Hey everyone!

I live near Seattle, Washington but am moving down to Santa Cruz, CA in September to attend UC Santa Cruz. I've been smoking off and on for probably 5 years and have been smoking daily for almost a year now. I smoke for a million different reasons. Partially to treat my insomnia and the anxiety that runs in my family but also just because I love it. I've never tried a vaporizer but just ordered a Purple-Days two weeks ago and am extremely excited to try it out. :D (looks like I have about 2 more weeks of waiting at order #2004 though.)

I've been reading this forum for a while and you guys helped me a ton in my decision to get a PD (thanks for the help!!) so I figured its time I should register. As of now, there is not much I'll be able to add to the forum since I have never used a vape before but once I get my PD, hopefully I'll be able to stick around and chat for a while.

I'll see you all around the forum!

Hey all

I have posted 40 times, but never about myself. I am a 40 yr old former project manager/tech writer and current options and equities trader in Austin, TX.

I grow my own as much as possible, and vape about 90% of the time. I only discovered proper vaping last year, after discarding my BC Vape and Vapir One as junk 3 yrs ago. I modded the Vapir, bought a PD and Vapor Genie and now have a Da Buddha and the old BC as well. All except the BC still see action. More than anything, vaping has literally saved my health.

I was waking up with a nasty hack every morning and it was getting noticeable even at work. That is all gone with the wonderfully pure THC vapor. I wish I would've discoverd vaping about 20 years earlier. I have no doubt vaping is God's preferred method of ingestion ;)

Hey all! I have been active on the Extreme thread, but find myself in need of vaping buddies, so thought I would post here, as well. I am in Nashville, TN. I am a medical smoker (not legal here) who also enjoys it. And my jar is empty...:(

Hello!

I guess I'll introduce myself as LICENSEPLATE (). I'm currently a 19 year old student living in San Francisco. I'm actually one of the FEW people i personally know that has started using cannabis as a medicine. I was diagnosed with major depression a year ago, and have never liked the idea of being trapped by pharmaceuticals, so i decided to slowly decrease my medication (alongside of a healthier lifestyle, meditation, and positive thinking) as well as the use of sativa's. I'm very happy to be from the Bay Area where mmj is so freely accepted.

As far as vaporizers go, I currently mostly use my friend's volcano which is amazing. Since I'm living at home with parents I own an iolite and have purchased a flight box (i'm open to different portable vaporizers, since i need my medication discreet and on the move).

I'm happy that I was able to find this forum as it's filled with alot of information, and seems to be much more informed than other cannabis forums. See you around!!!

So my lifted state of mind has me here introducing ma'self. Im a Texan at heart, but i currently reside in Chicago. Im 30 and have been smoking the earths green goodness for about 10 years and now have discovered vape in the last 15 days.

Im tryin to think hard right now and it isnt workin....vaked :o ....... What first caught my attention about vaporizing was cost effectiveness. Like i said above I just moved to Chicago from TX where good aromatics are cheap. The price scale up here in chicago in general is double to sometimes triple on lots of diff things?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The next thing that got me was the cleanliness. Im usually undercover when it comes to my fun and well cigars and papers sre a bit stinky, glass does well, but still lots of after smell. Also there is the cleanliness to self, no burning means less harmful stuff in my body.

Now i jumped the gun when i got into the vape thang. I bought then researched. I actually just found the cheapest thing available. It is some no name made in China box w/ a digital temp control. Well after reading about potential lead problems i dropped the box like a hot potato. This got me thinking about all my current smoking supplies ( ie grinder, screens .......). See up to now my main focus when investing was price. So i would usually try to save a buck, this meant that quality was not alwys great. I cant lie, id get lucky here and there and get something way cool pretty cheap. :2c:

Having said all that I figured it was time to upgrade a bunch of things.Right now I'm waiting for a bunch of goodies to arrive in the mail, including:

- Magic Flight Launch box
- a space case 4 pc grinder
- space case pollen press

I went with the LB because for a portable vape it satisfied the majority of my needs/requirement
- stealth
- ease and quick use
- portability
-cool design

I didnt buy the kit they sell i just bought the LB and few stems, I supplied my own supercharged rechargeables.

Welcome to the forum purplechango. You aren't the first to make an unwise first purchase. Mine was worse, as far as performance. Looks like you're on the right track now. Since you're posting in the intro thread, it would be best if you'd edit your post and transfer the info request part into a new thread in 'Ask the Vaporists'.

