Whoa... way too much to read, when medicated.

Someone said something about MFLBs and glass?

What do you want to see? Big, medium, or small? WPW, WPA?

Nice, thnx!
i remember seeing the last one @ YouTube .

I see in your signature that you own both the WPA and WPW, which one do you prefer and why?

P'z :peace:

WPA. Because it works better with one of my daily drivers (actually a few of my pieces, but this one in particular).

Hmm..works better in what sense exactly?
Ease of direct hit when removed?
Better vacuum..?

I tend towards the WPW, cause of I wouldn't have to press it against the WPA all the time, I would hit direct via removing the rubber plug from the carbhole (on the Ehle 500ml Icebong).

Dunno. Personal preference. Used to hate it. Depends what mood I'm in. I probably use the whip more. Just like the WPA with that piece. Don't have to press hard, easy to line up and I like doing the clear, as I'm pulling away, stirs the load and get everything.

Can't edit my last post, but shot a video of a sesh I had a bit earlier. From start to end, with comparison between pre- and post-vaped stuff. HD all the way, and you can see the RezBlock working too. Having too much fun with this thing...

By my calculations, my PA should be here at latest on Friday. Words cannot express my profound gratitude and love for Magic Flight in general and Sachi from their customer service in particular. Not only did I receive the sweetest deal since the Jew from the Merchant of V., there was also weeks of patient emailing back and forth plus stumbling on payment method involved. I'm thinking about buying a cheap china glass bong here for my WPA, or going shack to shack at these Goan beaches testing out their bongs haha. I found a few cheap glass bongs (14mm), one surprisingly even with a perc and ice-catcher and without a carb-hole for about $20, but am hesitant to buy cheap chinese glass. The sight of my unused WPA is soon going to drive me to it as soon as I can afford it, I'm sure. :ko:

Hi FC has any one tried rigging the mflb up to a gravity bong, if airtight and done right you can REALY milk some thick hits with it.

As someone without access to quality glass, I've often wondered if this was possible. Do you have any details? What materials did you use? Is there anything specific we should keep in mind when gravity bonging with vapor?

Hey guys,
First time poster long time lurking.
Wanted to ask for some advice, as I'm not sure what i should do. OK so first I'm a recently converted vaporist, Ive always used my verdamper (under-rated by the way, that things is awesome)
and even more recently i have purchased a MFLB, which i also love. i treated myself to most of the accessories,

Walnut wood
Tree of life engraving,
Walnut stem,
Power adapter
Extra batteries
Finishing grinder etc,

I had experience with my brothers device, which impressed me enough to master it and buy a premium one, and to be fair i do love it, but it did not seem up to scratch as compared to his,

The lid was fairly loose,
All batteries were loose,(3rd party and proprietary (newest logo ones)
And the power adapter,

But the tension was way off, it was frustrating watching my brother hit his with zero effort and me having to align it just right to get it warming, and the connection was very intermittent during my inhale making it impossible to hone technique. i would frequently be just sucking on a cold box, while running out of breath, it also made it impossible to teach Friends to use it or convince them to quit combustion.
Also made it looked even more pathetic when it went up against my Friends pax, i had no chance of defending it when it was so intermittent

don't get me wrong i do love it, the wood and the engraving glad i spent the extra, and the finishing grinder is a beast , will be used with all future vaping devices, as it gets the perfect consistency.

So i claimed on my warranty, and the MFLB team were happy to replace it. I live in England so they very kindly have allowed me to keep my box intact until my new box arrives, then destroy my original and provide evidence to them. Which was refreshing to hear form a company, i was very grateful of this accommodation as i would almost defiantly succumbed to combustion, while out and about away from my verdamper, they are a great bunch, as many reviews have said.

Ok so today my new box arrived, but i noticed straight away that is not engraved!, which is a huge shame as it seems to function flawlessly,( i have yet to use it as it is possible i may have to return it)

So i don't want them to have to send yet another box, feel like i'm taking advantage of them, and i am cringing at the idea of destroying 2 walnut boxes as they are beautiful and between them i have a perfect MFLB one has function and the other looks!

So i could get them to send another and destroy these 2, seems like the obvious way forward, just seems wasteful. I think i would be happy to use the un-engraved but i did pay extra for engraving.

I hesitate to suggest i should just keep both and just have one active warranty, as it stands they have sent me two, they are obliged to send me a third, but i don't want to exploit them, furthermore i would be happy to make do and keep the un-engraved, as it seem like a little extra effort went into this unit, not sure i could bring myself to knowingly break it,

Basically would like anybody's opinion, do you think i should ask them to just call it a day let me keep 2? as compensation for the mix up and to avoid the cost of sending a third, plus avoid the heartbreak to destroying 2 boxes!

Is this reasonable?,

Honestly, I think if you link them this message you just wrote, or if just rephrase it to email them, I'm pretty confident they will let you keep them both.
It would also probably be a good idea to offer to make the serial number unusable on the first one, as a proof you won't resell it to someone claiming it has a lifetime warranty.

The solution proposed by Vicki seems fair too.

If it were me, I would just keep the box they sent you, and have them reimburse me for the engraving.

I'm with the Lady here. If the OP is a long time lurker he already understands that the default tension on the battery contact has been opened up in response to complaints that 'batteries don't fit'. Folks would have accidents when out of round or larger size batteries 'hung up' and failed to shut off. To use my PA on any of my boxes I have to push the button slightly to one side for this reason since the OD of the PA is smaller than the average battery.

The original box worked as designed and built, just not conveniently to the new owner. That is I question if there really was a fault with the original box, but MF's excellent Customer Service model supports customer satisfaction.....IMO much to their credit.

I think this may be one of those 'can't please everyone' things. A compromise. MF would seem to have compensated in this case by selecting (or adjusting) the new box for a tight fit?

Thanks for the replies
Ye i can appreciate your point,
but i did not pursue a early warranty claim lightly. It sounds like you would not have deemed this worthy of a warranty claim?.
However let me assure you i have a lot of experience with the MFLB practically, and i have read and re-read the many forums in which it is discussed, and i came to the conclusion that it was not a "typical unit".
This has been 100% confirmed when i received my new box today, it is of a much higher standard.
I was aware of the issue and the new batteries etc. Initially after contacting them i hesitated to go through with the warranty, i spoke with their customer service and delayed my claim a week while i weighed it up, and tried various alternative techniques and alterations, it was one of those things.
But as i had my brothers for comparison is was clearly a sub par unit in terms of function, i can appreciate the reasons why this may be as each is hand crafted, and transitions between manufactures of batteries etc, i even dug the recommendations for re-tension.
But this fact continued to niggle at me especially as I'm a daily user, I'm reminded every few hours that "it's close just not quite". i felt i had spent a lot on my total purchase of all related accessories (plus my brother has the same,) that i could reasonably expect a fully functioning (and convenient!) unit,
especially as it was all brought as one order, the power adapter and batteries could have been checked for function with my box, it makes good sense to pair these products as there is a known issue, (as far as i know they are replacing them together in an effort to avoid this issue) kinda like each lid is custom to the unit.
The third party batteries i could accept.

i am coming round to the idea of just settling without the engraving, but again this is a "not quite there"

"edit: It's not the money involved, engraving cost like $6, hardly worth transferring, i liked the image and it is disappointing. I'm not trying to take advantage of them, as i have tried to explain"

I used an old bit of tubing that was lying around which fit on the mflb glass stem, a 1 Litre glass bottle with the bottom cut off, and made a hole in the screw on bottle lid, stuck the tubing through and sealed it up. Just remember to go real slow when you pull the bottle up so you can really milk it.
