MiniVAP Vaporizer

I think I got the system it works, I am amazed like everybody else who got to use the unit said before me.
MV is like a thing from the future, and the grey metallic look of my unit reminds me Portal 2. OK I just overmedicated again. :D

So I can say it's not an issue it's like the way it works. It would be an issue for some medical users who like a unit to be ready in a few seconds.

You hit the nail on the head with that one ... my 2 main complaints with the unit are as follows (don't get me wrong ... I love the unit ... it's really well made, works really well, super easy to clean, so many positives ...):

1. Wish I had access to temperatures between 210 and 225 (best case scenario, like you said, user programmable temps between 185-225 which is I believe the current range of the unit)
2. Takes a little too long to heat up ... I feel that's a trade-off though that is probably very difficult to overcome on a battery powered unit capable of delivering consistent vapor at consistent temperatures even with high volume draws (so although I state this as a negative ... I would bet that if I had a unit that heated in a minute and a half the trade-off would probably be heat retention and ability to deliver high volume fast)

He has the defaults of his qualities. I'm actually milking it on my new micro oil rig, its awesome to have such a handy conditioning with the MV

Hey everyone ... here's some pics of my methods of connecting to 14mm and 18mm GonG connections ... I've just used a little silicone tubing with 3 layers for the 14mm and I'm using a little piece of the supplied silicone tubing inserted into a piece of a volcano easy valve with a rubber washer around it from an EQ bag kit to form a tight seal with the 18mm connection.

And as a quick update as to how I'm liking my MiniVAP ... it's a great little vape! It's impressing me more and more each day. I'm finding the green temp ... especially when well heated is more than sufficient. (a little trick is if running from cool ... heat to green ... then inhale a little before putting the herb in until you feel a little heat to heat the chamber ... than load and proceed :))

I've just been leaving it on for the last hour or so at green and I've vaped I believe 4 chambers ... and man ... nice thick Clouds comparable to those produced by the Cloud ... and nicely, evenly toasted medium brown ABV ... and the unit just stays clean ... just like the Volcano the maintenance is an enormous plus as it's super easy and simple ... such a great medical device in many respects ...

It's ability to maintain temperature regardless of draw speed is also comparable to the Cloud in my estimation ... it does this extremely well. I've been running it tonight through the little Zapubbler (14mm little hydratube like bubbler) and it's performing flawlessly. (Can't wait to get my battery as travelling with the MiniVAP and my Zapubbler I could see even walking outside a hotel and standing on a sidewalk and vaping with those units ... I am after all legal in Canada ... and the Zapubbler is difficult to spill so it can be put in a pocket while going in/out and it could just be pulled out to take the 3-5 hits to vape the chamber and then put back in your pocket)

Dude, how big is the zapbubbler? 6"? and the minivap and battery are 8"? You're gonna look like you're playing some kinda instrument

I know ... Not real inconspicuous except for the fact that I can actually vape a full chamber in <30 sec as opposed to standing around puffing for minutes ... The shorter time period exposed alone cuts back on potential issues

Nice mods Jcat  If I had one, I would run a silicone tube from the top and leave it under the bar....vapor on tap! :brow:

Alright, took me a little while but I got it translated. It’s pretty choppy though, my grasp of Spanish leaves much to be desired. Gets the points across though. I only included the diagrams where they were absolutely necessary to the directions, otherwise you’re going to have to read the Spanish version if you want all of the pretty pictures.

And it’s all thanks to Roger that any of this makes sense; he helped define many ambiguous Spanish idioms that I had no clue what was being referred to in. Anyways, here you go:

You can download the English version here
You can download the raw pdf extracted Spanish text here
And the Spanish manual here

The temperatures in the manual indicate:
- Blue: 140
- Pink: 170
- Green: 200
- Red: 230

But the temperatures under the MiniVAP site's FAQ's and Recommendations are as follows (which would likely be more up-to-date):
- Blue: 190ºC
- Pink: 200ºC
- Green: 210ºC
- Red: 225ºC

I'm tending to believe the 2nd is the correct one ... but would like confirmation :)

Hey JCat, how do the temps compare to the Solo? Is Solo on 7 the same as the MV Green since they are both 210c? I can't imagine wanting to go higher than 7 on the Solo, in fact I rarely go over 4-5.

that's probably due to the high convection % Roger. However, this isn't an issue for me with my Solo at the moment due to the way I use it. I find lack of smoothness on big ass water filter bong hits the worst. I am actually starting to appreciate slower/harder draws. Good airflow means too much direct vapour for my lungs, which induces an instant coughing attack.

High convection alone doesn't explain the difference.. the Solo has a lot of convection going on if you remove stems and its still harsh at 7.

Besides, hot air is always harsh or at least it can leave you sensitive after a few bowls.

I got my MiniVAP from slide4less (vaporizeit/authorized vaporizer dealer/...). PM him ... or even better give him a call at the # on the site (http://www.vaporizeit.com/) and just ask about the FC discount.

It's a great vape and worth the money at the discounted price (it's a little more expensive than the Cloud once you add water filtration, but not much). The service has been great as well.

I used the kief basket and it worked quite well to vape a couple good sized scoops of pure kief.

Is it possible to use wax/full melts?
