Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Any suggestions for future videos would be greatly appreciated... begrudgingly.

You'll pretty much discover your own techniques for getting the most out of your video shoots. Don't worry about the angle of your head. Trust me, Youtube is filled with glass videos featuring contortionists.

My most difficult experience is keeping it in focus. I can't manually switch my focus, so just the slightest changes, to what the camera perceives as depth and it just goes all out of whack.

Other than that, lighting is an issue (which plays into the focus, btw). Eventually, I will DIY a nice little set for videos, including a lazy susan (the spinning platforms) and some strategic lighting. In the meantime, I've switched to shooting in the bathroom, as it gives me the most even light and instead of the living room, my lighting is more focused and bright, instead of more ambient.

You've got to increase your video quality. 240? That's as good as you can get?

Also think about your subject matter? Are you trying to highlight the whole piece, the vape, just the perc? If you want to move it closer to the camera, but are having problems with the angle. Try raising the subject a bit higher. Set it on a book, or something.

Honestly, just increasing the video quality would make a big difference.

aww good call, just googled as I knew the brand. Let us know what your think in reference to vaping

From my finding during use it's great for vaping. As long as you can one hand the vape easily anyway. The funneling action does work and cools the vapor thoroughly. It's almost as if it's water diffused without being so(smooth from greater aeration). I like to attach the helix to my GnOme and have a cooled dry piece.

I just ordered the infamous $40 bub to pair with my solo and PV is all out of gongs. I was wondering if you guys could recommend some tube that will connect the solo stem with the infamous bub while i wait for PV to get some more gongs in stock.

I used an ssv tubing and then bought a reducer. The ssv tubing was ok if you shoved it down far enough to make a tight seal. If you are pairing with something smaller you need to use two different size tubings.

I think the infamous is a 14mm right? If so with just put an o-ring at the end of your steam and you're ready

Infamous is 14 on the mouthpiece but 18 on the downstem. Get a 10 dollar reducer and an o ring and ur good to go. Solo stems make a pretty good seal all alone on 14.

Just what he said. If you also buy the oring you will have a perfect seal.

Yeah, most any sub-$100 piece in this thread. Heck, if you just need to stay under $100, buy a SSFG Travel Beaker w/ showerhead downstem. $85 + shipping.

A trusted member of this forum likes this seller and got many very nice items. I'm looking at buying one myself.

I've seen this guy's stuff. If he's legit, he's a nice option to, nice prices. I would like to see some more reviews. The nature of his work, limited stock and the consistency between the pieces, I'd say its his own stuff.

This guy seems very legit and I know it's his stuff Roger D just had him make 10 custom adapters. I'm going to have to trust him on this one. I just hope he is still selling them in a few months for even close to that price.

Find my review on the $80 nested double shower cap bubbler. It's badass
Looks like a great piece - is it too much filtration for vapor? Almost wish he just had a simple showerhead at this price point instead of the nested piece...

actually has a bit on the low end of percolation. its a nice half way point between some of those 3-6 whole oil rigs, that are so popular for concentrates, and and something like a lattice perch. the bubbles has a bit of a distance to travel through water so the vapor is cool enough.

Sorry for the Grammar Nazi-ing, but it was annoying me...:peace:

I would like to mention I've been talking with Northwaterglass thru Ioffer for several days and he seems to be a great business man. Despite himself and jhanpixel, almost every question I send to a seller, is responded unprofessionally. Being a business owner, I take pride in the way I conduct business and I wish more Ioffer sellers would do the same. Providing immature responses or quick one word answers does not earn my business. I would like to thank jhanpixel and northwaterglass as I will likely be ordering from one or both soon.

I'll also mention Northwater is hoping to become an authorized retailer for FC and requested some input by myself. I reference a lot from this thread and might encourage BDV to also speak with him. Though if he sends you glass for review feel free to send it here after :)

LOL! I don't get a lot of free glass guys. I've received 3 rigs as gifts. 1 from Lev (the Megatube)... which no @#$%, I will be buried with. Its the most sentimental piece I have, we both helped each other thru a real crappy time. Lev was someone I put a lot of belief and faith into, when people thought I was crazy. I knew it was all he needed. He was right there, so close he could taste it... and life bit him in the ass, HARD. I can relate to that. Its a mutual respect piece.

Allison gifted me a small bubbler (gridded inline by Dave M), when she heard about my health situation, plus I was buying some other things. She actually sent my wife a necklace, that is probably worth more than the Travel Beaker AND the mini inline I purchased. LOL! Its beautiful, really. She also gifted me the 15" inline bubbler, I think mostly... because I never ask. If that makes any sense. I talk to her, 2 - 3 times a week and its rarely about glass, except maybe a comment or two. Usually, its the weather, our health, how Ray's handling the winter, her bead shop... kids. Life. Its a trip really... we're total opposites on probably every spectrum, but we just click as friends.

I know you didn't mean ill with the comment, but I know some people think I'm swimming in glass, because all these people give it to me. Naw. Hell, I still pay Mike at OGB for stuff. I get nice discounts, but honestly... they're repeat customer discounts. Mike was already gouging his own prices, I think my 2nd order from him, just because I ordered 3 items and was a repeat customer.

I think of and deal with these people, just like the artists they are. I respect that they know their business, better than me. I'm not shy about expressing my opinion, though. Some HATE that. Others respect it. Honestly, I think I'm doing the board just as big a favor, pointing out where the deals are.

Plus, I'm a @#$%ing sucker. If its pretty and bubbles nice, I'll give it a . OK... OK, its a bit more complicated than that, I'll mention the things I don't like, I just don't focus on them. I prefer, appreciating the piece for what it is and can do.

As for Northwaterglass, I like that he has his own look. I like his little kettle with saw-blade perc.

As I noted, with almost every piece I've reviewed. I will point out flaws. Though, I'll also say whether they mean anything, in my opinion. My SSFG tube, for example. The inline is crooked. 4 degrees. That would bug the @#$% out of some people. Its noticeable and easy to see. Me? Psh... it works, exactly the same. I don't care. But, some rightfully do. For those reasons, I won't shill for someone. A review piece isn't going to get automatic warm and fuzzies. Destroys my credibility and more importantly my own personal honor. I live to be a better person, than I ever was. Being dishonest wasn't one of my problems, but being honest was. Because I was brutally honest. It slips every now and then... but it prevents me, from being a shill and I think helps me have a critical, but not cruel eye.

Besides, I'm working for something bigger. When they start sending me limos, bursting with a bevy of beautiful babes and chilled Champagne, taking me to my appearance at Super Glass Con... then.... I can be bought. :D

Personally, I think he should send YOU a piece for the work put into bringing him to our attention. I thank you.
