Discontinued ThermoVape Revolution for concentrates

The heating core in my revolution blew :( and now I can not find a replacement from Thermovape. Is there another 6v vape cart for wax?

Funny, I blew my LV DART's heater the other night, I'm taking it back (I'm local) for a free rebuild. Why don't you do the same? While the basic Revolution is out of production, TV retained service parts to support the existing ones in service.

Well OK, not funny, but you know what I mean I hope.

Otherwise, the only other option I know of is Hercules, which probably would call for a battery change to get to 7.4 Volts and of course a thread adapter. Right now it has some issues, including a chronic leak at the base, all being worked on.

My advice is to have your Revolution repaired?

Like I said, $15 and shipping for "as good as new" :)

Or free (which is a better price, really....one of my personal favorites in fact) if it's less than a year old (which most are).....

Are you sure it's totally fried?

$15 and an email to TV can have your core re-built :)

Also check to make sure you have properly-charged batteries... It may be that your batteries are weak enough not to get it to the temps, but strong enough to warm up the core a bit. Freshly-charged batteries, re-seat the switch/Rev, engage and feel f it gets warm at all by the threading.

We covered the rebuildable core already rig-

Ahaha, OF pulls through last second and wins by a (very) small fraction.

See, my LV DART is still kicking ass... And kicking mine right now ;)

Might cry and rock back and forth in the fetal position if mine were to die. I'm gentle with her, but still...

Speaking of ceramic, I decided to do some dart cleaning today and on my newest model (#05004) after the usual iso then boil and then oven at 175 I put it on my alpha ultra and fired the core to check for cleanliness. Still black ceramic on top. After a 15 second battery pulse, than another 10 I let off and just could hardly see the side vent window where you can see the orange glow of the heater underneath. Decided to Put the mouthpiece ontop and try to puff off the rest of what was contained in the ceramic. After another 20 second or so battery pulse while inhaling hard I was puffing out a bunch of clean tasting vapor getting every bit out of the ceramic. No bad tastes.
I pulled off the mouthpiece and noticed a sort of "cherry glow" in the ceramic and it seemed to spread the more I inhaled. Sort of like the cherry effect in a vaporizer when the load inside combusts. This heating while after a basic clean and puffing hard like a cigar made the heater burn up every little speck of black carbon on my beautiful dart. It is now white and clean as a whistle.
I was thinking maybe after the iso/boil/bake step and then the 20/20/20 we could employ some sort of pump to keep steady air movement from the heater through the ceramic. Thought I'd share. :2c:

Thanks Kush. I'll try this during my next Dart cleaning. Prolly not until I get my CERA though (LOL).

I think the Evolution, if you can find one, was designed for that. I've seen some on Ultras, apparently using up a lot more juice from the battery so you only get about a load a batt.

Yes, both T1 and Evolution do that quite well, but they're out of production. T1 needs to be run with the optional glass top and no heat core body but it works well. Both take a lot of power (30 and 20 Watts respectively).

Some used ones are drifting around.

i have been using the plastic tube, that my dart came in, to soak my dart in everclear. this has worked well. but today i used iso and it ruined the plastic. turned it white and the bottom end popped out.

i liked that tube for everclear soak because it only used a cap full.

excuse my ignorance, but i am unaware of the bake step in your cleaning regimen. can you elaborate?

ive just been doing the ISO and boil... what am i missing?
I believe that he throws his dart in the oven at low temp to speed up the drying time. Some also use a heat gun. I've used the same 'syringe pump' that I use to iso wash, but dry, to blow air through the dart to dry it quickly before 20/20/20. Hope this clears up any confusion

oh i see. thanks!

i may give this a shot, but usually 24 hours and a 20/20/20 is enough to get the water out.

huh thats weird because they quoted me $16.75 in a invoice.. Although it still works, just will not get clean anymore and the ceramic needs replaced. I guess that doesn't count as a free service huh? lol

I'm fairly certain a free rebuild is the least they could do considering he is one of the beta testers for their Cera (one of very very few, I might add...) and took tons of input from him.

Rebuilds are $15, I think $1.75 for taxes/shipping? Dunno if it was ever $15 flat but that number was/is thrown around a lot. A buck and three quarters more isn't too much... I'd spend more on gas just getting to the damn post office

If it's working normally, I agree it's likely not covered under warranty as a failure in service. Remember, mine has failed, it does not get hot (and is clean now so I can take it back). FWIW I think the '$15 plus shipping' rebuild deal is a great offer, rebuilding them (including the new hand made heater) is not trivial. Given the labor and overhead I strongly suspect they 'loose money' with the service but it's part of the deal agreed to at purchase.

