If the fattest-hitting vape you've used was rated 10/10, how would other vapes you've used rate ?

but you vote 6 for the solo, why is your first choice when comes the vape time?!

you got me wrong. i prefer the solo over any other portable vape i own but it's only my first choice, while not at home. compared to the stationary units like the dbv, vhw, ssv, etc the solo is no real competition in terms of "fat-hitting", to me. but still better hitting than the v-tower i had or the other portables i mentioned. for me it's like this: when i want to vape a small amount and get a big hit i use the ssv+miniwand. for bigger amounts and even bigger hits at home i use the vhw. for small amount at home, in a comfortable setting, i use the solo some times. the volcano gets rarely used, mostly for other herbs like camomile or sage, when i'm sick or for group-sessions, after a good cleaning and a new bag of course.

Vapor to air ratio has little to do with the vape used, in fact most are comparable.
Factors that affect this ratio are quality of what is packed, vaping temperature, draw speed, surface area, and a slew of other variables, before the vape ever is taken into account.

I'm sorry, but I still don't see the point.

That could be nitpicking, although i see your point. I think it is fair to assume that people can tell between different kinds of quality and grind consistency, humidity, etc.. especially since people are comparing their own vaporizers by atributing a grade to the best and evaluating IN COMPARISON, and not in absolute values.

The truth is that you can tell a lot by thickness of vapor, although the bowl volume is obviously affecting the results in terms of vapor to air ratio.

Yes, some other factors include heat retention, and how thoroughly the air is heated, but there's really too many factors that are user affected to make this information even somewhat valuable.

I really think this is a poor thread, I mean evaluating something definable makes sense, but this is just a "what's your favorite vape thread".
I don't see the point of this.

I disagree with this statement having read it literally. This kind of information can be somewhat valuable to newbies. Sure there are many factors, but there is also something to be said about the relative performance of different vaporizers after having sampled a variety of strains.

How the user decides to use the vaporizer changes things. But I think that in this case we are assuming that the user is coming from a combustion background and is looking to vape in a way that will most satisfy ex-smokers.

Thanks for your list, but which Vapir product are you talking about? Vapir is the name of the company, not an actual vape.

I'm pretty sure he meant the Vapir Air One 5.0, he included the model number but not the model.

If that is the case, not only should visual clouds be a focus, but also the 'X-factor', the immediate head change that some vapes can give with ease, and is reminiscent of the immediate satiation that combusting brings to the table.

OK so I've entered almost all the data from your answers here (some vapes are missing):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Al3wiRc9rCx9dFBYMzZHZlREaGNvRWdmdzNNYTMtaUE&output=html

I've rearranged the rows and columns so that more data is in the top left of the chart.

But I've realised now that I not quite sure how to process it. It's not as simple as just finding averages. I'll see if I can come up with a reasonable method, but if there's anyone out there who might have more of a clue, I'm all ears.

Almost there...
The only vape i have and use for now is the Vapir NO2.
I would have rated it about a 7 for the first few weeks of use.
Now 6 months later is gets a solid 4.
It's efficiency has dropped for me using it either portable or with the wall charger.

Waiting on my E-Nano and i am hoping it will be a 10!

IMO i think this is a FUN thread!
Not scientific at all, just personal experience and preferences!
Nice to know what others think about their vapes and how they rate them.
There are way too many variables for this thread to be scientific in any shape or form.

Keep them coming!!

i think to get a milky cloudy vapor exp from the Volcano with only a tiny amount of herb you just need to modulate it and such. It can be done, but since the Volcano CAN be so simply, people usually think it must remain so. But you can fiddle some milk out yet. Wonder how the Volcano with a whip would score.

This is exactly what I tried to state earlier, other factors are more important.

I'll post the vapes I have tried, as currently I do only own one.

Steinel Heatgun + Bong - 10
De Verdamper - 9
Volcano Digit Solid Valve - 7

For taste I would switch the places of De Verdamper & the Steinel.
