CERA, the wait & gibberish thread

I never used the Cera myself, but from what I seen it doesnt produce the same type of cloud density the pax does. Im not sure if this is true since I only seen 1 video of it in action, but if you are into the big clouds, take that into effect. Thats the only advice I can give you. I just randomly popped in the thread to see if there was some more videos posted.

"Better" is a subjective term and you've not given any indication what your preferences might be.

I own a Pax, never tried a Cera. Since the Pax is conduction and runs hot (low of 185°C) while the Cera is convection, I can't imagine how the taste from the Pax (mediocre at best) could compare to the Cera. Judging from the threads, the Cera might require a bit more work to produce thick vapour but it seems quite capable of doing so. The Pax can easily produce thick vapour, particularly on its high setting, but again at the cost of flavour.

I've been down this road many times with other vapourizers, in particular the MFLB, and I'm 100% certain that all it takes to get clouds from the Cera is the proper technique. I dont even know what my preferences are anymore. I tend to Vape more just sitting at home, than on the road. So, ideally I would like a desktop one and a portable. I am thinking I get the Extreme Q for now, and wait till the verdict is in on the Cera. But damn, I really wanted that Cera. So sexy

Get the EQ and the Cera. Best prices/ best quality IMO

That's what I have, well not my Cera yet but she's coming.

This isn't the proper thread so sorry, but the EQ is awesome, i just got mine a month or 2 ago after i pre ordered my Cera. Hits perfectly every time once you learn to use it. With the EQ and Cera your vaping will be unstoppable!

Now we just need to put a fan on the Cera to fill bags

Yup, that's what I'm going to do. Not enough money to get both right now

but, since there is a 6 week wait on the Cera anyway, that doesnt really matter. I will just order the Cera in a month or so when I got more money. Hopefully by then some company will have taken care of the switch issue and made some sweet mod. Thanks for the help.

Yeah for sure, id go with ebay. Cheap, and you can find places that honor the warranty for like $150 total. Maybe even cheaper.

But on the Cera hand, is it bad I've made another design for a fan that blows up bags for the Cera? A little unrealistic right now but with enough determination anything is possible.

They are two different animals. One is a conduction vape and one convection. Most others are a combo. I think you should do some research. Maybe look at the solo at a price of $160 or maybe the new or old model of the INH.

Okay, I get that one is convection and one is conduction. How does this affect the performance of the vape?

Well conduction is like a hot plate and you can combust. As paka said it is less tasty. It is also harsher IMO. Conduction has less of a learning curve and convection has a high learning curve according to a lot of people. Also the pax used up more herb cause it isn't as efficient as other vapes. Some might say cause they like using it

Sorry but I've gotta call out the BS when I see it. I've vaped hundreds of bowls in my Pax and have never once combusted, in contrast I have combusted a bunch of times using my T1. The point is that neither convection or conduction is more predisposed to combusting (it all depends on the vape).

I agree with the fact that conduction is less tasty, but it is harsher because it is producing more vapor. Even though your body is only intaking a certain amount of THC all the extra vapor is rich in cannabinoids, which are very helpful to people with health problems.

The goal of any vaporizer company is too make the best possible vape they can with as little of a learning curve as possible. Sorry it just sounds like you are trying to make it seem like a learning curve is a positive for the Cera.

The pax uses as much herb as the user puts into it, just like the Cera.

Now there are some real differences between convection and conduction but I don't believe these qualify

Sorry for the rant but I feel like people keep on citing negatives of other vapes as positives of the cera, when in fact they are mutually exclusive.

Fake apologizing does not excuse your rudeness. There is a polite way to disagree or point out where you think someone is wrong and you would be wise to learn it.

For example, I think you are mistaken that the likelihood of combustion is equal with both conduction and convection. It does depend on the vapourizer but simple thermodynamics alone tells us that heat transfer to plant material is more efficient through conduction than convection. Conduction temperature is also more difficult to control, thus is more vulnerable to combustion.

Another way this statement can be read is "Heat transfer to plant material is less efficient through convection than conduction." But seeing that the efficiency of heat transfer plant material does not directly correlate with the likelihood of combustion, I don't really see what about this statement has to do with a predisposition to combusting.
