make sure you have a glass screen, a nicely burning heating chamber and a juiced battery. an old battery can cause slow heating which makes for bad portability and sometimes it wastes your bud. in order to know if its the chamber or the battery u test heating time. if ur chamber heats quick but not bright or strong then its the heating chamber. if all ur coils work and burn fairly bright but ur heating time is slow and becoming less intense with every hit then its the battery. hope this helps!

oh and btw a new nonstop used heating chamber for vaping should burn great for a max of 2 weeks. vaping takes way more strain on the battery and chamber than combusting does. batterys lose power after about a month of heavy use as well. good luck.

Forget flowers in the ar, drop some wax/oil in it. The thing sucks for flowers

if u put anything other than seedless and stemless dry herb in the heating chamber you void the warranty.. i also imagine it shortly breaking after :\

You void the warranty by using Atmos Raw with wax?

You do only for the heating chamber. I dont have the user manual in front of me but i believe it specifically said do not drop oils/waxs/concentrates or any liquids in the heating chamber. The coil in the chamber is exactly like an electric stove top. each end of the coil is connected to wires in the chamber . if you drop anything other than herb on that and it leaks into the wire (and it will because there are tiny gaps where the connectors of the coils start) I imagine it instantly burning out. but it does say it voids the heating chambers warranty.

Nobody I know reccomends it for herb, they all use wax. I feel like wax is the only way people get it to work, burning flowers isn't what most people are seeking when purchasing an AR.

It sounds like a good excuse to make people buy a new chamber....

Actually it's not. It's very primitive relative to the stove units. The stove ones are insulated and sealed inside SS covers (the reason you don't get shocks). The hot heater metal (Nickle Chrome as 'industry standard') is directly exposed, like dripping your goods onto a bathroom heater......or the kitchen toaster.

This is an important point when you set out to make a quality vape cart. The heater can get seriously hot here adding taste and other factors as it chemically gets involved with what was supposed to be a straight physics problem. D9 addresses this by sealing the heater inside the ceramic jacket in Hercules, TV uses a special heater material (not Nichrome) better suited to the duty. Notice 'G' at D9 is starting to (justifiably IMO) boast he'll provide us with laboratory tests to prove he's not using 'e-cig industry standard' in his upcoming 1701 cart? That's why.

Your call (your health even). But I recommend the superior performing alternatives actually made for the duty not some 'bathtub gin' conversions with no parentage?

i rarely have major or really any trouble burning herbs (after about a week of learning how to use and clean it) I found out if i grind my herbs into powder they burn like butter in the raw. however i do think that its a chamber merketing scheme.
Its already $15 for a new 2-3 week lasting chamber so to void warranty on use and makem pay $40 for a new one is total crap IMO. But I guess I landed safe since I use it for dry herb.

sorry its hard to similarize and explain when i dont have a pic of the two. but i was trying to say is the SS cover peice of the coil of a stovetop has a hole to connect and disconnect the coil in the oven. This is similar to the RAW chamber by there being tiny holes where the coils start and finish but u cant connect or disconnect anything.. its all fixed.

I just got one of these a month ago for my birthday and I don't understand it at all. When I look n the chamber the heating element never glows. But I will see some vapor or smoke come out. However when I use it I get no smoke or vapor when I exhale, andI don't get he effects of what I am smoking. I don't know what I am doing wrong. On rare occasions I will get a giant puff of vapor or smoke and then back to nothing. It used to work better a couple of weeks ago and now I'm finding its not working for me!!

These things take a bit of trial and error to use at your own pace..
Vaping: make sure your bud is broken up into powder, make sure your battery is charged. Your heating element should burn exceptionally bright like an oven burner... That burner should be heating the glass filter in the heating chamber for a real vaporized hit. in order to heat the chamber properly for vaping don't shut the heater off. Keep your finger constantly pressing the power button every 5 seconds so u don't activate the shut off time. When the RAW gets really really hot its ready to hit. You can't take your time and reheat it. You have to actively keep it as hot as possible and only take about 15 to 20 seconds in between hits. A fully packed chamber should last about 3 or 4 decent vapor hits. You should be hitting the AtmosRAW pretty slow as well because The bud inside the heating chamber (that's not sitting directly on the heating coil) relies on the heat of the drag to be vaped.

If you want to combust (which is what I recommend using this for) don't use the glass filter, just drop bud into the chamber and smoke at your own pace. 1 fully packed chamber for combustion lasts a good 6 gnarly hits. Its exactly like a blunt hit not a pipe hit. Its way stronger.

If at any time herbs are crusting up and not burning in the chamber just scrape them around a bit with the packing tool and make sure they are sitting evenly on your heating element. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you for the tips. I grind my bud and my battery is fully charged. It's just not working right. It used to work pretty well. It's only a month old. The hearing chamber gets hot and the bud eventually burns. But if I leave the thing open and hold power no smoke even slightly comes out. I don't get it. Maybe it's not getting hot enough?

Wait a minute. I just watched some of your video on the other page. The heating element only lasts a month?? Maybe I misunderstood....

yea sometimes 2 weeks but no longer than a month. with 1 month of usual use the coils start to die. if you feel you can get more then by all means keep using them lol but I found it to be really difficult.

Wow I had no idea. I feel so ripped off. Thank you for your help, this makes sense now. Are all portable vaporizers like this?

No! And this is my main gripe about some of these lesser units. They can turn people off to vapor. I saw these in my LHS and we (the owner and I) both agreed it should be marketed as an oil pen that can also smoke herbals, but not vaporize!

Some distributors drive their sales by margins and not the quality of the products, so you see a lot of shit in the head shops. And the owners don't know anything about the units either. They just put them in the counter and wait to see which ones people say they like.

The thing vaporizes.... just not very good, even, or efficient but just the mere fact that you have the ability to even get one vaped hit out of it allows it to be advertised as a vape. Atmos will only tell you to use it word from word in the user manual if you ask.. they dont get into detail. To be honest this company seems as if it tried to pull numbers by fooling people into thinking they are "High Times (mag) 5 star recommended" High Times even left a great review. Its all bullshit. Im not gonna say Atmos went on a vape scam rampage.. but I can definately say when a corporate company has already invested money into a product and cant turn away from, they WILL DO EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING to get that $ back even if it means to exaggerate the product to the point where your pretty much lying. (in this case with the RAW)

Not at all.. portable vapes are NOT like this at all... but they certaintly dont look as cool as the RAW and dont look like a popular new e cig for further discretion. For the price of the RAW there are some badass dominating portable vapor units on the market.. but I like to smoke just as much as vape so i never replaced my RAW. And the Fact that Atmos is only a 25 min drive from my house i can replace my raw in w/e color i want and also get local discounted warranty replacement.. but if Atmos isnt local to you... and you want a legit vapor only unit.. the RAW is definately not the toy for you :[

While I agree this unit seems to be a pretty lame vape at best, I don't agree with the second point. That has noting at all do to with "it allows it to be advertised as a vape". No laws cover such things I'm aware of. There is no permission granted, they just advertise saying any old thing that they think will get them the sale (much like some view honesty with citizens against election prospects). It is not a criminal matter. It is a civil matter. You, as the customer suffering the loss (and you have to actually suffer the loss to play) have to sue them in court to recover those losses. Otherwise nobody official, and I mean nobody, is at all interested in false claims of utility. You have to prove willful fraud basically. You, not the authorities. And as you point out, that's neigh on to impossible if they have lawyers backing them up.

They just want your money, and will say what they think will give them more of it.

I think we're back to "Buyer beware"? Perhaps that means our job is to warn our fellow Forum members off?
