Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

My cloud stopped heating this morning. RIP
Have had this one since mid-september.

It just stays at red, I hope the warranty will be good to me. I really didn't think this would happen to me, I've been pretty delicate in caring for the unit. Anyone with similar experience ?

File a support ticket and let us know when/how it gets resolved.

This thread has caught my eye since the beginning and I love the non-water mouthpiece!

But can someone help me out with the prices:

-Lots of the glass is $250
-The MP is $30

-The unit itself, if you buy with glass costs $325
-The unit itself, if you buy with MP costs $420

Why does the base unit get a $100 bump if you don't want expensive glass?

There's no question this is a great product, but I kind of expected their production capabilities to have matured by now... are the prices inflated to create artificial scarcity, like expensive name-brands?

My understanding is that some of the glass is actually imported from Germany, which adds to the costs.
It takes years to streamline production and get the supply chain going steadily. VXL aren't quite there yet, so the prices reflect that.

They're getting there but until then, the early adopters have to pay the price.

Will do everyone. But boy am I feeling the suck of this situation. Hoping the turnaround won't be take to long.

Its good to see veto here.

Fond memory
I actually had a dream that I was going to get a new vape before I ordered the cloud. The dream was strange that I just had to check into vapexhale and this website- turns out that they where having a sale at that time. Awesome premention. Also in the same dream I saw veto hitting the cloud and he was really impressed.. lol dead serious too. But dammit this sucks.

It's not that the base unit gets a bump, its that the GLASS packages get a discount for ordering it all at once.

Probably to make more incentive buying the cloud along with the glassware because the cloud is cheaper than if you just buy it with the MP?

Basically the cloud seems to cost 450 dollars by itself?

I didn't think I'd like my hydratube as much but I really like it, I've grow accustomed to the thick but dispersed vapor- its really nice.

Product features:
- Perpetuheat System (PHS)
- All Glass Vapor Path
- High Quality Heating Element
- Newest model

Accessories (Included):
- 1 x Glass Mouthpiece
- 2x EZ Load Bowls
- 1x Power Cord
- 1x User Manual
I think now all cons (for me) of the Cloud got fixed. Together with upgraded heat-up and shut-off time, reliability, fixability, HT upgrade, silent operation, ELB and LED issues. I can't think of any more cons that remains. Only the price got up, but I can accept that. I belive I will get what I pay fot with VXC. With my optimistic view this can happen in matter of weeks. I hope this really implies the new model has detachable power cord as it's explicitly mentioned in accessories. I would love detachable power cord!

I was about to post this and you said it better.

You know how it goes, Joe...
Buy this base unit for $450!
Buy this HT for $250!
Or, get both for only $575!!!!

And yes, Joe, the dry tube is fantastic. I never thought I'd say that since I love the water filtration, but since using the dry tube I've figured out that the screen is fine enough to catch just about everything. The tube doesn't have any of that brown shit on it, just itsy bitsy condensation drops from the vapor. I think I'm getting more satisfying hits with the dry tube since the flavor is stronger and the screen works so well. When using the LSV WPA with my Ion I would get shitty looking water in just a few days. With the Cloud I don't ever feel like I have to change the water (and you know how I like that, lwien!). I think this vape shines even more with the dry tube. When you get to taste how good the vapor is without the 'trick' of water that other vapes don't have, you become even more impressed with the base unit. The HydraTubes are cool, but the base unit is where the magic is happening.

I'm gonna start running dry more often. The only thing I will say negatively about the dry tube is that because of its shape (like an old phonograph) when holding the cloud upright it feels a bit awkward when drawing. Of course this is my opinion and I am sure I'll get past it considering how much I enjoy the cloud. Now as far as what sticks says about the water I am finding exact opposite. Since my transition to the cloud being my go to vape I am noticing my water getting shitty and full of goobers much faster than any other vape. I assumed this is a good thing. It shows that the cloud extracts the shit out of my weed!

So I've been away a while and been on a break. I read through a good dozen pages or more of posts just now. Am I hearing that current models shipping do not have the ticking noise so many were whining about at launch?

Early adopter pains! I'd love a silent one. I wonder what this forthcoming announcement is all about.

Just noticed the new 2.0 VXH HTs are stackable and come with a dry mouthpiece included. Pretty cool. Hydrafoot included too, bonus.

Well, the 50 dollar off coupon at Vapornation finally sold me. I was going to wait until the 18th for the Cloud Plus announcement but I think I will be perfectly content with this model. I can't wait for it to arrive. I have a lot to read up, especially this two-cap method you all talk about. Here's to fucking combustion.

When sending the cloud in for warranty would it be best to have it sent in its original packaging or something else entirely ?

I have both used the original and then used USPS priority box also. Conversely, I have received a USPS box once from VXH for a return Cloud. As long as you securely pack it and FOLLOW the instructions given by VXH, (I always take out insurance on the package as well), it doesn't make a difference.

I'm curious if something is an issue for an international (Canada at this point) customer who requires warranty on their Cloud. Since ABV dust can get into the bamboo (mine collected at the bottom glass washer), this obviously REQUIRES a fill of ISO in the bamboo before shipping cross border. My question is how "risky" is this? I mean you can only get the Cloud "so clean", and even with diligence, it's extremely difficult to get it "as new". I'm just wondering if it's no big deal, or since it's crossing the border, would some of you just not take the chance? Surely some will be able to get it cleaner than others and i'm just wondering what the ramifications of this at customs could be.
This got buried. I think it's pretty important to address, as this could mean no warranty for any international customers, unless you are willing to take a huge risk. Not sure how "sensitive" customs are to a baked resin ring, or ABV etc.

I'm not sure if this is a 'cleaning technique' question or a 'government regulations' question. How long until you have to clean and send your unit in?

It was just hypothetical, and I now realize this question relates to basically all vaporizers that must cross borders, not just the Cloud so I apologize and rescind.
