Can you make oil with ABV bud? I would imagine most of the THC has left.oil

i made oil out of about 7g of abv the other day and had 4-6 dabs out of it. not much but i like it a little better than edibles sometimes

absolutely. quality and quantity will vary depending on how vaped the ABV is.

That's interesting. I never really looked into making oil out of ABV because I get my wax delivered usually. Not a big fan of edibles though although I'm sure my stash of ABV has a decent amount of kief/hash
Maybe I'll try it out.. when my stash of ABV becomes too much.Thanks for the info guys!

I am too lazy to toss it into the trash can too. I just dump it into a vial and collect it. I probably have at least a good half ounce of ABV bud lying around.. Should make firecrackers with it

Oh yeah I know all about the cloud and I feel you.
Simple and easy to use and for me only it is simply good enough...
Got the LSV now which is great but I still prefer using the solo for myself only.

I still need a container to dump the ABV in. I also save my ABV but I still have to get up to dump it somewhere
Get a simple glass jar or a simple zip lock plastic bag.
The way I do it, put it inside a container that has a filter, put 99% ISO alchol if possible, shake it a while, leave the oil inside for quite a while, filter the oil, throw the ABV, let it evporate and then scrape it - done.

I use my Solo with the screen cupped and very close to the end of the stem, so that is sitting flush with the notches of my PVHES stem. Doing this, there is only a few mm of plant material which gets very evenly cooked due to the proximity to the heater. I use .5 throughout the day, which is probably ~10-15 stems so closer to .03 than .025, although you could adjust the screen for less space than I use.
For the AVB discussion a few posts up;
I like to use Salsa jars for most of my storage/organizing/cleaning/etc. I'm currently up to 21g (3/4 oz), which I plan on doing either a 99% QWISO or a Brown Dragon tincture from.

^^this is only my experience, but I tend to vape a little under .1 g and that works well.

Just to add to Armerad's excellent advice.....Planet Vape carries a SHORTY PVHES STEM. The regular stems hold up to .15g of herb, while the shorty holds approximately 30% less and the load is closer to the heater. Although I usually fully load my shorty stem (about .10g); the shorty stem will work well with load sizes from .025g to .1g. This might be a good option for you. I can't remember how much they cost, but I'm thinking about $20.........
Thanks Chill Dude, that is what I was eye balling. PV's site won't let me purchase them, I'm assuming it is because they are all showing as out-of-stock. I'll keep trolling every few days to see when they show up again. I am planning on the shorty, but any advice on if I should do Shorty straight/bent and turbo/nonturbo?

PV is still working on inventory and website upgrades, so they are not taking orders until that is completed. Should be very soon now, maybe another week?? I am going by a post they made in the INHxp thread...also it says on the website they are down through the first week of march...so just check back in a few daze...

Alright. Thing charges pretty fast. I took a shower and took the dogs for a walk and it's already on 7.
Notes-
- first I turned it on 7 and let it run through a cycle to try and get the manufacturing smell off.
- I did fit a small screen into the the bottom of the mouthpiece. I did this because I've seen people suck their shredded flowers into a whip (like the da buddha) and I want to be able to load this way too. The screen lays almost perfectly flat and fits in tightly.
- While running the hot cycle I fitted my mouth pieces.
- After fitting, I did in fact suck my shredded flowers into the mouth piece successfully. Somewhat packed but pretty loose, about 4/5 full, about 1/10 of a gram. Perfect.
- After two empty 12 minute cycles on 7 on I reduced the heat to five.
- I have inserted the mouth piece and now am going to take my first draw at 10:13 PST.
Hit #1- very tasty, not too much vapor... as expected, next time I'll wait and let it cook a little longer.
Hit #2, I can see a thick cloud of vapor growing in the mouthpiece now. Draw seems restrictive, low and slow wind the race... Oh shit.... cough... cough... cough... *exhales huge cloud* TASTY! Wow..
Hit #3- I use my mouth to tittle the mouthpiece and open the draw a little. Take it easy. Exhale some nice milk. No coughing. Throat a little dry, starting to get the popcorn now a little.
Hit #4 - Defiantly passed 'peak cloud', little more pocorn ect.
7 hits total, and and pretty damn ripped.
Nice light brown abv.

I have trouble recommending the Shorty variant to someone who will be adjusting the screen height anyways. You can always adjust the screen size up, but can't make your load size bigger without modifications.

Congrats! It gets better and better as you continue to use it and find your sweet spots. Lots of little variables to try when you feel like it. Sometimes it's nice to just pick it up and medicate though and with the Solo it's that easy (and tasty).

Good point Armerad, but I've found that with the Shorty that I can effectively vape loads between .025 and .1g without any screen adjustment and get nice medium to dark brown abv. OTOH, if you are sharing, or you find your tolerance is to the point that you need over .10 per session then I agree that the regular PVHES STEMS give you more flexibility with load size.....
