Might wanna read the post you quote before you try and know what your talking about. The post you quoted was refering to the microG and your links and products you linked are a cheap ecig GPen

Just picked up a microG pen from my local head shop(big mistake trying to spend some $$ locally). Only to find out that it was missing some of the accessories and had the old style, wick cartridges, not the new ones with a srcreen covering over the wick. Definitely disappointed and quickly remebered why i like online shopping so much more. Of course, nobody at head shop knows about the missing accessories, and definitely not return the item or work with me...f#$% me, right? So I figured I would try contacting Grenco Science directly with my issues.
I spoke to a young lady,(who's name does not rhyme with Karen;)) who listened to my story and decided she wanted me to have the best experience with my microG. She asked me to just submit my receipt from my local jerk head shop and she would see what she could do for me. After receiving an email from her, I forwarded on my receipt and a small request. The CSR,whose name does not rhyme with Karen, replied back promising to send out my missing accessories and met my small request. Just having that horribly sick feeling of, did I just get screwed again at a LHS, alleviated by Grenco and a wonderful CSR, made my day!!
Just felt I should make note here and hopefully maybe make her feel a little good if she happens by and reads. Not trolling or schilling, just pointing out what I felt was somebody going above and beyond the call of duty.
Really simple device, imo. Charge, remove mouthpiece/ bowl cover, load a little wax(without touching wick with your pick/dabber), and rip. Very nice results for such a little device. I was looking for something cheaper to help me not go broke doing dabs all day. With the microG, I can just kinda "sip" away and keep a nice medicated state, without going thru a ton of wax($$). Kinda reminds me of how I used the MFLB. Good performance on the go to keep medicated thru the day without going overboard. More to come as obviously it is a new "toy". Let's see how it works over a few months time. I am excited to see how it does.FWIW, my daily home vape is the VXH Cloud and daily mobile was my Arizer Solo(which I still think is one of greatest portables out there, and will get a break while I play with microG). I dab with DG Fritted and Ti nail/Globe.

Grenco Science, thank you for picking up where the joke of a local head shop left off!!

Hey just an FYI, not sure what accessories your talking about, but up until they redesigned the microG the only things that came in the box were 2 microGs, a charger and the mouthpiece condom things. When they redesigned the coil and button on the battery they started adding the glass containers and mini dabber(if those are the accessories your talking about.) so i doubt your LHS screwed you over. I personally am happy i bought the old model because i like the old tanks better and i love having the G on the button! However my experience with grenco has not been the same. Like you i was dissapointed that they started adding the accesories a week or 2 after i purchased my microG from myLHS. I contacted them saying i juts purchased a week ago still had reciept but mine did not come with the glass containers or dabber that is now. i told them i was interested in trying the new tank and wanted the accesories that are now included and even said i was willing to pay so i could just get 2 of the containers instead of having to buy the 10 pack they sell ontheirwebsite. They rsponded and said sorry but that is not an option and i coud like them on facebook and get 15% off my order. What a joke im done with grenco. Still use the microG but not buying anything directly from grenco

Bought the original G Pen on Haight Street about a month ago.. the tank that came with it was pretty much crap after the first use with some wax. Haven't replaced it yet. Not sure I even want to, all I've read everywhere is that this pen is a rebranded POS and I've been shammed by Grenco. I believe it too. Got caught up in friends hype while on the west coast and made an $80 mistake I guess. Maybe I can at least use the G Pen as an e-cig?

Bummer. You're far from alone. Your friend is no doubt the victim of that very same hype. No question, the family of modified e-cigs being pushed to the unwary do work sometimes, at least often enough for the good news of the 'revolutionary breakthrough' to continue to have legs. The dark side of Capitalism. To work well it takes informed consumers, something not always in play with pot related gear......

The good news is your battery is still probably useful. I find it impossible to keep up, but I'm pretty sure your uint uses standard 510 threads so a whole host of e-cig carts should work. If that's the case, nowever, a five dollar adapter:
http://www.tropicalvapors.com/Adapt...artomizer-Omicron-Super-Nova-Smoore_p_68.html

will let you run 2.4 Ohm Omicron carts on it. They are purpose built for hash oils. They actually work as advertised. Over the long run. You can expect 200 to 400 hits per gram for a few grams on 12 dollar carts. Regular, dependable performance if you can feed it 'fair or better' grade concentrates so it keeps feeding without fouling out.

