Mobius Glass

If you haven't already tried, go to Mobius site and look up their dealers. Then just go down the list calling them and see if they have one they will ship. I found a shop down in SoCal that hooked me up and it just delivered today. It took me about 6 tries but quickly found one on West Coast. Just be prepared to send a money order if they are not setup to deal with phone or online orders.

One thing interesting about my new Ion Matrix is that it has a taller chamber and slightly shorter mouthpiece than my older one. The chamber on the new one is 4.5 inches where my older one is 4 inches tall. Can't tell a real difference yet, need to do more testing.......

Thanks for the tip! I'll probably have to try this because the normal sites I check are always out of stock.

My Mobius master plan at work. :science:

Next up, lonesome dove Clear Reti . . . :D

This thread was supposed to be about mobius pieces, but because they are hard to get a hold of it is turning into a 'where can I get a mobius' thread. Posting in here about having a piece for sale is against the rules, as it would turn a lot of model specific threads into a huge mess.

So...if you have a mobius you want to move, just post in the classifieds, but if it gets posted in here it will result in warnings/points.

Just an update on this. The piece is very...graspable would be a good way to put it.

So, what else can you tell us about build quality vs. a Mobius? I would have bought the Swiss he has, but he kept refusing my offer. By the time he accepted it, I had already bought a Nate Dizzle...

I have never held a mobius of any kind myself unfortunately so I can't really compare the two for you. I will say that the glass quality is the best I've ever seen. No visible bubbles in the walls or welds. I'd say the thickness is 5mm but I could be mistaken.

Any more questions? I'd be happy to answer.

Understood and duly noted.

My Mobius quest . . . Clear Reti, Ion Matrix, Clear Matrix, 60t

Wow, thanks for the comparison and review. Puts their size into a little better perspective.

Is the Clear matrix/Reti easy to knock over? The Ion looks to be the sturdiest of the bunch.

Thanks for the thanks. :)

They're not exactly the same. It depends a bit on whether there is water in them or not, and the can style. My Reti has a 3.5" base with a flare at the bottom of the can, it takes more water (5 oz) than the new style which also has a little narrower 3" base. Still, in general they're all stable with water. Without water, a bump can tip them over if it's in the direction of the mouthpiece because of the extra weight on that side of the can. All that said, IMO not an issue. These Clears are special and easily worth the little extra caution.

The Ion has a 5" base, a lower center of gravity, and a lighter weight mouthpiece; it takes real effort to knock it over. It's very easy to handle.

You know, that was nice.

I'd like to thank you, for the thanks for your thanks. ;)
I'd just like to say thanks for thanking him for the thanks for his thanks.

On a different note, I've found a Reti perc bubbler . . . is it worth it to get it or should I hold out for the matrix? I have a nice bubbler already and I've watched youtube vids of both the reti and the matrix . . . I think my current piece now has about the same diffusion as the reti, so I don't know. Maybe I'll just wait?

Are you kidding me? You can never have too many bubblers, :smug:.

I've been reading the Reti will retain more flavor than the matrix due to less diffusion.

The difference might be in the size of the can. The clear Reti is 75mm.

Lol, I know but I think I just want one so I can use the cash to buy a new portable vape in a couple of months. I've heard that too about the reti and flavor-saving. I like being able to taste the flavor, but I'm willing to lose some of the flavor for a smoother hit. My bubbler right now (Luke Wilson 15-arm) does a good job, but I think I could find better. Maybe a little less drag?

Does the mobius 65t require the 45 degree adapter to use the Vapexhale cloud?

That's tough to answer emphatically...the cloud fits in my 65t without an adapter, but it's very close to the downtube. They are all hand blown, so it may differ from piece to piece, but it fits fine on mine...albeit a little tight.

I've never seen any ALT discount codes.
Only time I've seen them with a discount is when they have a sale on (and then there's never any friggin möbius or sov in :argh:)

yeah, hurry before I buy it!!

They seem to have a bunch.. I think I was able to add more than 10 Ion matrix and I think 12 or 13 reti to my cart earlier.

Fred - Do you still use the Ion reti much? I am really happy with my matrix perc but was eying the reti and know you have both.
