it is a great party/ multiple user/ newb user vape. more than anywhere else this is the volcano's niche imho. 'specially w/ the easy valve system. def. made it a whole new 'cano for me.

just got my vxh cloud today. went cheap. found a momentary coupon, went w/out hydratube and got it under 4 bills. easily spent 6 on my 'cano digit, travel bag extra bags/ pads, etc. see myself spending at least another bill on accessories for my cloud. def. is the top end pair for personal and public use, imho.

both can be water filtered, give tasty hits, but the 'cano is definitely better at serving many without worrying about the safety of your gear in anyway.

Anyone know of a cover for the volcano? Wantto keep dust out of it while its out on my bar.

The SSV is my main "go to" vape for quality medicating.
People seem to learn first time, because I NEVER show more than one person at a time
I use a Volcano with visitors for this exact reason also... when there are more than on.... but please...
do not harbor any impression that you will use less meds, sharing with guests in a volcano.
When I have visitors that do fully understand the SSV, I use about 1/2 of the meds that I use with same number of visitors at the "bag" of my volcano.
I love my Volcano and I use it almost daily... but it is not conservative on my meds.

I got myself a roll of bag material (the one to remake the solid valve system) and used it to make a new easy valve bag. Easy enough.

I made a bag about half the size of the standard bags, a little less. Cute little bag that holds 1 drag. And it's fun to use! I'm about to make some more of the same size for party use. It's perfect for a more "on the fly" way of using it.

I also vape e-cigs, I've combusted 'till about 4 months ago and quit smoking both tobacco and MJ at the same time. I went on with their counterparts in vaping. Also, I always used tobacco in my joints. So I really enjoy combining the two and with the little bags it's seems to be easier and more enjoyable. (bag..e-cig..bag..e-cig..e-cig..bag.bag...)

I like the way a joint with tobacco doesn't instantly hit you in the way a pure MJ joint or a full on vape session does. It makes it easier to dose for me.

I'm sure a YMMV is in place. But still wanted to share my experience.

I did that for the first couple of years, but went back to standard sized bags, when I realized:
1- How much more herb I was using
2- the length of time the vapor stayed in the bag made a direct correlation to how fast the bag became tacky, and yellowed and "gluey"
So...
I went back to regular sized bags and more fillings, to keep the vapor fresh, and extend life of each bag.

Doesn't just keep it fresher, smaller bags/quicker use of vapor means you don't lose as much to condensation. With large bags I've also found myself at times not wanting/needing any more vapor at all, and no one around to take the excess vapor off my hands. A couple of times I've even said 'the hell with it' when there's been vapor left in the bag.

I use very little quantity very dispersed in the chamber and very very well grinded into dust. I fill my arm-and-some-long bag at 6,5 and I fill the bag. I get all the vapors by adjusting quantities and power so my bags are like coffe: all the substances toguether in a mix. It usually takes me 5-10 minutes to end a bag fair enough time.

When I use a bong I use even less matter on dial 9 and I fill an easy valve bag. I get 3 hits of great density power and taste but it needs water to soften a little.

With little quantity you dont get an instant shotgun but you can make out the most of the herbs sacrifycing the less of the taste. Dosifying is easier and the more you disperse and grind herbs the more efficient this thing is.

The quantity I use is like half solo bowl for bong hits and a solo bowl for big bags. I have never had problems with bags getting dirty I change them every 3 months or so and they always get broken and have escapes (I store them in a tight place so there is much movement of them) but bags are very cheap (I use the solid valve ones).

Got my cano out yesterday. It was very cold outside and my volcano didn´t properly vaporize. Which is the minimal temperature this thing works?

You sure you waited long enough?
Did it not make it to the temp you set it at? (As in it kept heating and the light just didn't go out.)

From experience I know you can use it at temps just above 0°C. I don't know about lower temps.

But I guess that as long as the heater makes it to the temp needed it shouldn't change performance that much.

Feel free to correct me if I'm way out there...

My starting point is 363f and i go up in increments of 10 until i hit the fourth and last bag at 395f.

I left it on on dial 9 for hours but there was like 4 degrees an much wind so the cano did not properly vaporize

If that was 4°C I don't see why that should happen, maybe the wind changes that, I don't know. But I've used it at 4°C before and got the same results as normal.

I'm shure it takes the heating ellement (a bit) longer to heat to the desired temp. but if and when it gets there it should be able to heat the 4°C air almost as good as 20°C. It does seem to have quite the thermal capacity. (takes a long time to cool down) Next week is going to be cold again, gonna give it a test.

Only thing to me that could be a problem is using bags that are too big making them cool down too much before emptying, leaving the good stuff sticking to the bag.


Please do correct me if my logic is faulty.

Nothing wrong with your logic, can't agree more with the bags part

Just add the temperature drop factor, the cold air pumped through the heating block is slightly refreshing it. That may not be such a huge deal with the volcano but I vaped in extreme cold with my MV and I felt that the temperature was dropping slightly when I was hitting it.

The device works more, the temperature may not be as stable as the ripple is going up
