It was stated on the previous page that your unit has to be under warranty to be eligible for an extended warranty. So I would assume a secondhand Cloud is not eligible.

Yes, this is how I interpret the eligibility issue as well. If the unit is out of warranty, due to ANY reason(whether it be over 1yr old, or a used unit, both are out of warranty..for example), then the Extended Warranty is not available for said unit. Luckily, very few people received their Cloud before Feb. 21, 2012, which should allow most people to opt for this option if they so choose. Great timing by VapeXhale, if you ask me.
Keep up the fantastic work VapeXhale Team; you deserved to win & I'm glad that you did! I am hoping the VXC truely breaks into the mainstream, to educate some who are un-aware that such amazing advancements have been made in Vaporizers & that using a Vaporizer does NOT mean one can't still enjoy precious glassware(the less aware tend to think high-end glass is only for combustion.. I pity the fool!).

Yeah - I caught that part - let me reiterate my comment. If you purchase a pre-owned cloud that perhaps still has an existing warranty which is nullified at that point of sale, it might be nice to have the option available to reinstate that warranty. IMO - it's a win win for everyone! It's an additional source of income for VXC, the seller has an easier time unloading the device, and obviously the buyer get's most satisfaction as they now have security and comfort when making the purchase.

. . . What will make it cooler to the touch, retaining the heat at the core better, new housing, or less power(toke) output? Are there any retrofits that improve the reliability?

The most significant retrofit that I'm aware of are both the firmware and the firmware device. There were reliability issues associated with the device, and there is a new pulse modulation algorithm for heat regulation which enables the faster heat-up and if I'm not mistaken is a factor in less heat being thrown off (the heater and jacket were changed some time ago, don't know to what extent these contribute).

Hey guys. Just discovered the cloud the other day and it looks amazing. I've watched a bunch of the youtube videos and I'm strongly considering getting one. I'm never going to be able to decide on which Hydratube to get though. I'm looking over the descriptions but I'm like um....okay I'll just get the cheapest one that looks nice. Lol.

I currently have an mflb and I love it, but for some reason I feel like I'm hitting a plateau and I can't get any higher. I've only hit a [10] maybe 3 times in my life. 1 from a bong (combustion) and 2 from edibles (a lot of abv). Granted I'm fairly new to all of this. Any suggestions?

Welcome buddy to FC - you will love the cloud. Basically coming from the MFLB will be a huge difference going to a fog machine like the VXC. Keep in mind that not only from a production standpoint will the cloud be a completely different experience that the MFLB but IMO much much easier to use. The MF takes a little practice getting the learning curve and quite honestly can be rather difficult to use at times. I bet once you decide on moving forward with the cloud I think you be pleasantly surprised that not only is the cloud somewhat of a turn on and vape device but you'll learn that you will never say MFLB and Cloud in the same sentence ever again!

As far as hydra tubes I started with a dry tube and it took about a week for me to realize that I was missing part of the experience and ended up getting a swagger HT later and very candidly I over spent. You save so much going with the full package up front and I think most of us would agree that there's NO bad decision available when picking, shit, some of us have multiple HT's for different types of sessions.

Now - I will say this about the cloud - to put it in sense that is easy to understand it's performance of as I believe I have finally cured my VAS! Since your new i'll explain - once becoming a vaporist lots of us tend to go through vapes like we go through underwear! Constantly buying new devices in search of the perfect vapor experience. I myself have spent what most would consider a small fortune going through over 30 devices throughout the years. In fact, some my say my VAS is the reason why my kids will someday have enough in savings for community college as opposed to a private school cause Daddy blew is savings on fucking vaporizers. However, since making the choice and investing in the cloud I have very little to no interest in anymore devices. In my case the cloud was exactly what I had been searching for my friend! End of story....

Now if I should just cure my fucking GAS than everyone wins - including the kids because if I keep it up, lets be honest - Daddy will have to learn to teach. :brow:

Again - welcome to FC.

