions soon enough. Let him get those heater cores in and get our nanos out first, though. Think he has enough going on without having to explain over-engineering (if that's what you want to call it). Personally, I love that! I don't drive my car at 120 mph, but am glad to know I can if I want to.

As far as comparisons to the HI.... I've been waiting a bit for my nano (and am damned near giddy knowing it could be here within a week!), but I'd still be 10 months or so out for an HI. For someone wanting to vape sometime this year, that's comparing apples to oranges from a pragmatic perspective.

I do want to hear from Andy since I cannot even use the unit I paid for.. The fact of the matter is, there have been several questions that were simply ignored.. treecityrnd has asked several questions of Andy about specific components and safety. I have asked Andy to confirm why the inside of my nano is now piss-yellow. We have asked the advantages of having so much more power compared to other logs since he brought it up. I could go on....

Uncalled for and quite honestly, none of your business.

As for your car analogy, its a horrible one. Because the claim of 3x the power, is flat out FALSE. In fact, its a LIE. (700 degrees, as Andy claims the edge of the screen gets at FULL-POWER when he's burning in, is NOT 3x the power of ANY vape, nor 3x combustion. 0 - 460 degrees, as he claims on the sales page, is barely combustion and not anywhere CLOSE to 3x).

I'm not out to attack, nor tear this vape down. No, actually I got interested from others talking about it and a friend mentioned it to me.

I was going to just leave it alone.

Congratulations, on opening the can of :worms:

P.S. How much you pay for that HI, you're waiting on?

I will spend some time this weekend addressing all the questions some of you may feel I have ignored. But this one is easy:
3x power is not 3x temperature. It merely means 3 x 5 watts is 15 watts.

So my question is... why do we need 3x the ability/heat to combust? Running 24/7, mine is also ready when I need it.
The larger mass of element creates a larger mass of heat... more heat, not higher heat. The larger element is going to retain more stored energy (heat) and provide more surface area for energy transfer. You’re getting additional heat retention and temperature consistency, more of that exact temperature you are after. I'm sure that it also helps reduce the heat-up and recovery time... is there even a recovery time with this thing?

Materials aside, I believe that solid temperature consistency is the most important thing a vaporizer needs to produce the best quality vapor.

Not really in my experience. Back when I had a GonG I could hit it over and over with no discernible temperature drop.

Speaking of GonGs, I still have not received mine. Ordered February 28, shipped March 1, arrived in Canada March 6. Been stuck in customs since then. Canada Post tracking says 1-3 days from the original March 6 date.

Yikes that's a long time in customs. I hope that doesn't happen to my nano! Both ways! I'm hoping for a solid 2-3 week turnover for repairing the wood, but who knows. Missing my nano, but I know I'll be getting pure quality when she gets back!

Has anyone ordered their E-Nano with one of the laser etched images he is offering?

If anyone does it be cool to see a pic of it.

Dr. Plutonious,
I wouldn't worry, my actual E-Nano package came to me in less time.

Congratulations, on opening the can of :worms:

Hope I'm not stirring the pot or pulling any more worms out of the proverbial can. Saw the mod note, but just reviewed the rules I'm already familiar with and don't think I'm in violation in post above or here.

Not sure why all of the harsh stuff on this one BDV. I've always enjoyed your posts and videos and continue to think of you as one of those incredible FC members that make this site exceptional. But, don't see why my post was uncalled for, and thought "none of your business" was a bit over the top. I read at least a few threads on FC almost daily and this is one. I don't find having to read through numerous posts as I was responding to as particularly pleasant, nor something that I've come to expect on FC. Personally, I find battling posts rude and inconsiderate in a community forum. I can even see posting something less than friendly or crossing into a gray area in regards to the rules once if someone feels the need to get something off their chest or has a point they feel compelled to make. Having to read through several is different and becomes the "business" of everyone trying to follow a thread. Not necessarily your posts above or those here from anyone else specifically - but in any thread on this or any other forum.

As for your car analogy, its a horrible one.

My analogy horrible? Certainly not my best, but felt it quickly/concisely made my point. To clarify, I feel that having a larger than minimal heat source has a few benefits. Most have already been discussed by others. One that I don't think was addressed is that having reserve power often translates into longevity. I'm not an electrical engineer nor do I claim to have a firm understanding of such things. But from a logical, common sense perspective (right or not), I'd think less work compared to potential output would put less strain on components. Less strain on components often means longer life. I am pretty familiar with vehicles and other mechanical systems. My 98 Civic with 140K+ miles on it will probably do 120mph no problem, but I'd think driving like that all the time would be one of the best ways to not see 150K. I also don't think a vehicle with top speed of 70 mph would last me too long at the 65-70 I usually drive.

P.S. How much you pay for that HI, you're waiting on?

That - I would say - was uncalled for. I didn't even get on the waiting list for the HI, because when I discovered it the wait time was not moving forward. I haven't kept up with that thread much since I decided on the nano - but last I read whatever the wait was was only getting longer with more people signing on and no production. Even if that weren't the case, I'd gladly pay up front and wait 2 months instead of getting on such a long waiting list with no firm grasp on when I may have a vape. Yes, I would have rather known it was a 2 month or so wait up front, but if I did I'd still have made the same decision. My issues with the way it went down were much more related to the uncertainty than the circumstances. I'm not a big fan of uncertainty when my money or toys are involved.

EDIT: Can't believe it took me years to get to my 100th post and this is what I wasted it on! Hoping 101 will feel much better.
