This show is epic..From the gore filled battles, the larger than life landscapes the beleivable characters that transend time..Any one else have thoughts on the show? New season starts at the end of March...Ive read the first book and its a very good read.Hard to pick up on the writing style at first...Maybe its time to pick up book 2 again...But its snowing outside and I dont think Il be leaving the procrastination station anytime soon..

Her and Jaqen shared some compelling moments..What about his exit from the show and his many faces? Arya is as cunning as a fox. John snow taught her well...I miss Ned .He was a true nobleman..In almost every sense of the word But he brought a bastard home..And through him comes the darkness....

I haven't read the books. I found GRRM to be a tedious and plodding writer from his earlier work and never attempted GoT. I liked Jaqen partly because the actor was excellent. If the character returns with a different actor, I will probably not like that.

I also love the Imp, but Arya has my true loyalty.

Arya is indeed quite the gem. I particularly enjoy the scenes in season 1 with her and Syrio as well as the scenes in season 2 between her and Tywin Lannister. Priceless!

Well.... I mean... you know.

I've watched every episode so far and still can't remember character names. I guess I get too caught up in the awesome sex and gore.

:peace:

I had to look up 2 of the 3 names I mentioned.

That character bio feature thingy on the blu-ray is an excellent... uh... feature. Tells you all the characters in the scene and the story behind any major events mentioned.

Of course, I think sometimes it's better to just let the story go over your head and enjoy the view...

I'm not sure I'd love those characters so much if it weren't for Maisie Williams and Peter Dinklage.

I (have to) admit that the more testosterone-driven part of my character really wants to see those dragons all grown-up so they can go out and fly around and... well.... "fuck shit up." With the fire and all. And maybe eat some sheep.

Am I the only one?

And seeing the dragon princess riding one would be pretty hot. I'm not sayin' - I'm just sayin'.

Bah! Anne McCaffrey beat them to it by 40 years.
did she start out with them not riding dragons, then add content later that had them doing so? cuz that's what i was referring to. are those McCaffrey books any good?

We're here to fuck shit up.
The books are really good. The series feels more like a Cliff's Notes version of the books that takes some liberties. The fact that the series can't get quite into the details of the books is expected. I enjoy the show so far, but I am really looking forward to this season and I really like the idea of splitting the third book's story into two seasons. The third book is my favorite in the series so far.

I'll have to take some pictures of the GOT coins that I purchased through the Shire Post. They print some excellent looking collectible coins.
