"Why do you feel like you need a wispr?" : because it exists  no mainly for the fuel window and a larger tank for butane plus a deeper bowl for longer sesh, i havnt used the i0 till its run out yet it but its awsome how it keeps on running untill you either shut it off or it runs out of fuel. so far 1/2 bowl lasts around 7 minutes and a full bowl lasts around 15 mins till its completely vaped. all the materiel comes out very even in color and pretty dark brown but not blackened at all. but as for the question in being i like how the io looks over the wispr but the wispr does have a couple advantages imo

yeah, I think the wispr has a nice design. The only thing I don't like about the Iolite is that once you start a session, you're pretty much in it the whole way, since your flowers will cook whether you're hitting it or not. That's one advantage of the MFLB. You can hit it and quit it and then hit it again later. Enjoy your Iolite. It has never failed me yet. I also like that I can use the same size screens for the Iolite and the Solo. I've found it makes a big difference in the Iolite keeping the screens clean.

I got my V2 IO for 100$. And those grinder cards look fresh. I have a Chunky V Syndicate card I found that you if done the right way, one can achieve very fluffy finely ground nug, even finer then with some grinders, I use it on top of a playing card to retain all the keif.

For all those you that have an Eclipse H2O and an IO, or really any whip vape for that matter, either one of the little tubes that come in kit make excellent mouth pieces.

well i guess my aromazap isnt out of the picture yet lol. i hate when your low on material and cant do more testing of a unit but im fairrly patient not really xD i tried about 1/4 bowl on the io but it doesnt really shine unless its 1/2 or even all the way full but i dont have enough to do that tonight. with heat up time i got 2-4 good hits off a very small bowl but this thing is really meant to hold more material. i do like using the unit inside even though i have a few other better alternatives for small loading, i.e hammer or zap. i can't wait to do some outdoor sessions and sharing to see how this fairs on the go and with other people. i love being outside its so nice sometimes. it was rather cold today though, i hate the cold  but in short this unit isnt at its best performance if the bowl is less than 1/3 full but it rocks when its jam packed :buzz:

Thats true, but the bowl is pretty small.

I took everything out of mine and just put a screen in. It made the bowl bigger by almost a .1 and seems to make the airflow much nicer. I recently lost my optimizer and honestly can't tell the difference. There is a noticeable difference between the v1's and the v2's though, and not just the sticker on the front. And I would have to agree that it does work best when it's full, and has anyone tried packing into the heating chamber and then pull the bowl on? Instead of doing it the other way around, it's a bit more of a hassle but I think it might lead to better airflow and less clogging on the screen whence you remove the material.

* me too.. i always kind of wanted to but once my original screen got too damaged from the spike i took it out and put a screen in there all the way.. i actually use 2 fine ones.. a easy to remove one.. and one c-clipped in all the way at the back... i have to agree that i like it better like that..
* i like mine full too.. i just suck it in to the mouth piece but never pack it.. i almost always fill it though w/ pretty dry fine grind.. it hits more satisfying for me.

I do think that the Iolite, like most vaporizers, is somewhat sensitive to grind, though not as fine as for the MFLB. you want to expose a good amount of surface area to the air passing through the chamber. I only have V2, so I can't make a comparison. I've tried filling the bowl first and it's a bit more difficult to attach the heating chamber. One thing I've tried with reasonable success just to avoid the hassle of filling a bowl on the go was to make little aluminum foil bullets and pack them with herb. The little spike in the bowl goes right through the aluminum and into the herb and seems to heat it well enough to vape. The abv afterward looks equally toasty

I'm guessing you've tried the optimizer? It seems it woud serve the same function. And the v2 seems to function better, I'm pretty sure that they put the new lighting system that the WISPR has. It also seems to use more butane and get a little hotter, I'm basing that off size of the hits I can get with this one. The v2 has also ignited almost every time on the first time other then literally a handful of times, that was the only problem I had with the v1.

I used the Optimizer once, and never cared for it, though I love my Iolite.
I put the optimizer in about once a month to double check that maybe there could be a plus to it~

i acually just tried the optimizer and also have a few times since i recieved the io. everyone has their own opinion and mine was bad and opinions sometimes turn to actions, either way i threw it into the water lol. it acually decreses the performance of the device imo, hits were always much cloudier without it and i found out why in my theory. it blocks the bottom of the chamber restricting the airflow  where it doesnt go freely through ALL of the material. ive done enough testing of the optimizer and all the material comes out undervaped with it in the io. using the io exactly how it comes out of the box material turns a even dark brown throughout and gives good cloudy hits mid-session :2c: also the moisture condenser decreases the performance of the device as well, not even sure why its included still but im used to hot things so hot vapor never irritates my mouth. they havnt made any major changes since the i-inhale in over 5 years other than an upgraded catalytic converter ,so they must be doing something right with this product

thanks to the previous members that gave instructions as to how to replace the piezo igniter. Was able to rob one from a grill starter and the replacement unit is now going again. Bought a Hammer before I fixed it, so now I have a back up. Think it might be a good combination, a quick one hitter type and a long session type.

I am giving my Iolite away to a friend. I don't use it that much these days, and i will still get to use it this way :). This was my first vape and i was always very happy with it and still am. But i am sure i will buy one of the new generation portables this year and there's no real need for me to have it.

I hope it will get him to at least see how enjoyable vaping is!

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
I gave my Iolite away this weekend.

Well, actually one of my "friends" stole it from my car door panel while we were camping. It kind of blows actually. :(

sorry to ask if it's been asked before but can i put hash/charis in an iolite?

haha me too

Ive read multiple times users recommending putting it in a container/cup to 'stealth' smoke.

Would this cause the unit to over heat? Are paper cups safe or should I stick to metal to avoid melting and fumes.

As long your 'covering' isn't touching the unit you should be OK. Even with a paper cup you could poke some holes in it for ventilation and you'd be fine. When using in a cup, with the stem/mouthpiece as a straw, what you need to watch out for is putting too much strain on the stem where it connects to the herb chamber.

Actually, it's a very nice option as a pocket portable. I've owned one since they first hit the market. Saying it blows may be your opinion, but you'll need to say it nicer in the future, since we have a rule against product/company bashing.

I think he meant that having one of his "friends" steal it from him blows, not that the Iolite blows. :)
