anyone here got a snus in while vaping?

It's this little device you stick in your ass when you're vapor bonging... 'Supposedly' gets you 12% higher.

Snus is basically dip (chewing tobacco) in little pouches that you tuck under a lip. While tobacco should get shoved up an ass, not it's intended purpose lmao. I guess this is a non-smokers way of facing a stem. Sadly I'm guilty of enjoying one or two ciggies after a vape myself.

*Allegedly*:
Tobacco use with, or immediately after is supposed to enhance effects slightly. This is a regular thing for me, so if it does have any effect I've probably got a decent tolerance towards that as well. Personally, I've never noticed any 'missing' effects if I don't smoke a cig after... I just feel like I need a cig.
Not worth your time if you're not already using 'baccy though. I'd never encourage someone to pick that up just to enhance flower.

yes it's just air-cured and pasteurised tobacco you put under your top lip. But not recommended at all for people who don't smoke or have never smoked as tobacco of course is very addictive.

I used to snuff! I haven't in months now. I just haven't been in to the tobacco store to buy any. I was three stores down last week but it was to pick up some medications and by the time I got out the place had closed. Shrugged, got some coffee, went home.

I do kind of miss that burst of nicotine and menthol first thing in the morning, though... not a fan of blowing my nose so much

what? does anyone know what he/her is enjoying?

Explain :peace:
Here's some help.

Swedish snus is so nice, but the shipping cost that you need to pay to get anything but General over here is a lot… I'd love to have some Göteborgs right now, or my favorite, Gotlandssnus's Julesnus. Tastes of gingersnaps and mulled wine, mmm…

General White is still really very good though, worlds away from Camel or Marlboro "snus". You can find it in more and more cigar shops across the US. Oh, and I recommend making sure you get the "portion" servings rather than loose (lös), unless you're already really a fan of having loose tobacco in your mouth… Portion snus comes in little "tea bags" that fit comfortably under your upper lip.

never tried it, I hate the effect of nicotine so I don't think I would like it. but I do have a friend that used to snort tobacco a while back(ofcourse not with regular smoking tobacco, but special snorting tobacco)

'Snuff' I think it's called. And I don't know that you so much snort it as lodge it in your nose? That's what I always figured anyway, but I thought that shit was from like the 1800's lol.

I wouldn't recommend anyone picking up tobacco on the chance they might like it with herb. I've smoked ~pack a day for 3 years now and over this past 6 months I've had 2 different respiratory infections, and now have bronchitis. Not worth it.

Edit: Quetz, just noticed you said you snuffed. Verify, snorting vs. lodging? Just for my personal curiosity. Have never met anyone who snuffed, people here either dip/chew or smoke ciggies.

I agree. I don't want anyone picking up tobacco who isn't already using it. But if you're having trouble quitting cigs, and e-juice isn't your thing, I think swedish snus is a great harm reduction avenue to explore. The preparation of the tobacco used in Sweden is better and appears to result in less harmful tobacco. Much less harmful, not harm free. The tobacco is cured without the use of heat. The fire curing process used for American tobacco results in a higher concentration of nitrosamines. These are highly carcinogenic. Wikipedia quotes a nitrosamine concentration of 2.8 ppm in a popular brand of Swedish snus vs 127.9 ppm in some American brands.

Now, snus doesn't have as large a body of study behind it as other forms of tobacco intake. But, the studies that have been performed in the EU show promising results in terms of harm reduction potential. A recent swedish study showed no increase in carcinogenic effects from the use of snus, which resulted in changing their warning labels from a cancer warning to the vauge "May affect your health negatively."

Not enough conclusive data yet, but surely worth a shot for any pack-a-day smokers in my opinion.

Here's some info on the difference between snuff, snus, dip, and chew, for anyone confused or interested.

Hadn't thought of it that way, and some good info. I recently made the switch to the e-cig scene (technically I'm still smoking the real thing ~50% of the time) but am trying to quit completely as soon as I can.

Then maybe try having a read of this:

Will go over that more later, but I'll say just at a glance there's a ritual deal that goes with smoking. Puffing a straw helps a bit, but the E-cig so far has been the better alternative (once I got off the dinky disposable ones, waste of $ IMO) since I can still take draws as usual. I've tried the gum before, but it just wasn't the same.

This snus stuff does interest me though. I've only ever tried the marlboro brand that a friend had laying around, gave a decent enough buzz but at that time I believe you still had to spit out the juices? If anything I'm more used to actual chewing 'baccy.

If you use a stark (strong) like Skruf Stark you're not gonna miss the hand ritual.

as far as I know that friend really snorted it. I've seen him doing it, and this is how it looked:
the tobacco was in a box about the same size as a tictacbox. he would hold his hand in such a way that his thumb was horizontal. then he shook/ticked a bit tobacco out of rthe box onto his thumb(I think on the nail of his thumb). and then he would hold his horizontal thumb right under a nostril, push the other nostril shut and then he snorted.
he said it was cheaper(one box lasted pretty long), also he ended up snorting les often as that he used to smoke cigs. but as far as I know he doesn't snort tobacco anymore, but still smokes tobacco.

I have experienced weed with tobacco btw, since about everyone here mixes the 2 in joints, but I came to the conclusion that I don't like tobacco pretty early so when I combusted I never mixed it, but I did ocassionally take hits from other peple's joints where it was mixed. but that way I can only take a few hits in a row(hurts my throat + with moe as 3 hits the nicotinerush gets too bad), so if I would just smoke joints with tobacco it would be harder to smoke enough to get stoned

I started smoking cigs rather early in life. I never 'liked' it, but became addicted. Anyway, I worked at a shop where we were given samples of Camel snus as it was just hitting the scene in the US. I quickly became addicted to this as I actually liked using snus...no spitting and I could use tobacco anywhere. I actually developed more of habit using this stuff!!!

I had to use Nic gum and more of the left handed cigs to finally kick nic for good. years later I'm nic-free, but no thanks to snus!!! It is actually a more pleasant nic delivery system for me, so made my habit worse for a bit!!

You have been warned! lol
