Discontinued ThermoVape Revolution for concentrates

I now stick some wax like a booger for later so I don't have to carry anything other than the TV and a toothpick/dabber.

When I want another load I just pick the wax out and melt on ceramic.

hey guys just ordered a revolution from ebay got a good deal (129+20$overnight) and the dealer seemed legit but i got my rev and it seams like the batteries were used and when i took the plastic cover off it was just a tube it didn't have those ring like channels on it and the bottom said T1? did this guy frenkinstine a revolution up for me? besides that it works good better than my friends omnicron and the only real complaint besides the cosmetic ones is the batterie life...cant wait for TET to catch up and fix all there bugs i want a cera

Sounds like a good price for a working unit to me, the idea that an EBay seller might have tampered a bit with the package is not a new one......

I don't follow all of this, but T1 on the bottom is normal.

I'm glad it's working well, and outperforming Omicron......that's really to be expected, it's what you paid for, right?

Battery life is what it is for the reasons we all know. Hopefully you knew that first? I think having several sets of batteries handy is a big plus (you should swap out at the first sign of production issues, before adding more oil) and think you should keep them paired up so each has about the same number of similar cycles. "Mix and match" is not good here.

You will like Cera.....when you get there.

Wait, you took the cover off the actual batteries? Like the factory wrapping?

This thing is growing on me,,,

But wow does this thing dirty up quick.

Glad you're getting to know one another.

Depending on concentrate it can get dark real fast, but as long as it doesn't impact performance, "What does it matter NOW?" (how's that for channeling Hillary C?).

When I first got mine I obsessed over the stain, I even took one back and had Tim strip it and flame it clean so I could confirm what was up. You can clean it up easily (much of the stain remains), but you loose concentrate each time, I don't like to clean until forced to now. It can get mighty grody in there and still produce lots of sweet vapor.

OTOH, I'm using a rebuilt DART (heater died....after long and noble service). Since getting it back it's had over a gram of nice clean CO2 oil run through and the ceramic is a little bit pink. Works just as well as if it were coal black, but it's more pretty to look at for sure.

OF,
Hello friends. So i just revived my TR this morning. After doing the recommended cleaning/baking and heating i notice during the 20 sec heat ups that only about 10% of the round ceramic element is heating up. the rest was blacked out or however you word it and wasnt red the bit. I thought maybe this was normaly and decided to load her up for a test drive and as suspected. only the stuff on the ceramic was vaping and the rest of the stuff around it was just setting there looking all golden and beautiful but not vaping!

lastly even after the clean and many 20 second burn offs (prob 15 times) the taste is horrible....Im using vac purged shatter fully stable beautiful gold glass with the full flavor of the orangy taste of this Jilly Bean is tasting like ass in this thing which saddens me almost as bad as this not working...Ive sent ThermoVape a email and awaiting a respond. and thought the same time maybe someone here can help me out.

MichiganGrower,
...oh and where can i find a dart? I like the idea of a top loader better then a tiny window. Cant seems to find it anywhere

We're here to fuck shit up.
I am no expert by any means, but to me it sounds like you are loading too much and it is not all soaking into the reservoir to vape properly. Because of this, you are heating up too much and you are cooking and burning the oil rather than vaping it.

How much are you loading?

HA! Good luck with your DART hunt. There are many here with the same hope, myself included.

loading very little. maybe 2 small test hits or 1 normal one. I noticed the ceramic not fully turning red before i added anything to it. so Prior to any load.

Also Im watching the youtube video from thermovape. on the review. when he shows it heating up.....yea mine doesnt get even close to that red nor does most if any of the ceramic element turn red....im being nice by saying 10% of it is actually heating up.

< this video and 3 minutes in. mine is nothing like that...that heating element looks beast compared to mine.

You would think with so many people looking for the DART that TV would keep putting them out...are the discontinued or what?

mod note: Please avoid back-to-back posts, use Edit instead. Three posts merged.

Ive never actually looked at that video before.. Wow i have 2 darts both hit beautifully but to get my red hot i have to do slow inhale for like 15-20 sec with nothing in the ceramic. But like i said myn work wonderfully. Hows your heat up time and draw speed/cycles?