Hey all...new to the forum and new to MMJ. I live in Los Angeles, and after a bit of research decided to get my MMJ card. Same day, I came home and ordered the PD because I have never smoked anything before, and know by research that vaping is superior to smoking.

I finally decided to try MJ after 27 years alive because I was at a moment where I said WTF, Y NOT?
I know it relaxes you, or can..so I did it. This was a few months ago.......never did it again because I was TOO high...like tripping, well it was my first time.

Decided to get the MMJ card anyways because it is something I truly believe will help me with my problems. Been smoking everyday for three weeks now...very little. Might go through a gram a week.

Waiting on this PD so I can take lil vapor puffs here and there.

Best of all, I was born on 420 and for the last 12 years a lot of friends figured I would smoke because of the music I like and the types of activities I am into....but I never did...and now they will never know. It's almost like it was meant to be.:p

Hello All,

Just wanted to introduce myself, I am a outdoors guy and recently got the launch box for hiking, fishing, and Frisbee (my new passion). Since learning about vaporizing my mj hobby has skyrocketed, but my green never goes below a half oz. I love being able to have 5 different strains at the same time and not worrying that i'm wasting away any of it by burning. My Vape collection has kinda snowballed First it was the extreme (amazing machine). Then I Acquired a new Volcano Digit. (traded my Shit Box car for it) dealer was going to give me $500. Now I threw in the LB. I make butter from the duff, I have a killer recipe after experimenting with the boiling process if anyone wants the info. Im pretty lucky up here in Canada because i get some good stuff and the prices are great.

Hello Everyone

i am RebelToker86, I recently joined this site after browsing around for a bit and getting a feel for its atmosphere. I am a graduate student currently residing in North Carolina (RTP area).

I am one of the few people I know that began their foray into the world of cannabis as a vaporist. On of my friends had been vaping for a while and asked me to join in on a session with him, after a few months researching the herb, I consented. We vaped on a crappy VP-100 moel, but it was AMAZING. From that moment I was hooked!! :o

After I moved away from my friend, I spent a few years rolling js and blunts, and eventually bought a bubbler. Smoking was fun, but I really liked the different kind of high i first experienced on the vape, so I finally purchased a VP-100 for myself(I didnt know there were better vapes that werent $600+). This vape was sufficient for about 8 months but it slowly started producing less vapor. So I began my search for a new vaporizer, which led me to this Website. I was initially looking at the Vapir 5.0, but after reading many bad reviews, and many good things about the PD, I decided to get on the Purple-days waitlist (# 205*).

I am currently waiting for my unit, and cant wait to join the PD club!!

:peace:

That's priceless.
The Cano will keep its value way longer than a 97 golf with a trunk that wont open (wood screws holding it shut), no horn, green bumbers and a black body. Ran well, even help up after it was air born. Wow that was an experiance.

I know what you mean about having a "Shit Box" for a car. I've been there. Wasn't making fun of you at all. It was just the first time I've even thought of the concept of a vaporizer being more valuable than a car. We tend to think of vehicles in terms of thousands of dollars, while vapes are just considered smoking accessories, even if pricy ones. Obviously, there's a point of convergence when you're talking high end vape and 'junker' car. ;)

Welcome firewatcher. That's quite a jump you're making, up to the Herbo. Should be good indeed. Let us know how you like it.

Hi all, I've been posting and reading around here for a few days now. I wanted to try vaping for years, but forgot all about it till i was baked and poking around the net. There I found out how to make a lightbulb vape, and life hasent been the same since. I own my original light bulb, a crappy chinese box vape, a vapir classic, a vapir one v5.0, 2 vapir minis, an extreme, a purple days, and a couple of iolites.

Hi All,

Just a medical user on a constant search for information. I've been using an HA for a couple of years, got an iolite when it was known by it's previous name and the PD is tapping me on the shoulder.

Hey there... I've been lurking around this place for several months... and it has been the primary source of information about vaping. My poor lungs screamed out for better treatment... and obviously vaping was the best way to appease them. Plus, I'm a huge nerd, and IMHO, vaporization is one of the nerdiest ways to have a bit o' trees.

My extreme never leaves my coffee table... and yet I felt tethered. The launch box fixed that little problem quite nicely.
