Arizer Solo

I started out with a Magic Launch Box then on to the SOLO.
The guy at the smoke shop sold me on the PERSEI that had just been released.
Since I have learned a lot about batteries, voltage, ohms and maH.
The TERMOVAPE is a nice unit as well.
My gear is DELTA NINE Based so it is easier to stay with this format.
The same with the SOLO.
For me the focus needs to be on the proper medicine once you find your method of medication.

OT, but I also use Omi carts on the Alpha Ultra base.

I may be retiring my Solo for home use for a little while. It'll still be my go-to vape in the car before ______ vape.

It's a close race. They both have their uses for me. I don't think you'll see my Solo in the classifieds any time soon.

How about taste? I totally see where you are getting at, i feel the same with my WW but i still prefer it over the Solo in hit easiness and taste.

FRIDAY FACTOID!

You may know this, but... the protective stem tubes that PV sells are actually 2 liter bottles before they are heated and expanded! google baby soda bottle. Available in bulk. I put a cotton ball or 2 at the bottom so that stems do not rattle around in them and a battery cap on a loaded stem. they kick ass when on the go!

Hi,

I have had my Solo for about a month now, and just can't seem to get good vapor from the thing. I have scoured various forums and threads, and have tried various things such as using a screen, packing loose and packing tight, drawing slowly (it is very difficult to suck on this thing - I'm out of breath and my mouth hurts from sucking so hard). I also make sure the glass stem is all the way in, and I can move it around a bit for easier drags, but I am not getting the results that everyone else seems to be getting, and I do want to love this thing and don't want to give up on it. I don't think I have a defective unit, as the glass stem is very hot after each draw, and I do get some vapor. The temperature seems good, as does the battery. I am thinking it is user error, but I don't know what else to do (I just ordered a PHVES straigh shorty from PV, and am hoping that will help, but I haven't received it yet). Here is what I usually do: grind my flowers fairly fine (but not powder) and loosely pack the stem the whole way, turn on the solo to temp 5, insert the stem completely, wait a minute, then slowly inhale on the stem. I usually turn it upside down. My results are consistently weak vapor and a very mellow high. If anyone has some good tips and tricks for getting good vapor results, I would be indebted. Thanks!

Is there a another legit site other than puffitup? They are seeing if they can price match but I want a backup incase they can't. If not there is always a bunch of sellers on eBay.

No clue bro, sounds exactly like what I do [sometimes i dont even fine grind] and I get a lot of vapor still.

Maybe try a higher temp setting and see what it does for you?

I have tried it at temp level 7, with still weak results, and the vapor tastes even more "cooked". Do you have a difficult time getting draws from the stem, as I find it very difficult to the point where my mouth hurts. I have good lung capacity, and can inhale for about 30 -45 seconds before I have take in some air because I'm sucking so hard. I have emailed Arizer, and am waiting for a response.

Yes I had that problem before, does your stem have the 4 holes?

What happened was, I ordered Eds wooden stem, and his stainless bowl stretched my o rings a little bit, so now my glass stem is looser and it hits hard.. with ease i can get clouds.

u might want to try Eds wooden stem because the stem itself has very good air flow..

And also i dont suck really hard through the stem, i kind of put my lips on it and inhale with my lungs, almost like sipping it/breathing the vapor in.

You're pulling too hard. You might think you're inhaling slowly but if it makes your mouth hurt then you're definitely pulling too hard. This is killing your vapour production.

Try inhaling as gently as possible then increasing how hard you draw until you start feeling resistance. Back off a little and that's how hard you should pull.

The cheapest i've seen is $140 on eBay, but as far as I know PIU has the best deal...I can actually save $$$ buying from PIU over PV due to no tax.

Breathe in through your nose, also you can add a bit of cotton to the stem to restrict draw.
But I don't want to restrict draw, as this is one of the issues I'm having (restricted draw). My stem has 4 holes, and I have tried it with and without a screen, and it just about the same. I appreciate all the feedback so far, and I haven't given much thought to "how" I'm drawing on the stem, so I will try to relax a little and pull gently. Also, I should be receiving, any day now, a PVHES straight shorty, that I'm hoping will make a difference.

I dunno man, once up to heat I found I could pull as hard as I could and holy shit i'd blow out some monster clouds. But I always tilt/manipulate the stem to get decent airflow IMO.

Could it be a problem with the tolerances of the stems? Too big/tight? I dunno, this just doesn't make any sense to me...you're doing everything right.

Yea it is all about pulling slowly.. Pakalolo do you live on the islands?

The solo has quite a restricted draw. I find that the best technique for me is to hit it much like one hits a cigar. Little puffs using the cheeks and then inhale. Imagine drinking a very thick milk shake.
