Arizer Solo

Just had my first session with the Ehle 250ml, gong adapter and the Solo. It was different than what i thought it would be. I had it on setting 4, thinking about building up to 7..But i actually had to go back to 3 LOL!

The hits at 4 where HUGE! A lot bigger than i am used to with the stock stem. I didn't want to get really really baked, just a little. I plan on trying this on higher temps with sativa dominant strains. Any recommendations? :ko:

The next bowl i will try to put the stock stem directly in the downstem. I will report after that

edit: The bong is great by the way. :D The quality is better than i expected. And i never would have guessed what downstem i needed. The diffused stem is awesome! Thanks @vorrange and the other person who helped me!

:peace:
I'm thinkin of getting an EHLE unit to use with my solo, I wanna get the gong attachment as well.. One question I have is, does the ehle come with a diffused downstem or is that sold separately? Also is the 250mL size good enough to use with the solo?

Whatever the aroma is, it seems much lighter than combusted weed and dissipates quickly, and it doesn't seem to cling to my clothes like burmt herb does.
All I know is a friend on a motorcycle next to mine at a stoplight could smell pot coming from my way on my motorcycle. Pot smells. If you don't want smell, use a 1-hitter/bat and exhale out a window. Or make edibles. If it is being converted via temperature/flame, there is going to be a smell. Trying to pretend that it doesn't smell like pot is just pretending. As the moderator mentioned, if others are not to smell you, don't smoke/vaporize, or go outside.

This is only my experience, but prior to 'fuck combustion,' I used a bat/one-hitter when using the good stuff and an open window. Takes about 10-15 minutes for the smell to go away.

With the solo, I use the same material and don't open the window anymore(not nec). In five minutes or less the smell is gone...Honestly, I can't tell what the smell is right after, even though I know! As others have already stated, vaping technique etc. may play a part in this...but maybe this will help someone regarding smell.

Edit: I'm not talking insane sessions, generally I'm taking in about two stems worth or lesss.

I just asked my wife, who is a non-smoker/vaper, what she thinks of the smell. Her reply: "it smells like skunky salami".
Lol. Wth.

I know from experience that I am the worst judge of how much weed smells when i am consuming.

^^good point...I will shut the f up on the smell. Only one person in the house has a keen sense of smell and she is cool with it--doesn't even notice. My allergies do throw my sense of smell off so... Vaping works well enough for me to get no complaints. I guess I should leave it at that so as not to sound more like an idiot:doh:

My girlfriend says it smells. It doesn't stick to me except on my face, and the smell dissipates quickly from wherever I'm vaping at. I vape at 3 to 5.

I suppose I vape a lot more then you all then. Cause when i go in a store or meeting someone I am almost always questioned by people I know. I will say an empty solo will not smell at all compared to every other portable I have. To me the only reason for no smell is cops and non smoking hotel rooms. I suppose you can add airports. Everyone else can take a flying leap.

My girlfriend says the only way she tell if I vaped is my breath, as for smell of the actual unit the vape case is airtight and completly smell proof

I bought mine from www.head-nature.com (europe) and they sold the downstem seperately. I only had one session with the bong, but i am quite happy with the size! I am not a glass expert at all, so there will probably be more comfortable methods, but this works great for me.

I hope i answered your questions. If not, don't hesitate to ask again.

Great shop, much choice! Feeling like a kid in a candy store browsing that one!!! LOL
But I didn't find any SOLO on there!!! Wondering why that is????

Here is what I received from Arizer for the issue where you try to charge you get
one light solid and lights 2 and 3 flicking. The green light is not on but if you play
around with it. Pushing both arrows simultaneously you can get it to reset and work
correctly.

Looks much like the e-mail they sent me, so I think they use standard mails for that.
Having had similar problems with my, since expired, M107.
Some lights, I think #1, #2 and #3 and the blue light kept blinking all the time and I wasn't able to charge anymore.
With me the problem persisted, even got worse, so I wasn't able to reset the unit successfully

What the real cause of all this was I still don't know but I will be trying to find out.

