Thanks man, much appreciated. I plucked the necessary pieces of foam out then realized I needed to do something with the cord. I ended up having to fit my hand in the spot that I plucked out for the Cloud and use a small knife to painstakingly cut a 1.25" tall cavity 13 pick'n'pluck pieces across and 10 pick'n'pluck pieces deep underneath where the HydraFoot and ELBs are located.

T - you bring a whole new meaning to the word anal. That looks awesome, I just get nervous with the cord. Especially right by it's base where it connects to the Cloud.

I'm with you for sure. This product is worth all the hype. I just got mine, but I am in love with this device, and will be a customer for years. Great to hear and see that you care about your customers..
Most certainly the latter. Sitting here using my cloud now... I can't help but be impressed.

My Nanuk 930 is still awaiting its haircut. I've been holding off until I was sure what I wanted to pack into it - the plan is for an HT plus a Mobius bubbler.

I wonder if we could "petition" Mobius Glassworks to request they make a Stereo Matrix Hydratube™ for the Cloud heads.(It doesn't have the same ring as the Packer's Cheese heads, but fuck it, I'm vaped)

Even if they didn't want to mass produce them, maybe smaller custom batches for a group buy or something. I would love to be in on that..

though.Think my second cloud has died on me. Fired it up this morning and it went green for a few hits and went back to red.
Have tried unplugging and restarting a free times and at first it would start to get hot but never went green.
Now I turn it on it goes red for a couple minutes the starts flashing red and green like the hour shutoff.
Any tips on trying to revive this thing or is it just time for another RMA number?

After the Cannabis Cup win he might be more inclined to agree? You're a more recognisable brand now so it'd be good cross-promotion.
Stereo matrix might be a bit hard and require some external plumbing, but a single matrix would easily adapt to a concentric up/down tube arrangement to allow air entry from the bottom.

Ooh, idea! If Mobius won't make whole Hydratubes, maybe he'd supply a bunch of matrix percs (probably the smaller ones from the Ion) and then VXL's house glass team could build the rest of the Hydratube, like they did with the SG gridded trees...?

This reminds me of the early radio control modeling days. I now live in the Puget Sound area but I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. My Dad and I started out on free flight airplanes but went with Radio Control in 1961. The Sepulveda Basin is located near Van Nuys Airport and the flight communications were very close in frequency to our bands, which played heck on those first basic handmade radio controls. You would be flying along fine and the next moment the plane would take off on it's own. Sometimes they would stop working altogether. If you can imagine how long it takes to build something that can fly on it's own, only to have it crash because the technology is not developed enough, then you have an idea of what we went through.
On another note. If someone buys a Cloud because of this thread, fair enough if they come back and point out that it doesn't work any more. People need to know these things to make informed decisions.
Edit: I saw a correlation of teething problems with new technology, as has already been mentioned and is quite common. No offense meant.

I don't think there are any issues with voicing concerns. Sidetracking an entire forum to bash or slam the manufacturer is not what the forum is intended for. I don't think VXC could possibly be any more informative than they have considering the history of the cloud. Keep in mind that most of us - or at least members that have been around for a few years know the brains behind the cloud. Shit - they are part of our group as friends before they became vendors sharing their thoughts on other devices. We at FC were lucky enough to be invited to be part of their growth and development as a company because of this site as they created this thread when they decided to launch.
I don't know how this compares to building model airplanes but this thread certainly is not a bunch of hobbyists talking about a device that was released prior to its technology being ready. In fact - to be very candid, when it comes to the cloud they are the developers of the technology - now they just have to take it to the next production level to support the massive demand for the cloud. I for one can appreciate what they're doing and keeping us in the loop as to whats going on behind closed doors, IMO is quite out of the ordinary but at the same time extremely honest and I for one applaud that.

It doesn't matter WHY they buy, anyone is free to say my Cloud quit working, the temp isn't right, whatever, but we have a rule against product/company bashing (you HAVE read the rules, right?). We've had trouble with SOME members who just won't quit complaining, and a few who take great delight in repeatedly bashing companies as if they're saving the rest of us from a fate worse than death. The deal is that you can post your unhappy experience with the product and/or company, but rabble rousing isn't allowed.

I couldn't have said it better. I can't understand how people can bash a company that does this much for its audience. I LOVE MY CLOUD. I will keep saying that to anyone that will listen.

Just so you know, my husband has told me that he would be happy to assemble our own cloud, if we can order the parts for less
I was catching him up on this thread, and then he said he would be happy to volunteer to assemble and test units... [just so you know, he used to be an appliance repair person, AND he has fixed my mp3 player twice, using a paperclip to do the soldering. He is smart. And very, very good with electronics] *LOL*
Okay, I will order mine, and wait patiently until it arrives.
