Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

My Cloud Plus did not get nearly hot enough. I had to send it in to get turned up. It was really weak even at max. Not impressive at all. If that had been my only experence with the Cloud i would have thought the Cloud was crap. Luckly I know what a properly working Cloud is capable of. I hope there are not too many other Plus's out there that run like that.

edit: Mine was def not the placebo effect. On max it would still be very light brown, still with green specs. And that was after being warmed up for a hour+ and way too many pulls on ELB. I used to finish an ELB in 2 draws. On the C+ it never seemed to fully finish. I did a side by side with the Q and the Q out milked the Plus no problem. it wasnt even close. It was the exact opposite with my first two Clouds. I had two friends that were very familiar with the first two Clouds confirm it also (they didnt believe me).

mod note: You've reported your issues with the product/company multiple times. Your first post in the thread was a detailed 'stay away from this company' post. You don't get to repeat your problems whenever you like.

My EQ is currently capable of darkening my abv further than my cloud, which was certainly not the case with my previous ones. I wonder if mine is just underpowered? Did they send you back your same unit "turned up" or did they send you a new cloud? Thanks :)

StoneMonkey55 did say that the upgraded Cloud's inner vaporization temperature is supposed be the same as the older models. Would that mean that these units that are not getting hot enough are not functioning properly? I am looking to buy a Cloud soon but do not want to be disappointed, being a Da Buddha user for the past two years.

I don't believe the designed temp range for the Cloud has ever changed. It should supply heat at a temp lower than that required to vape cannabis, and get hot enough to provide high temp vapor and turn your herb a very dark brown.

Unless the E design has been changed, it has a ceiling on the temp to prevent combustion. If it goes hotter than your Cloud, then I'd say you have a problem.

Perhaps this is a concern that has been sufficiently repeated that it warrants a clarification from VXL (?).

IMHO the high temp should be just assuredly safe short of combustion. One can get very dark brown ABV by repeated hits at a lower temp (i.e., a slow boil), yet still be unable to get the big milky hits.

Wouldn't hurt. There's no doubt in my mind though that every unit should go as hot as anyone (sane) would want for vapor. There's no point in denying high temper for those who want it.

"and get hot enough to provide high temp vapor and turn your herb a very dark brown." . . .

I heard ya the first time. :)

I meant that, while a temp may indeed be "high" enough to ultimately give dark ABV, it might still take comparatively more hits than the "high" temp that delivers the milk I suspect those posting are referring to. That is, it's perceived as high but not as high as it was (preferred to be).

Whatever the semantics, I agree it wouldn't hurt for VXL to clarify.

I have a very early ticking cloud. I find that I use it at 11 o clock most of the time and turning it up to around 1 provides very thick hits.

Hearing people say that they have to use their clouds at 3-max, make me think that there is definitely a difference in the max temperature between early clouds and newer ones.

When I take the cap off my elb the surface of the herb is brown in the middle but still green around the edges, however when you dump the contents out it is clear that the entire bowl is a dark brown.

As a side note, I have combusted in my cloud before, I had it turned to about 3(not even max) and a friend took a hit. When he went to clear the tube he forgot to take it off the cloud and ended up just pulling extra hard. When he did this you could see the bowl light, and there was definite combustion.

I wonder if those units are just not working properly or if all of the upgraded Clouds are like this. Anyone have a new cloud that works normally?

Since you were one of the earliest Cloud users here, we'll especially be looking for your comparison. (My old unit performs so well I'm nervous about it being changed.)
:myday:
Hmm... Will I send second unit in for upgrade or retain old config and just extend the warranty? Time will tell!

The VXL crew is aware of my prediliction for dark ABV and I don't expect the C+ will disappoint. Previous post are correct, the C or C+ must dial the same temp range in to trigger the full spectrum of THC and CB.

I have a cloud package sitting in the shopping cart at vapexhale.com

I haven't emailed them yet to see if there is any sort of discount for FC members... I should do that.

I have been waiting over a week for Bryan from VXC to send me a packing slip so I can return my cloud plus. Even on the lowest setting it combust herb. Even keef gets BLACK, its a bummer, I "upgraded" paid 150$ for a unit that I dont want to use... It burns my material...

I wish I had my old clicking unit back, I got the best vapor on that device from any setting on it.

Please I just want a working cloud!!

I'm POSITIVE they'll work out the kinks soon... I remember when the first Iphone's came out, there were TONS of units shipped out that were defects. I have full faith in VapeXhale, as they're WAYY too close to perfection to keep sending these faulty ones out. Has anyone received a Plus unit that's working properly yet?

Not really a discount, however, when you realize I'm sitting on a glass+vape package over at vapexhale. But thank you... I'm definitely checking them out for other items that look interesting.

Love the video and you look toasted!! Were those hits at 3 or 12? Maybe it's the camera angle or the lighting in the room but the hits didn't seem too dense.
Was at 3 but it was mostlyy the lighting. It rips nice. Milks my bong up nice too. The lighting in the house isnt really good whats a good place to do a vid?

My Cloud Plus is working properly (in my opinion). I get really nice dark chocolate ABV at around 2:30/2:45. Heats up nice and fast, I'm really pleased with its performance.

Well what really works for you me is some bright sun light coming in thru the window and blowing in the direction of the sun or even a really bright light, like a lamp without its top on it gave me great results. Angle is somewhat important also; the side profile is most visible on video.

Glad to hear it was just bad lighting man! So the cloud has met or exceeded most/all your expectations?

It certainly has impressed me so far. You could even say it has "Cloud-ed" my thoughts.

Glad to hear some positive feedback from the new customers. If there is some good and bad units regarding the cloud plus then that's fine; it's the same for every product and the warranty ensures your not out of $500~!

So warmup time is quicker, but does it perform better if you wait 6-10 minutes after it's green to get the desired performance or immediately?

Definitely have to wait about 10 minutes to get best performance. I'll turn mine to max, turn it back to noon 1-2 minutes before use, then the fun can begin.

I had two clouds that I had gotten a chance to use before having to send in for repair, and now my latest has Cloud Plus tech. I read stonemonkey's post about the new heat shield; thats awesome. But, I too feel like my previous two clouds were significantly hotter and could darken my herb much further. I feel forced to start every elb at 3 to get a decent milk, and then I have to crank it to max almost right after. My other clouds could deliver huge milky hits at 12 and 1'oclock!

I have a new set of better fitting ELBs heading my way right now, but i'm not sure that they are responsible for the temperature disparity. Is it possible my unit is simply under powered? I'd hate to have to send it in and be told that it is in fact the correct temperature. I'm going to have a skype sesh with a buddy soon to compare. As is, I would really like to be able to go hotter.

New member been readings enough to get caught up. Been vaping for over 20 years and currently own and use a digital volcano (replaced my orig after forever) aeromed w/ custom glass and lots of portables inc persia w/ hammer, bender and Hercules and inhalator xp ( love it).

Sorry for the rambling; got a new cloud directly from xapexhale last week and it rocks. I assume its the latest and greatest plus technology. At 12 this thing rocks- I would say perfect to almost too hot. I have almost combusted at 12- the avb was black. This this is amazing it truely redefines vaporizers.at 12 this this makes vapor so thick it looks like smoke. The cloud it an atom smasher!!
