Shouldn't d9 the carts my shop has in stock if it has hazardous issues?
:horse:
BHO, and other concentrates have residues that are likely more damaging to your health.
It seems like you are going to ask this until you hear the answer you want.
I will agree with the others that your answer lies in a discussion with the good folks at D9

i just started making own extracts and would love to get on of these but after a good deal of research im still pretty confused and intimidated by this vape, different battery configurations and carts with different resistances are totally confusing, then i read about clogs and priming which just added to my confusion, basically the vaporpedia article made me doubt purchasing one of these. am i overthinking things? is it more simple than it appears? would anyone mind schooling me on this vape/ophos/persei?

If your gonna use this "system" plan to buy a 90-180$ attachment to be happy with it. The extract carts are made of chinese fiberglass and a wire heating eliment like the 2$ ecigs. I love my omicron I just wish they would have been more clear with what there pushing.

What I paid 200$ is 100% all made in China probably worth 35-40$ in reality and the only way according to the community to get what i want out of it (clean tasty erl capes) I have to buy a 110$ attachment that isn't available because it doesn't work yet...

After reaserch and coming to my own conclusions instead of just reading the hype I'm kicking my self for not buying a thermovape at least they stand by there product being 100% healthy to American standards

bigreed, since you didn't get it in the Persei thread, I'll repeat it here. NO MORE DISCUSSION of your experiences and dissatisfaction are going to be tolerated. Contact the manufacturer with your issues. Further posting in this vein will only get you an infraction.

So I should disregard that post? Or is there validity to what this guy is saying?

That would be my advice, or at least take it with a huge grain of salt. Do a little reading/research. There are something like 20,000 posts on the Omicron threads, almost all from happy customers. Twenty thousand. That's a lot you know.

And we have a new found poster who has some of the earmarks of a trouble maker with an axe to grind.

"Buyer beware" is the system we live under. You get to decide who's advice to take but in the end as Mae West famously said, "ya pays your money and takes your choice".

Like almost everyone here (I think) if you give Omicron an honest try I bet you get the same excellent results we keep buying more carts and other D9 gear to enjoy. I too say "go for it".

Best wishes.

Lets get started. The cartridges itself are safe as when the FDA had issues with this type of device they never had issues with the parts inside only with the liquid. The unit has Silica Wick made from the same material as fire fighters jackets. They are designed to be inert and will not influence the taste at all. Most of the issues caused with the taste on the 1.5 ohms is because someone has over used it and burned up the essential oil, the other possible causes are your essential oil not being high quality thus leaving particles behind that get charged or burned. The cartridges are designed for 1 time use but many people have gotten about 3-5 grams used per cart. The 1.5's are designed for vapor production and sacrifice taste a little bit because it heats up much faster and past the point of vaporization, when someone who is not aware about voltages ohms and current this can be a little bit hard to grasp but easy to teach when the right questions are asked.

G,

Can you use a different colored top on the 14500 tubes, or do they have to match the color of the tube?

Thanks

they all work from our testing and quality checks. Some people might have an issue with chrome tops but we tested them also but they work.

So I got the replacement Hercules but I don't know what to do cause the older outer part won't unscrew. Everytime I try to put the bottom part back in and unscrew it, the top part never comes with. Anyone have any advice? heres some pictures, let me know if you need more.

So Delta9 marked my Omnicron has shipped, but I have not received a tracking number...

It hangs around town for a day before showing much. My notice from D9 was Monday, right now it's in the sorting center 20 miles away, I should have it ready for the local postman to loose tomorrow.

Finally got in my new 2.4 and 1.5 ohm cartridges.

Loaded the 2.4 first with 0.5g after per oxidizing at least 20 times. I was getting small light clouds, enough for a very slight buzz but nothing more. Interesting that I got bigger clouds out of the 2.4 when only filled 0.1 to 0.2.

I noticed that when cold, the 2.4 would take several hits to warm up and make any vapor, so I tried the1.5 because I was looking for a bit more. It oxidized that one like 30 times because the smell when burning empty was really bad.

I filled it with 0.6g of my very pure oil and got some big clouds, but still way more of that nasty cartridge aftertaste than I wanted. That was last night.

Just tried my 1.5 cart this morning and while I was able to get satisfactory vapor quickly, the cartridge foul aftertaste completely overpowered any hash taste. Just nasty. I know it's not the oil because I've used it using metal nails, smoked directly in bowls etc. it tastes just like the empty cartridge on the first oxidation attempt.

Now I know there are lots of warnings about burning extract, but this tastes like cartridge not overlooked oil. Anybody else have this problem with the omi? Any purer tasti g oil pens?

I have had the same problem with the standard carts, hence I've stopped using them. I know for a fact that I wasn't burning my oil upon loading and that the metallic taste is from the carts. The remedy? I upgraded to the Persei with the Hercules 7.4 cart for oils and man, what a difference! Easy to load and you can take fat rips with massive amounts of flavor.
