A Wychwood with voltage control like the E-Nano would be awesome! I know you can use a regulated power supply, but having it stock would be a lot better :)

The nano does not use a regulated power supply, it uses a dimmer to control the voltage aplied to the element. The dimmer is what's builted in, you can get a similar effect if you add a dimmer to the power cord and into the unit.

OTA used to use one if im not mistaken, but it eventually failed due to heavy usage. :freak:

I've had the GonG stem and the tube stem for a few weeks now, so have had time to give the Wychwood a proper workout, finally! I didn't want to give my opinion until I had the full kit.

It works amazingly well through glass. Very very fast vapor production. Unlike my other vapes, you get thick vapor filling the glass on the first inhale. I'm used the the first hit being wispy before the heat really gets going, but not with the Wychwood. It seems this is common to log vapes, as I noticed this same thing with the Hot Pod.

I really dig the direct-draw tube attachment for the GonG stem. The wideness of the tube is awesome, it feels like smoking a cigar, with very little drag. Its long enough that you can see the vapor flowing though the glass towards your mouth. This is a first for me, a direct draw vaporizer that has a visible vapor path allowing you to see the density of the vapor you're inhaling. It really packs a punch too, delivering thick white vapor, big clouds.

Its great to have a small vaporizer on the desk that I can easily just grab and inhale, so this has filled an empty place in my vaporizer collection.

I bought a VPS (the ebay one recommended by Hazy), but haven't found the need for it yet. The Wychwood is the ideal temperature for me, I can't see myself ever wanting it to be hotter. The standard temperature gives very thick and strong vapor.

The asthetics? Theres nothing to say, everyone knows its beautiful to look at :)

As shown by others, it works well with micro-amounts too. Just a pinch is enough.

I do find the bowl part of the GonG stem a little bit fiddly to take apart, clean and reassemble. This also applies to the original included stem. I'd prefer this to be all-glass, one piece, so I can just pop out the screen and drop the whole thing into alcohol to clean it. But thats only a small point, and doesn't detract anything from the vaporizing experience at all.

I'm waiting on delivery of some new video lights. As soon as they arrive I'll make a video of the Wychwood in action!

A sad day, woke up on the wrong side from the get go, sat down, loaded a bowl, dropped it in my bubbler and grabbed the wych.... Nothing. Like hugging a cold dead dog... Fuck, there goes my only vape... Is it the wych, the cord, or the adapter (eur to usa) I guess I start with the power n see if I can find a new plug or adapter to see if one of those are dead... Sad sack of a day...

It's problably the power source, but not because of EU-USA differences.. these power sources are somewhat of a problem, not very long lasting.

You can search for a router ac adapter and use it as well, most of them are 12 Volts, using the same plug! (mine is a Huawei one and works very well). For connection with the VVPS I used an old router wire giving it a second life.

I ran up to radioshack... No actual vvps, but they had an assortment of PA's... I grabbed a,multi adapter that topped out at 12v dc 1A output... Its variable downward, but ive got it on top volt. All the rest were 1.5A and I didnt know how a 500mA jump would effect it. Never the less this enercell PA is working fine and got my mood chilled. So good to be back.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the extra amps wouldn't harm or affect the WW in any way. I'm glad you sorted it out though, nice to be warm and high.

My cheap LED-dimmer switch is still alive ;)

I just stopped using it because I really missed a display & got tired of bringing out the voltmeter all the time. The small VV-PSU replaced it & the adapter it was hooked up to first.

Sorry you experienced the same filthy flavor as I did with the silicon Jardi, but that's the reason I stopped using it all together myself. You seem to have found a work-around though

Did you get the essential oil smell out of the WW finally? I've never used my vapes for aromatherapies to avoid mishaps like that, I'm just too sensitive for smells & tastes to risk it ruining a vape for me.

Hello everybody!

Great to see a EU based Logger.

What would be the best way to go about ordering one of those nice logs??

I wanted to send cookie a PM, but the only thing I found on here is this "start a conversation" button. Is this what you call PM round here??

Man, I need to get my hands on a WW!

Help and advice would be greatly appreciated. And sorry in advance for not reading the whole thread, I'm doing it in my spare minutes at the job.

cheers

Hello, yes start a conversation is the way to PM someone here at FC, give him a shout and am sure he will get back to you. The WW is a great vape and am sure you will be happy with it.

Thank you very much!

Yes, I can't wait to get in touch with cookie, seems like a really nice guy with great skills too.

I have been looking for somebody like him with a product like that for years.

I found the filthy flavor to be residue from manufacturing the silicone so I washed it in hot water and put the stem on the wychwood all the time for a few days. The silicone went darker and the smell went away.

As for the essential oil I made my WW work like a week at 13,5V most of time for burning off everithing and used a can of compressed air to blow out loose particles. Now it works like new but there is a sound like there is something loose inside it. Is it normal?

What a guy!
So I got my hands on a WW of my very own (thanks kushcabbage) and it is exactly what I wanted. It has a great draw speed, much more free than my Zap. The wood is beautiful and polishes up nicely. It is a winner in terms of conservation, I can get 3 nice hits from very little. I have it hooked up to a VVPS and found the about 12.2 is about right for me. The 12v wall plug also works just fine. My only complaint is that the heating element sits higher then I am used to with the Zap and Pod. Their HEs are recessed more. The end result can be a Wychwood brand for one who's not paying attention :(

But fool me once..etc so no worries on that front. I love the performance on this vape, and I've been fiddling with different stem set ups to use with my bubblers. I'm going to get some more tubing and some glas pieces, (along with the new WW GonG tube) and see what else I can come up with. I've been wanting to see if I can make some custom tubes :p

Missing my Wychwood!! I'm in mobile mode, currently in deepest darkest Africa. Travelling light... only bought a MFLB with me.

Sadly, I never got around to making a Wychwood video. I was screwed over by a video lighting company, who promised my lights were coming for months on end. I was waiting for them to show up so I could get serious about making a few vaporizer videos. But the lights never showed, and eventually I asked for a refund! I wish I had've known, would have made a few videos even without proper lighting, would have been better than nothing.

But my Wychwood demonstration video will come.... one day!!

Hope the trip is going well, i'll be sure to remind you of the video when you get back. ;)

What a guy!
Hey my fellow WW fans, I was wanting to try some different stem configurations and was wondering. Does anyone know the OD/ID of both the glass and silicone stems? I looked but was not able to find it on the thread.

I would like to know that too. Or better yet, the OD of that WW stem itself.

BTW, I'm looing forward to become a WW fan myslf, not quite there yet, but I hope to become one soon ;)
