Put a few drops of water in the wand to coat it all and remove the excess water. Put in the freezer 5 minutes and scrape. Once it starts to melt the resin will stick together and the glass will be white transparent.

also, whats the reason why it seems darkbrow and oily on top and nearly white at the botom?

The reason there is no oil/wand hash on the tip is because no vapor travels through that area because the herb is further back, once the hot air meets the herb is when vapor is released.

Gotta try that! FWIW/I clean my wands every week or so. I would never vape with such a dirty wand.

I used to own a da buddha vaporizer that came with the bag and everything, but I gave it away as a gift. I recently bought another one used, but the design is slightly different (my old one featured a buddha on it).

I've noticed that with the first one I owned, the vapor looked more like clear white smoke. The bud also turns brown at a quicker but reasonable rate. It was great..

My new (but used) da buddha produces a blue smoke/vapor (not sure which) and the bud takes an uncomfortably long time to darken.

Anyone know why my new one is functioning differently? Also, would anyone happen to know the differences between a real da buddha and the fake chinese ones?

Wand hash is a wonderful thing,
Its a simple design, the appearance I was not fond of but it grew on me,
Strong draws or light draws depending on your preference,
Fast heat up,
Never failed me,

This is also pretty much true for similar quality vapes in its class. Awesome vape and one I am proud to own.

The original ones did not have a buddha on it. Mine does not. Also the heating element was changed so you may have an older one. I really do not know if or what any difference in performance between the two.

Im not sure about a blue vapor though but what happens when you adjust the temp up? Is it possible your setting it at the same temp position as your old vape and its performing different and that is the curiosity? If so understand that the temp settings are just likely set different. Their is no uniformity as far as I understand in the dial switches. So lets say 6 oclock turns it on on another Da Buddha it could turn on at 12 oclock or some other time. I wonder if that is what you are seeing?

The difference between a real Da Buddha vape could range from the fake having harmful materials to just being made with inferior materials designed to last for a short period of time to almost unlimited options.

If you mean as if to tell if it is a "genuine" Da Buddha vaporizer compared to a vape made to look like a Da Buddha I would ask that question to 7th floor. They may have some kind of mark somewhere or some kind of serial number that would not be faked. I dont really know but if I thought I maybe had a fake I would do that.

If your concerned you have bought a fake DBV made to look like a genuine DBV I believe you have an original DBV and for what it is worth I wouldnt trade mine for nothing. Though I vape with the Zephyr daily too. I believe 7th floor can put the issue to rest for you though.

Best of luck and hope that helped.

Ok i'll give that a shot!
Could i use the collected WH in edibles, or would vaping it be a better choice? I'd like to make vapor brownies again and i think this might spice them up quite a bit

quick tip for da buddha and im sorry if this has been said before, but if you just set a proportionate sized lamp shade on top of the DBV, when not in use of course, it just looks like some random lamp.

i havent had anyone ask yet at least... ;)

Time to replace my silicone whip tube. Would someone please post the proper inner and outer dimensions for the DBV whip and suggest an economical tubing outlet. Hate to be so lazy but there are so many brands (and I am a pothead)

1/2" OD - 3/8" ID

i think going straight through 7th Floor is the best. i say this because ive still yet to find the exact tubing they are using. everything i have found so far is not up to par with their tubing.

at less than a buck a foot its not marked up that bad.

UPDATE: Ordered 20 feet of clear and told 7th Floor their DBV site is still infected with malware. They are aware of it but encountered trouble trying to remove it.

It takes time for google to remove it from the system like that I think too. I saw this before and I think it was a like a 90 day window but I am speaking from memory so I am unsure of the facts but that is what I recall.

Hi. I just got a DBV (very excited, a huge upgrade from the VG). I love the hemp bag (the new one, not the pink zebra stripe), but my living situation is such that I need the smallest possible footprint; the bag is great, but "conversation piece" isn't what I need.

Sorry, didn't mean to break the rules. Just want to give the hemp bag away to a happy home.

Back to breaking in the DBV. Thanks for all of your great posts on this thread, it was a big part of my decision.

I was informed it's a little more complicated. :/

Hi. Should the wand be removed from the heater between hits, if you're using DBV solo? I have mine turned to about 1pm; I've been taking the wand out after each hit, but that seems like a pain. If it's just sitting in there without air being pulled through, is it still vaporizing, and so wasting THC? Any advice is appreciated.

i think that depends on your preferred temp. when used at the higher end you have to be careful not to burn your herb. for some reason i have found my setting to be too hot sometimes when the wand is left in for more than a few hits. but when i use it at a lower temp its seems ok. i subscribe to the method of starting at a low temp and turning the heat up as i get less potent hits.

but im also a firm believer in a good stir. when using my DBV solo i usually hit it 2 or 3 times and then stir. as it goes on ill stir between hits as the temp goes up.

This is why I prefer and recommend the ssv type HC with a mini-whip. Stir it up every time and no twisty turny in and out with the GG... I had issues with the hands free when I left it for too long. With the miniwhip it's always ready to go, but then I'm a hands-on type of guy...

A Legend in my Own Mind
My memory of this from another thread is foggy but the jist of it was that leaving it on the heat for 20 minutes or longer causes the herb to turn its THC into useless THC-A robbing you of it's potency. The longer it is heated the more of it converts. It is your decision... convenience vs. potency loss.

I remove the wand between hits. Even have routine exclusive to DBV how to hold whip/wand between rips.
OTH/I leave whip attached to EQV throughout session. I think of EQV as my sit down party vape and DBV as my stand up personal vape.