Thanks for the kind words, but I don't expect (nor think I'll get) any special treatment with my DART. As I said, it's a failure and less than a year old. I'm a simple customer, like others I'm hoping to get 'while you wait' service in person. No, make that 'expecting to get'?

Same as Sleepy96 points out, a 'special factory cleaning' of an otherwise working unit I'd expect to pay for (although I'd expect to not pay for shipping if I was buying the gas and looking over their shoulder while they did the work......as you suggest).

Whatever, I expect first rate Customer Support from TV. Let's remember Noah said they 'lost' the $15,000 set aside to cover 'loaners' and other advances that never came back. It seems, predictably, lots of folks weren't all that good about returning the stuff they agreed to (much like the MFLB experience I guess).

No, no, I meant it as a kind gesture rather than an owed favor, unless blown cores are covered if it has a 1y warranty. I didn't imply you're preferred over me or anyone else that owns a product, as I'm confident they'll treat me as well as any other customer. Sorry if it came off that way...

Sad to see such wonderful companies get used that way when they're trying to provide a huge convenience to a customer that they don't even really have to provide :/

How often do you DART users refill? I always hear OF chime in and say small and often, but I seem to put in a little bit bigger than a bb, maybe 3 bb's fused together size and a new battery and it feels like it lasts all day or am I just crazy? :tinfoil: I've never ever once had a leak, and I tend to load more and less often.. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things using these revolutions again. A hit for me is 5 second heat up, 5 second hit. On a new battery I always loose count before the battery dies or I can even reload, the clouds just keep coming, and never taste stale. If the clouds stop a new battery usually brings them back even without a reload of oil. I need to sit here with a glob of concentrate, a fresh battery, and pen and paper to tally my hits. anyone ever do this? Next I need to get into the swing of tinctures, for more descrete dosing for my nausea and appetite for my new job. Thanks for your time! Much appreciated FC.

good question. id like to hear more about this also.

my EO is usually too viscous (similar to your pic above) to roll it into a BB. i just scoop it up with the Dart, but id say its usually about 1/3 less than what a BB would be maybe 1/2 the amount of other users BBs. from that i get anywhere from 4 to 8 solid rips (depending on size) followed by a 1 or 2 more faint pulls.

no leaks here either. not once. and i like the idea of taking notes while using it. i may do an experiment myself once my rebuilt Dart gets back.

The two aren't mutually exclusive, and I can't answer if you're crazy or not. :) As far as the DART goes...

I only use PG (Pure Gold) in my DARTs, and I usually dose 3 drops when it's empty. Three drops of PG last me a l o n g time, at least ten BIG hits or so. I don't do all ten hits at once, but will usually do two or three, then put the DART back into my pocket. I can easily stay totally medicated all day and night (16 hours worth) with just two loads of PG. My batteries last many days, but I'm not using the Ultra battery holder. I have a tiny little box mod called the VariCool Beast that holds two of the Ultra batteries (14500 AW IMRs) which provide a constant voltage to the DART core while the batteries transition from fully charged to empty. (It's a wonderful thing).

I don't think the oil would leak out. Maybe if it's Pure Gold, or incredibly runny oil, but even then I'd have a bit of a time believing that even winterized (absolute?) oil would leak through with proper priming and use.

Most of the stuff I use can be handled with fingers (wax and shatter) so it's not too hard for me to load. I get my stuff in little containers or syringes if I want "honey" oil (from a company that has their own process that has a distinct taste to it, similar to how Pure Gold has that specific taste to it) so it's just a matter of poking with the DAbber. The biggest I've put was enough to cover the top ceramic, probably an actual airsoft BB sized bit, and it vaped majestically. Clouds for two sessions before they whisped away a little bit, and then a few weeks later I tried two pulls on it to see if there was anything left inside... and what would you know, there was enough in the ceramic reservoir to put my nausea on hold long enough to drive out to get some concentrate. Kind of an aside, but my favorite collective is now doing BOGO and delivery. I told the dude I was kinda far from it (which is true) but it turns out he lives 15 miles up the freeway from my house, he just said not to worry about it and gave me a new stamp card that has their number on the front side.

But it was nice to find that last bit of oil in there :)

I have to admit, I am very jealous of you guys who have access to pg. It sounds soo good! Unfortunately the state I'm in just passed mmj and still in the process of setting up the regs. So making my own is the only option. Luckily there are bomb flowers around my parts.

I usually load .15-.25 in my dart each time. My oil leans from shatter to hard sap depending on the strain. I do a 10 second warm up with a 30-45 second slow pull. Monster clouds! Typically I get 3-5 huge rips then reload. Once there is a slight change in taste it's a signal for me to top off.
