ive been seeing alot of $150 da buddha vaporizers on ebay for free shipping, im guessing theres no warranty with that

Ok here is the deal. I spent about a month looking and researching for a vape. Most of that time was on FC (thanks!)! So I did go with a eBay seller. Total was 169 with free shipping. Came with everything! Just no grinder as I already bought from gratefulbuys years ago. I wasn't worried at that time about a warranty. I received it stupid fast and it worked wonderfully! The problem I ran into was about a month later. Everyone knows the wand does get stubborn from time to time. Mine was a little stuck...so I ever so gently tried to twist and I heard a pop. The weld inside that held the heater chamber popped. It was actually pinch braze that popped. If you go back a page here you will see my post about my DBV. I followed my fellow members advice and called them. First off I heard about the horror stories about the customer service at 7th floor. So I was dreading sending it in not knowing when I was getting it back. I called and talked with Analise who was very sweet and helpful with my problem. She informed me that I could easily replace this part after hearing me out. All she said she needed was a reciept showing when I bought the item. I emailed her pictures, address, and reciept of my eBay purchase. This was a Saturday at 2pm. On the following Tuesday I recieved the part! Now I didn't want to be without my DBV and after looking in the DBV after taking the bottom off and troubleshooting I knew what I was dealing with. Within 15 mins with my old man we had it fixed and vapeing! So yes you get a warranty but to what extent I'm not sure but to me I'd buy from them regardless. If your a responsible adult that takes care of your items go for it. To me they are a awesome company that I would move to Denver to work for them! Hope this helps!

I sent an email to 7th floor some days ago regarding warranty. I was asking whether cutting the cord and replacing the plug (so i don't have to use a converter everytime) will void the warranty. Does anybody here know this as I haven't received a response from 7th floor.

It's a 220v unit of course so i'm not worried there.

SO HAPPY! Woke up this afternoon to a package on my doorstep. Two new mini whips!!!! I dealt with Da Buddha original glass all week and it was ok, but the mini whip with the SSV type HC is DA BOMB! Gonna get all vaked and go do laundry.

Cluffy, I took your advise and ordered me one of these. I will let you know and thank you later. :peace:

Do you need to have an SSV style heater cover for the mini whips to work with DBV? I have a DBV on the way with some dome screens but these mini whips sound nice.

Of the 5 mini whips I just received only 2 fit decently into the DBV HC. Sorry, but you may have to do a little sanding on the lip of the wand to get a good fit. I would think that one could find an 18mm GonG fitting that would essentially make the DBV HC work like the original SSV HC, but a quick web search turned up nothing. Still the best bet would be to take your DBV HC to a glass blower and have them make you an SSV type HC the same size. It's still too bad 7th Floor won't make them anymore, but I guess I can see why. I said it before, if (Heaven forbid!) my SSV type HC ever breaks I'll have to bite the bullet and buy an SSV. Hands-free is not for me.

cluffy,
Placed my order for Da Buddha this morning through Vaporizers.ca
Sent my money around 7am and the shipment has already been sent.
They've been great to deal with so far and I can't to receive this thing!

I've dabbled with vapes at parties but this will be my own personal baby. :D

I see these posts by cluffy and wonder what I'm missing...
But the regular connection has no complaints from me.
Did you have hot spots or something using the regular one?

Or just like the concentrated stream where you have to move it around?

The main reason I like non hands free is that it's just easier for me to take one hit at a time and stir between hits. With the hands free I found that if I left the wand in the HC the load would eventually just get cooked. I didn't like having to connect and disconnect the GonG connection. Plus I like the hands on experience of moving the wand around and being able to clear the tube after each hit. The hands free works for me, but I just prefer my mini whip and the SSV type HC. Oh yeah, and it's easier to control the draw speed as there is a smaller airway in the mini whip.

It's kind of like the difference between smoking one-hitters in a bong compared to a big party bowl.

that's cool. i actually take the ground class connection out each time, to clear it and to stir, when i use it. I just put it in loosely to begin with.

I could see it being especially nice for the mini whip maybe, i did try those out, but thought maybe it was too constricted airflow, maybe i'll give it another shot, if i can dig up the mini whip.

I take out the GonG wand in-between hits to clear the whip as well, and haven't had any problems. I like it better than the SSV setup since I don't have to hold it while taking a hit, and I can leave it in for extended sessions if other people are over. It's especially nice for a vapor bong setup since you only have 2 hands :brow:

I also cut off my whip to like half a foot versus the original 3 feet. I find this helps a lot with a vapor bong setup as less tubing = faster milking

My Da Buddha came today and I just got a chance to test it out, I love it! I got arizer dome screens to improve efficiency but haven't triem them yet. This thing seems pretty efficient to me even without it! Thanks for all the information that led to my purchase!

yes, the dbv is more efficient than smoking even without the dome screen. just different level of efficiency with dome screen for people who have a hard time finding herb and really into conservation. and remember that the dome screen becomes easier to remove from the wand (hence easier to 'get stuck' in the hc) after a few times of removal/insertion as the steel is 'moldable'. so while the dome screen is in the wand, just press the screen 'outward' to 'enlarge' it. this will increase it's stickiness to the wand.