If you want an indication of the relative values, notice the few hundred posts here (mostly from upset folks it seems) to the over 10,000 posts (almost all from very happy customers) on the Omicorn thread, or the 8,000 on Persei (basically the same cart on a bigger supply for the most part). A few dozen happy customers (many you might assume who've just never tried better) against thousands who seem to have found true success. Lots of guys there that started with 'the cheap junk', upgraded to Omicron and never looked back.....you can grow old looking for a single guy that claims he got rid of his chronic Omicron problems with cheap Chinese e-cigs being flogged as something else. Unless, of course, he's doing the flogging?

I hope the rest of your trip to the coast worked out better. Bummer you've got some gear you can't use now, but it could have been an embarrassing tatoo you know......

Oh truly it was an amazing trip as always to Cupertino/SF/SJ. Never a dull moment and it beats the shit out of the wang state any day!

I'm really into concentrates so I may have to give that adapter a try. For now I'll probably just order one of those cheaper tanks linked earlier that were 2 for 15, identical to Grenco's. At least I can use the Gentleman's E-liquid I picked up too in the meantime :p thank you for showing me the adapter though! I really really loved hitting wax off this thing when it worked over there.

I'm not sure the 510 is the right size however? I've googled some 510's and they all seem to be the slender, regular-cig style tanks. Maybe I'm just too much of a newb and should hush up :p?

Of's advice is correct with the exception that the adapter is not required. I picked up a 2.4 ohm omnicron cart for $12 at a local headshop and had the guy put the cart on a g-pen before I purchased it. Performance is as OF said and as long as you follow the priming instructions, which can be found on delta-9's website, these carts make vaping concentrates with a g-pen pretty damn awesome.

Yeah G pens are not 510 thread, at leastthats what they told me when I asked if their tank would work with my battery. The essential oil glass tank loks awesome but ive heard of them dying out randomly and for 50 dollars id rather not waste the money.I find their customer service to be horrible in my opinion though. When i inquired about the accesories they started including after i purchased mine they told me they wouldnt sell the glass containers in packs of two like they come with now, and if i wanted i could like them on face book and get 15% off the 10 pack. however a couple days later they start selling the containers in 2 packs and never informed me.

On another note i just got some replacement microG coils seeing how my old place to get replacement coilds, cloudvapez now sells 1 for 25 dollars. I was hesitant because i did not like the whole screen idea. It seems they have just reverted back to their old style coils. I got two, they came in the microG coil box like on the website but their the same style atomizers that cloud pens use again. However the cloud atomizers fit perfectly into my mouthpieces, the microG coils are really loose, are missing the the o ring that the cloud ones have and when i put it the cloud o ring on my new microG coil its impossible to get into the moutpiece. Im really dissapointed. Just got a LV revolution so i doubt ill be using this much anyway anymore

Anyone have any idea on how the 1.5ohm omicron cart would work with the gpen battery? The gpen voltage is compatible with the 1.5ohm right?

If it threads on, which it sounds like it will, it will work well. 1.5ohm carts were designed for larger hits at 3.7v.

While I agree with that as far as the cart goes, the question was "Anyone have any idea on how the 1.5ohm omicron cart would work with the gpen battery?". To me that includes the Gpen.

While the Omicron cart was designed for the duty, the Gpen was not. 1.5 Ohm loads represent a 'worst case' for it and it was never intended to be 'chain hit'. The 8 second limit protects it, unless you bypass it (which everyone does). These sorts of supplies are known to burn out in this sort of duty. There are exceptions (like the EgoT-Twist) but i doubt Gpen supplies were picked for robust construction over cost?

Just because it works doesn't mean it'll last.

Thanks, OF. Yeah I don't expect it too last very long at all, trying to save up for a omicron kit. But in the meantime I'm just curios if the gpen battery can even provide enough current for the 1.5ohm. I'd imagine there would be some voltage drop running a 1.5omh on a gpen battery. I just ordered a 2.4ohm cart, and I'm very curious to see how it will preform on a gpen batt. I've also got a 1100mah EGO-W battery coming for free, I'm hoping that battery will be more up to the task for omicron carts.

Also, EGO-Ws have the same threading as the gpens right? I really doubt grenco actually changed the threading, but I just want to make sure as I've got an EGO-W battery coming.

EDIT: Oh and I decided to go for a 2.4ohm cart over a 1.5ohm, bc I read the stock gpen/ego-w carts are around 2.4ohms. So I'm hoping the 2.4ohm cart on a gpen/1100mah EGO battery will perform similarly to the O-PHOS.