So I am thinking about this warranty strategy. I am going to buy the extended warranty no matter what. The device does seem susceptible as it produces tremendous heat in order to insure the PHS (Perpetual Heating System). If you remember I have taken an earlier one apart and the connection between the heater and the processor board was ify (I am guessing though this has been fixed in later models like mine)I am thinking it needs probably 600 degrees to insure 400 at the joint.
I am planning to send mine in for retrofit (assuming it does not fail before) at the very end of the warranty so that essentially I get an inspected and reworked unit right about the 3 year limit. I have emailed the great VXH to make sure this is acceptable warranty behavior. BTW this vaporizer is just so
much better than any vaporizer I have ever dealt with I can only praise a company that listened and
responded to the issues.

Magic update by edit.
Question
I would like to buy the extended warranty (2 yrs) for my great cloud.
1. How do I make that purchase. Also
2. Is there any time frame for when I should send it in for the retrofit.
Answer from VXH.
I will invoice you on paypal today, once you pay that invoice your cloud will be upgraded. You then can send the cloud to us at any time to get it retrofitted with the new technology.

i just posted over at the VaporBrothers thread. Last night I hit my friend's VB, it knocked me to my ass compared to the Cloud. I've been using Cloud lately.

Don't get me wrong but Cloud does knock me out of the park but want to see if I'm missing something with the Cloud?

i highly doubt that. 400 degree air will be 400 at the joint within about 5 seconds after the inhale. but unlike most vapes, the air doesn't drop below 400 regardless of volume of air flow.

I consider myself lucky. I did not even start herb until 2 years ago and have only ever smoked ~5 times in my life and hated it every time. My first vape was an Arizer EQ and at the time I think it was the best value. It served me well for a year and is a great backup to my cloud. I then got a Solo and loved it for portability. When I was singing the praises of the Solo I found the Cloud thread and started reading. The price was so much higher than both my solo and EQ together but it looked so interesting. I read the thread for 2 months thinking about whether to get a cloud. I hate to waste money on stuff I don't use so the bigger the cost the more I research. I probably spent 2 hours researching a $50 USB 3 hub and my work is buying it for me!! I know I got the best one for my needs though ;)

When Vapexhale had the 8 ELB promotion for a few weeks after winning a competition I could not resist anymore and never looked back. The cloud is really the best if you don't need portability. I have since bought a Mobius piece and hopefully am done for awhile. There is still a more perfect vape out there that has not been engineered yet. I listed out a bunch of things I would want to see in a next gen cloud or next gen vape from anyone. I am not that brand loyal and always buy the best. However, I will give an edge to buying Vapexhale products because of their support which is really really good.

The MFLB for sure has a learning curve. I was using a 3rd lung with it for a while because the warm or hot vape would bother my throat. That's one of the biggest issues I have is my throat can't take a lot. It's just sensitive to heat, and smoke. I'm not sure if that's because I'm new to herb or just how it goes with me. Right now I'm currently using a steamroller type device i made out of a pill bottle for my MFLB because it allows to me to take in deep hits. This is another reason why I'm interested in the cloud.

The idea of taking a very large hit of cooled and water filtered vape sounds amazing to me. I can see myself getting a few ELBs and preloading them so I'm good to go. I only do herb at home. So portability is not an issue, and if need be I have my MFLB for that.

Thank you for giving me insight on the HT situation. I'm glad to know I can't really go wrong by picking any of them. I really will just try to get one that looks appealing and is cheaper.

Now I guess I need to figure out if I should buy one now, or wait for a sale. It is a rather large purchase and I am a college student. It all comes down to efficiency. The MFLB is really good for that, and not wasting herb. If the cloud is even better then awesome!

One thing I do wonder is, why is everyone blowing out such huge clouds? Now don't get me wrong, it looks fucking badass Lol, but I tend to hold in my vape as long as possible. Is this not a good way to go about? I figure the less cloud exhaled the more It's absorbed, or is that not the case? Like I said I'm still fairly new to all of this. I just want to save time and money :)
