Idea For anyone looking to vapor bong and don't know where to get an electrode sleeve(14mm rubber boot), if u have tampons in the house, the casings that they come in fit perfectly and are a good size to fit directly on the mp kinda the same shape as the rubber boots u have seen, however it is plastic and a very thin bendable one at that so someone else can try it before me

One drop on the inside isn't enough to go running Down the vapor tube due to th e surface chemistry and capillary action the pg gets distributed and stays in between the stainless tubes and acts a a lubricant. After A few dry pulls there no taste or smell just don't use more than a drop.

Just tried it, visible vapor in 14 mm bubbler at medium, milking it on high. No plastic taste but will be investing in a rubber accessory

some one suggested sugru, but I think that stuffs unsafe, it warns that children will want to play with it but to keep them out of reach. "Kids love sugru - it's just like play dough when it comes out of the pack - but it's not certified as child safe, so it shouldn't be used by children." Wouldnt touch this stuff.

Once it's dry it is safe.

Just ran across this on Facebook

I've watched a few of Vape Critic's reviews and he's pretty solid, although I don't agree with him all the time. In this video he never mentions the danger of getting ISO on the temp control button. I'm not sure if he's really aware of the problem since he does something I'd never do: push an ISO loaded pipe cleaner through from the MP end. I always poke out the screen with a dry pipe cleaner that I then dip it in ISO and push from the oven end. I only push it far enough to reach the top of the tube so ISO doesn't get into the MP chamber.

Hi all, I decided to experiment a cleaning idea. Worked great for me so here are the details.
Now days ovens may be self clean, but microwaves are a different story. Oven cleaner is too corrosive for a microwave, so the product I found that works is good ol' lemon oil.

Step 1: I set my 'empty' PAX to the high heat setting. Let it warm up till I could feel the oven cover get warm.
Step 2: I took off the mouthpiece and using a "Precision" Q-tip dipped in lemon oil, wiped off all the surfaces the Q-Tip could reach.
Step 3: I then rubbed some lemon oil on a pipe cleaner and swiped that through the air exchange tube. Except for the oven screen, everything looked brand new.
Step 4: Behind the lemon oil clean, using alcohol this time, I repeated Steps 1 & 2
Step 5: I took a little Aquaphor between my fingers and rubbed on the mouthpiece stem and wiped it with a tissue. A little lighter than Vaseline but not worth the price if you don't already keep it in the house. Just use Vaseline instead.
Step 6: I put the empty unit together and let it heat up to high again to make sure if any oil was left in the unit it would burn off. I did get a little sheer smoke coming out of the top which quickly went away.
Shined up like a brand new penny!

I'm a cook and you can't cook without making messes. Lemon oil is one of my trusted cleaning pals in the kitchen. Especially a good performer on stainless. Won't scratch, dissolves cooked on grease and leaves a streak less shine behind.

I was under the impression that you didn't want lube inside the MP tube. I never lubed my first Pax (that failed and I returned) and haven't lubed my new one yet. Does anybody think lubing that recessed spring mechanism by the temp switch will prevent future resin contamination?

Another thing, I've found that I can do a real deep cleaning of the oven by cleaning it heated up. Remove the screen and set it on high, let it heat up to green light. Remove the backplate and put a dry pipe cleaner in the hole to prevent alcohol dripping to the temp switch. Clean the inside of the oven with iso on a q-tip. Dig the sizzle! It really gets caked up resin off without scraping. It also works to a degree on the screen but I hold it upright so that iso doesn't drip down to the switch. Kind of a pain in the ass so I don't bother with this a lot but it does get most if not all of the shmutz off.

Sad to say but over the weekend I experienced my first serious issue with my Pax. Lately my temp button, while it does push down sometimes just doesnt change. I never cared too much because once it warmed up, it changed without an issue. However all the sudden, the unit is no longer vaping as much as it usually does. I clean it every three days and I am very thorough, no I did not get any alcohol on the temp light button. While it does vape(it's currently on med) it stops after a while. For example: five decent vape clouds, next four no vape then next five decent(but not the usual amount on med)

It's extremely clean (I use the nylon brushes, iso, and dental brushes to clean). I replaced the screen which did not make a difference. I let it warm up before using it, and its not the herb quality because I used this same type earlier last week and it hit like a champ.

Usually, I can feel that the oven is extremely warm and see "vape" come from the oven when it's hitting really good. However the oven is barely warming up. I emptied the oven, put iton high for about 15 minutes and nothing. I've done about 3-5 sessions hoping it would somehow vape like normally sadly it didnt happen. Anxiously waiting for 12 so I can contact ploom.:(

Update: Monday when I contacted ploom I had a quick chat w/ Lorenzo who said his team was about to go through a meeting and asked if we could continue or convo via email. I never heard back from him. Today I waited until their CS to open only for it to say that THIS week their CS is open from Weds- Friday. Just my luck. By the looks of it, I have to wait until Weds to send this meaning I wont receive a new Pax until next week. :( Any solutions to my oven issue?!

Hi everybody, new to FC. I have had my pax for about 3 months now and love it. Recently made some iso hash oil from my avb and have been trying to figure out some ways to smoke/vape it. I have been putting it on some cotton and throwing it in the wand in my DBV. Could I do the same with the pax? Put some on some cotton and throw it in the oven?

I have the exact same problem sometimes, It happens with the sensor, I am not exactly sure how to fix it, It happens mostly as a sign it's dirty, but if I let it happen persistently Its tougher to fix, and sometimes will not fix its self by cleaning first try. I just clean my latch really really good, that helps, also if I am out and about and cant clean, I'll hold the mouthpiece indented just a tiny bit (an 16th- to an 8th inch indented), this will actually solve your problem every time. (Well for me any way) Sometimes pressing the mouthpiece all the way down past the second click helps too, if the magnet isnt engaging this will fix that, I doubt this happens much, I only see the magnet not engage on my bong adapter, but it does happen occasionally and requires me to put a normal mouthpiece in first. Removing the adapter and reinserting the normal mouthpiece almost always works.

Is that heat shrink stuff safe to breath through? I would feel better about your post if you were using some safe vinyl tubing. Not trying to be an ass, just a little concerned.

Hello everyone!

New to the site, and new to vaping! I have had my LB for a few months and I have really enjoyed it, but I wanted to try something else and add a 2nd unit to my collection.

After a lot of research I was debating between the Solo and the Pax, but went with the Pax after a lonnnnnnng debate with myself haha. I needed something portable as a plug-in unit won't go over so well in my household, plus I can use it for a variety of events/gatherings as it's so portable! It was a tough call, but my gut told me Pax

I am very excited to try out my Pax, I have seen a lot of great reviews! Just wondering when I first unbox the unit, how long I should heat the unit for before use? Also, do I need to clean it before my first use as well?

Thank you very much, and I look forward to being apart of this forum!

It really doesn't get that hot and the seal is on the outside.

The rubber compound holds up to heats over 400 so I am not worried.

I have also not noticed an odd tastes or flavors but this is a prototype so I may make some changes along the way.

Thanks, but Zach from Ploom just called and said he is sending me replacement device tonight even though I didn't return it yet.

For those who care, Ploom chat was not available today because they were according to Zach "moving stuff in the office"