I suspect there was a problem with the circuitry board.

Still I think that Arizer's Service is one of the better ones out there.

Had a fortune of owning 2 new slick silver solos...sold one to a friend of mine...got a text from him saying he is really satisfied! hopefully he will quit smoking soon enough...its a progress he says...I really want to retail the solo to our country medical cannabis crowd...the solo is the just perfect for medical usage since it can be used anywhere and anytime and has a very pair price... unlike one Spanish product... ;)

So ordering my solo today just a few questions. Does it come charged? If the battery dies or has a little charge left can i charge it overnight or is that bad for it and I should wait to unplug it when it's done.

Also any accessories I should order with it? I'm thinking to get an eds tnt wood stem but what else is good. Maybe water filtration?

it does not come charged. You need to charge it fully when you get it, then run it at 7 for a couple of cycles to burn off the chemical smell. Charging overnight is ok, and I always leave it plugged in when I'm not using it. Best not to let the lithium ion battery run down all the way. Get some 1/2 inch screens. and get a grinder if you don't already have one. Up to you about the wooden stems. Some people like me prefer the glass stock stems. the stock stems will fit pretty well into a 14mm down stem.

What is a cycle? A 12 minute session? Also would a gong adapter be necessary or can I just attach the wood stem to a piece? And are screens necessary? How often should i change them out.

yes he means two 12 min sessions... on 7. just let it go until it shuts off by itself.

gong adapter is nice if you have the funds, but you can make the stock stems work with glass pretty easily and cheaply.

screens are not necessary, but i do prefer them. the Solo stems have a glass screen built into them, but the holes are kinda large for my liking. popping a screen in there seems perfect to me. regarding changing the screen... just change it when it starts to clog up. or when the airflow is restricted from the screen. you will know when its time to change it. all depends on how much you use.

I just did a session with the Ehle 250ml, diffuser downstem and a stock stem (14mm).
For now i actually like this better than the Gong, because i do not have to use the 14 to 18mm adapter which occasionally stays stuck to the Gong when i try to clear it. Now i just pull out the stock stem and inhale :).

This makes me think i might have to buy the 14mm adapter at some point. For now this will work fine though.

edit: Heat setting 3 is my preference. I guess i'm not much of a cloudchaser?
I love the taste you get with the lower heat settings, and it is much smoother. 0,10 gr. (1 stem) gets me nicely baked for a couple of hours.

Yea I'm the same way I prefer setting 3 and will get many many hits out of a half packed stem. I'm gonna get some glass soon to use with the solo, I'm Syked.

That is my usual Solo setup, i don't have a gong adapter yet and it works just fine IMO.

With water i go to 7 most times, but i usually start at 2 just the same, although occasionaly i start at 4.

But with dry sessions i maintain level 2 for as long as vapour is coming, much longer lasting taste and much smoother with the throat.

Some time ago I got some spare standard stems from Vaposhop in Holland, in case I would break my old one.
Today however I found that the new ones are quite loose in the unit, the old one was fitting much tighter.
I like the tight one and I am afraid the loose one might just not work properly.

So that made me want to ask how your stems are fitting and your thoughts on this.

Well they are hand blown so maybe you just got a tiny one, or not a "real" one maybe. I would hate to have one that loose. Mine end up that way but then I fix the ring which I am about to do now. If you can switch it since it wasn't used go for it. Menz switched his gong attachment cause it was loose.

Indy if you ever find out about that issue with the lights I want to know as well. You know that was the issue I had with my first solo. I keep putting off writing to Randy to see if he ever found out but my guess is he didn't.

I surely will let you know Dreamerr, I am pretty curious myself to know what caused it.
I am going to ask if they keep track of it, I had it well documented with pics, also the serial number, so they will be able to trace it.

BTW I had a couple of the new ones and all have the same problem.
I'm going to try with Vaposhop if they will take them back or replace for ones with a better fit.
Having them send back will cost almost as much as the price of 2 so that isn't very economical. LOL
