I hope you get well soon, SM.

How does one go about purchasing the Cloud Plus warranty upgrade? Will it be offered on the website?

Congrats again on the best product award. You deserve it!

:peace:

Why would anyone buy two of the same of any vape? Sure it's nice to have a backup but if your first cloud doesn't break until a few years into having it there's probably a newer, better model for the same price you paid for your backup when you got it. Especially now that there's a standard 2 year warranty.

Also get well soon stonemonkey, if it's any consolation today's announcement of the extended warranty has completely sold me.

Well not to intrude on your discussion, but I dont have a cloud myself, but I did get caught up in this whole announcement thing.

I am bored of waiting, so yeah I made this to bring my daydreaming to life lol

EDIT: Just saw the announcement (The thing that bothered me was the heat up time which I see now has been modified  ) This WILL be my next vape for sure

International version! Finally!

I don't think I've ever waited five years for a product before. I hope it really is only another couple of months as I'm curious as hell to get one and see how it measures up to the hype.

Does the $150 for existing owners include both the extra 2 years and the retrofit upgrade? Crap. If this is true it is just enough to make me want to do this. I hope you have a system to manage the flood of people sending in their cloud. Otherwise you will have thousands of requests hit at once. I would hate to send in a functioning cloud to only wait a month or longer to get back.

You may have been waiting for your dream vape for 5 years, but you didn't know it was the Cloud. 1st Cloud post/announcement was 2/10/10.

Congrats sm, on your latest Cup win and the evolution of your "better mousetrap".

That's odd, I could swear I remember following a thread about it while living in Japan, and that was 2006-2008.

Congrats on the Cup win SM55 and team!!! It is certainly well deserved and here's to many more achievements in 2013: this IS the year of the Cloud, I know it to be so! I will be sucking down a ELB or two in your honor tonight, VXH

This^^ Should we get in contact with you SM? I could wait for this upgrade and send my cloud in later after the huge influx of people that I'm sure are going to do so right away?

I wish I can afford to have numerous clouds. I totally get what your saying and IMO it makes sense but with that being said having a second cloud just lying around in case of unforeseen failure IMO is a true testament to the cloud itself. I have owned over 30 vaporizers over years and by far the cloud is my favorite. If I had to - and I am knocking on fucking wood as I type this - send it in for repair I would be devastated without my cloud!

On another note - how do we know if we have one of the later models produced and if that model is already fitted for the bamboo repair if need be? I just got my cloud after Christmas and quite candidly mine performs so well I can only imagine that it is updated. I timed it yesterday from cold and reached green light status in 6 minutes. My only gripe and keep in mind I'm only using the word gripe for lack of a better term is the cord. It's a bit long for my taste and the collar does jiggle a little bit. big deal? Nah, just bringing it up. Congrats to the vapexhale team for their accomplishments thus far and I can't wait to see where this company ends up in the future - my hats off to you and your team SM!

one of each bro -

Only kidding - IMO I love the swagger showercap but I would also get the dry tube.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Well, that was a bit anticlimactic.
No new products.
No celebratory discounts.

Don’t get me wrong...I’ll probably go with the upgrade to the warranty, etc, but if the $150 had been a discount I’d have bought another Cloud!

As I’m satisfied with mine still (9 months in its still my main vape) I’ll probably extend my warranty and wait until there is an actual problem until sending it in (if ever). Since its currently working fine the small improvements don’t seem worth sending it in and waiting 4-6 weeks to get it back.

So my experience with the Cloud Plus was less than great so far. Im really hoping mine was just a fluke or I think there might be a lot of less than impressed Cloud Plus owners.

My Plus just did not get hot enough, not even close. I'd crank it up to Max and it just wasnt that hot(even after being on all day). I'd compare it to a solo on 3 or 4. Working, yes.... big Clouds, no. For comparison, i ran my ticker at 1-1:30 and non ticker at 3:00. The Plus on max is nowhere as close to those two. After two full days I (sadly) went back to my Q. It was just taking way too long to try to finish an ELB ( and it never really did finish them)

I filed a ticket because obviously this is not how the Plus is suppose to operate (or any Cloud). Also when they sold me on it one of the bullet points was
- " Improved heater algorithm that provides 7-3 PM for Flowers and then 3-5 PM for concentrates"

Now here is the part that has me worried. When they called me on the phone the gentleman tried to convince me that this is how it's suppose to work and that my other two Clouds probably ran hot. He tried to give me a lesson on vaping, like ive been doing it wrong for years. It was quite insulting. Once I told him that the performance of this unit was unacceptable, that my Q currently puts out bigger clouds than this Cloud and that all I wanted was a unit comparable to my first two. He then offered to have me ship it in to "turn it up"

If this was the correct temp for the new Cloud Plus there are going to be a lot of unhappy customers. It just doesnt make clouds like it used to. Im really interested if other Plus owners have this issue too because on the phone he seemed really convinced that my Plus was working normally and made me feel like I was being a trouble customer. All i want is a unit that works as well as my first two.

And why did they make the new cord so short??? It really blows.

Sorry to hear that you're sick, hope you get better soon.
I have five questions:

1: You said that the heat up/shut off time and cooler to the touch upgrades are improvements vapexhale has made over the past year. Are these standard on all newly shipped clouds? If not, do you plan to standardize these improvements in the future?

2: Do the upgrades to the cloud address the failure rate at all or was the warranty extension portion of the new package Vapexhales answer to those issues? the four that were mentioned seem to be Quality of life changes in my opinion.

3: Is return shipping included with the 150 dollar internal upgrade and warranty package?

4: With regards to the warranty, when a cloud is purchased through an indirect vendor, it must be registered with vapexhale to set up the warranty. Does the new two year policy apply to as of yet unregistered clouds purchased from indirect vendors?

5: In the future, do you plan on selling peripherals (eg, hydratubes, elb packs, silicone bands) through indirect vendors?

Thank you for your time.

VXL has come a long way and put their money where their mouth is. Congratulations SM and team! And great news for all of us Cloud "investors".

But inquiring minds still want to know: What about those VXL silicone bands? And are they redundant with the new "cooler to the touch" enhancement?

Cloud Plus or not, my last (4th) Cloud was a little disappointing to me as well, and sounds similar to your experience. I'm quite certain it was a Plus since it had the 90 min shut off timer, fast warmup, and horrible response to temperature changes. I always had to run it on MAX to get the vapour I liked (similar to you, 1pm on the ticker and 3pm on non-ticker), and still couldn't get the ABV as dark as a Solo on 4 or 5.

My theory is that they have adjusted the temp profile, and now are offering the 2 year warranty because they "shouldn't" burn out as fast, and this is why they are heating up quicker, and don't get as hot on the outside.

I kinda wished I still had my original ticker, but then again I sold it to JCat and he just posted that it died

So as awesome as the 2 and 3 year warranties are, just be cognizant that if you send your Cloud in for the "upgrade", you may receive a Cloud that doesn't get as hot as before you sent it in.