-Michigan yes they stopped production for the "cera" but they still warranty old units with what they have which is almost everything "no replacement threads" so be carefull not to cross thread like my dumbass on my AVA :(

Ok maybe 20%-25% lol but still its not vaping everything or getting hot enough to do so.

I would say that is plenty hot to get all the goodies out. I see red so its hot, try when you load it doing a 8-10 second warmup followed by a 5 second cool down then another 6-8 second warmup before hitting. Thats my routine for the first draw following that i cut it down to 4-6 seconds before drawing very slowly

Guys you're barking up the wrong tree here. Seeing red glow is not any useful indicator, and in fact usually becomes impossible to do in less than a gram. Ignore it, it's leading you astray.

Follow the guidelines instead, they'll get you going like the hundreds of other owners before you. Then you can experiment with modifications.

From clean, load .2 grams or a bit more perhaps. Melt it well in with short power pulses before you attempt to draw vapor. Keep it cooler until it's fully melted in. Then key it on, let it heat, about 10 seconds or so and try a test puff, if it's good, go for it. If not give it another five or so and try again. Using a fresh battery, of course.

Expect at least a few good hits before it starts to taper off as the reservoir goes down some. When it slows up, add .05 to .1, never more. Expect at least half a dozen full hits from it but not a huge number it's at tiny bit of oil after all.

You can't just bung some in and hit the switch and expect good results. Nor will you get them watching glowing. Rather concentrate on the load inside, battery condition and heat going on. You'll pick it up quick enough, but you have to use it as designed. The idea is to use the heater to heat the ceramic with the goods already absorbed inside. Like microwaving a damp sponge, vapor is supposed to be generated in the bulk of the material, not on the surface.

Too much material will make it slow and 'muddy' and invite leaks, too little (or not properly soaked in) will give thin vapor and burnt taste (sort of what's happening?). If in doubt, error a bit on the too much side, you can vape it back down.

If the ceramic looks dry, it probably is (some concentrates can fool you here). Always question your battery condition if it slows up, if in doubt swap batteries first. Putting more into the unit when the battery is the problem will only add flooding to your troubles.

That routine is proven to work at least OK for all of us. Lots of others don't.

Best wishes

Are you supposed to remove the plastic from the body? I believe that the Alpha Ultralight was made purposely without the plastic. How did you even remove the plastic?

Thanks. So next questions is all the wax that collects on the side rim around the ceramic....do i always have to go in and scrap it back to the middle? I take it its normal.

So basiclly only expect what touches the ceramic to be the only thing that vaps everything... Ill keep rippin on it and see how it works today and post my thoughts or concerns tomorrow.

No. T1 ran hot so the sleeve was added for insulation. Revolution power levels don't need it, it just makes it more bulky.

The original covers can be muscled off, but sometimes they shifted on guys so that was quickly changed. The current ones (until they ended anyway) were pressed on. The only way to shift them is boil them for five minutes or so and go after them hot.

AFAIK none of the smaller supplies had covers?

You're welcome. Yes, some collects there. Also on the side walls. It all moves down over time if there's enough there (like you're not always scraping at it....). My advice is to leave it alone. I measured it on mine one time, IIRC it was .007 or something like that, a hit or two at most. When fresh condensate comes down it'll get pushed into the pot. It's sorta like the residual elsewhere in the system, scrape it up and the system will just replace it.

It's more extreme than that. The idea is only the goods absorbed into the ceramic beforehand gives us vapor. Stuff on top is going to sizzle and bounce around, not boil cleanly to vapor.

I asked and they said it was a $10 fee and return shipping or just get a 3.7v 17670 battery and use that instead of the two 3.0 123's.

well you would need to have the standard voltage core (6V) rebuilt to low voltage (3.7V) in order to use the 17670 instead of the two CR123s.

trying to push an LV rev with 6V will surely damage it. pushing a SV Rev with 3.7V will result in not enough heat. it will heat up, but wont get where you want it to go.

SV Rev = 6V
LV Rev = 3.7V