OF is correct and so was your method of choosing the "ideal" cart for your battery. The 1.5ohm will be hotter than a 2.4ohm. Yes, you will get larger hits, but you are also walking the line of burning your cart out faster or running in to other issues. Your setup will be pretty much the same as an O-Phos.

i recently got the essential oils tank for my Gpen and ive been using it ALOT and ive noticed that my coil inside the nail is starting to get black shit on it and i cant scrape it off with my tool. Is this supposed to happen or does this mean i need a new one?

I noticed kinda what you described with my microG, after a bunch of uses, the coil becomes coated in a black substance that looks like mushy/hashy resin but its actually really hard and wont come off. I believe its just resin, if you dont add anything and keep running the coil it eventually turns to ash and comes right off

I was able to clean that black residue using a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol, which made the coils burn red again, but within a few days it was toast. The essential oil tanks are a bust in my opinion, I've went through 2 and neither lasted more than 2 weeks. Now I use the 2.4ohm Omicron tanks with the G-Pen battery, just filled my second tank yesterday after about 1 month of heavy use.

Glad to here you're on to Omicron carts and having good results with them. They were designed to work with oil from the start, makes a big difference.

As a thought if you're happy with how they do on the G Pen battery, you ought to get a load of what they can do on the power supply built specifically to drive them (clue there too....).

Yeah i broke one of my microG tanks trying to clean it, the other one seemed to die after about 3 weeks of heavy use, and i seemed to lock/break a third one. I still love it though, ive been using my current cartridge for about 2 weeks now so hopefully this one lasts longer. Ive got 2 more back up cartridges but if i dont get more than 3 weeks out of one of the 3 i have left. im probably done with it. If only my microG battery was compatible with the dart!

Hello everyone, im new to this forum but after looking all over the web for vapor answer, this seems like the place to be.

Does anyone have troubleshooting tips for a G-Pen, im having connectivity issues with the battery and coil. Got 3 hits of BHO on day 1 and then it stopped working. before i go buy a Omnicron or similarly praised vape im hoping i can get this chinese e-cig thing working.

Sounds broken... try screwing it in all the way, then slightly unscrewing it. Maybe very gently push it to once side while slightly loose to help ensure contact? Maybe the coil blew? Wiring inside just decided to kaput?

You wouldn't do wrong getting an Omi, Persei, Cera EO, etc. That's ascending order for price, CEO being around $300 total (which I will admit is expensive if you're not doing oils all the time, but the reviews/videos do it justice.)

Your tips actually helped...for 2 more hits. then it bugged out again .

I need my dose, its as if all my electronics arent working today (G-Pen, Blackberry, xbox, Computer)

Does anyone has advice regarding the G-Pen. I've only dropped 80$ on it, and now i have a decision to make. Purchase cartomizers or some sort of thread conversion and get other pieces for it , or , call it a loss and move on to something higher end ?

The Cera Titanium one looks crazy, but 500$ seems excessive.
Omicron looks cool, Persei is intimidating me right now( looks super complicated, SO many parts)

Thanks for reading and responding

Well, the way I see it...

It's going to totally die on you within the next few weeks most likely. You're $80 in, you can spend more money on tanks and have it fail again later (leading to more tanks or battery units?) and call it quits then, being in a deeper hole than you were before and having to get a new device anyways... or you can cut your losses and get one now, minimizing your money spent. I agree the Cera is a bit expensive, like I said if you're not using oils a lot the price can't really be justified.

See if you can (for whatever reason) get a refund on the Gpen. Probably not, but it's worth a shot and a couple minutes. There's lots of options for vaporizing oils on the go, unfortunately most of them are re-purposed electronic cigarettes that weren't designed to handle the viscosity of oils, nevermind the sketchy design/quality control/differing vaporization temperatures between Propylene Glycol + Vegetable Glycerin (which is the fluid in electronic cigarette juice) compared to shatter or sap or wax.

Good luck on your quest, we've got a ton of info here about almost every vaporizer (and especially the ones worth spending your money on.) Good luck :peace:

You can also mail Delta 9 your broken G-Pen and get a silver omicron or Persei well under retail.

I think DubC has a great point.....and advice.

If you want to try a stopgap, I'd suggest getting a couple 2.4 Ohm Omicron carts and giving them a try on your battery. I think this doesn't need the tread adapter (someone who knows please correct if necessary?), even if it does that's five bucks.

Even if it doesn't work, the Omicron carts will be useful when you upgrade to Omicron (regular or Light) or Persei. Buying more Gpen carts seems more like good money after bad.

Your call, but IMO the sooner you get away from the 'repurposed' cheapest e-cig parts available the happier you'll be.
