Da Buddha

Hey Ladies and Gents,

Can anyone tell me how I might clean my buddha's glass heating element cover? It was lent out and returned with a horrible taste, even with perfectly clean glassware and screens.

Please help me FC Community...you're my only hope.

hi everyone,

its my first post, but i have been lurking for a while. I was looking for a healthy way to consume my herbs and got myself DaBuddha two weeks ago. First, I want to thank all you guys for your reviews and recommendations of the different vaporizers in this forum, which really helped me with my decision.
Me and my girlfriend are really enjoying DaBuddha and haven't combusted once since it arrived.

Now I want to get some acessoires for my DBV, like a connection for my bong and replacement wand (im a bit clumsy and will surely break it some day...) and tubing.
Does anyone know a good reseller in the EU (im in germany) for DBV acessoires? I have only found US-resellers and i'd like to save the shipping costs (+ maybe hassle with german customs). So if anyone knows a good reseller in EU, please let me know.Thank you guys and...

...happy vaping

hi freeman,

from the pics it looks like the "outer" size of the downstem (the part you connect to the bong) is 18.8 mm, but you put a 14.5 mm bowl in it, so i think the 14mm adapter should work.

Bought that sweet mini glass piece a couple weeks after the Buddha and it was the second smartest weed related purchase I've made. Never vape without it. Put a light up to the glass and you can see the bong milk up with vape.. it's awesome. Plus it catches all the shit that makes its way through the screen. edit: now the picture should work.

Did you try removing it yet? Mine comes off fairly easily with a firm but gentle twist and pull. Then you can ISO that bad boy.

GOOD LUCK!

CHEERS! I think your best bet would be to make one more order from 7th Floor and get an SSV type HC for your DBV.
"If you'd like an SSV heater cover for your DBV, just go ahead and order
an SSV heater cover on this page
http://www.silversurfervap.com/heater_covers.htm
When the comments box comes up just go ahead and request that we fit the
heater cover to your Buddha, and we will get that made for you as soon
as we can. This order will most likely take about 14 business days to
complete as our glassblowers have a large work load."

Then you could get your tubing and extra ground glass wand plus you'd have a heater cover that almost any wand would work with. As far as bong attachments can't you figure out a way to hook the tube to your bong? I used an old broken slide and it works fine.

Maybe if you call 7th Floor they can help you out with a German seller, their customer service is awesome but they are notoriously slow replying to emails ( I don't blame them, so am I!!!).

Hope I helped, I've got the week off and it's too hot to do much of anything besides get vaped and surf the net!

So I'll post my feelings after using the SSV cover for a few weeks. I've been mainly using the MFLB as to conserve herb, my grower is a few weeks out. But when I have been using my SSV/Buddha here is what I've found in my case...

1. The mini whip is awesome and fits the ssv cover great. You can get massive tokes off this thing. But... it clogs up in a day or two. I don't even want to attempt to get that screen out so I've simply been soaking the whole thing in iso every day or so to clean the screen. This sucks as I'm not able to collect wand hash. What are you all doing about the miniwhip and it getting clogged fast?

2. Using the standard buddha wand with the ssv cover works but it doesn't work well. I can tell when using the miniwhip that there is a way better mating of the two pieces of glass as they are made to go together.

3. I think I'll just be getting a standard SSV wand and call it good. Nothing else I would really need for the Buddha.

Daddygj, why aren't you on the chat?

It's not so hard to replace the mini-wand screen, just takes patience. Good luck re-using a screen though. Scraping the screen with the pick while it's in there works good for me, I change screens maybe once a week.

(my ssv type HC is on its way!!!:D)

If its getting too clogged to use i just dump the bowl out and then blow through it real good. Then i disconnect the hose and (watch out you dont burn your lips if you just got done hitting it recently) blow into the bowl. Then i hook it all back up and turn the SSV a few hours higher than you normally vape at and take a few hits at varying speeds (slow to fast a couple times). This usually gets it clear enough for adequate airflow. Enough that I only HAVE to iso soak once every month or so, but i usually do it biweekly. If you dont do the part with disconnecting the wand and blowing in the bowl, you'll probably get a good bit of abv and stuff in your mouth, so thats why that steps in there.

Btw, a tip for cleaning the mini with iso w/o removing the screen (because its all but impossible to get back in, the standard ssv/dbv bowls are a breeze tho) - just fill the bowl with iso until its to where it starts to flare out at the end, then lightly drum two fingers on the side of the bowl while you hold the wand tightly with your other hand (and plug the bottom hole, of course). Dont tap too hard that iso splashes out the top tho. This makes the iiso get past the screen much quicker. Do that a couple times and then just shake and rinse. Sometimes I fill it with another 2 bowls of iso and rinse it a second time, depending if theres still stuff left after i dump the first. Then rinse it out with water real good and hook it up and turn your ssv up high and take some dry hits and make sure the screens COMPLETELY dry before loading anything in.

... Boom Shiva !
Recently bought the a water adapter for my buddha, hooked it up to a nice double percolator bong which i bought for $25. I am enjoying every bit of the water filtered vaporizing experience. The dryness in the vapor has reduced + i used to get a lot of powdered hash in my mouth before through the wand now the water filters all that. :D:ko::peace:

Hey everyone

I am looking into purchasing Da Buddah vape since it seems to fit my specific preferences (so I think) but I have one main concern. Since the control on temp regulation is manual and not digital I was wondering what the prefered settings are, what turn of the knob I guess, or any other helpful tips.

And if anyone could shed some light on what temps have what effect in terms of type of high and health concerns..etc.

Also is there anything identical almost to DB that is digital..

thanks in advance!

Since how hard you draw on the whip is very important to the actual vaping temp, it's really up to you to determine the vapor range. How the knob is installed on the unit can also make a big difference. Your particular unit could switch on at 7-8 o'clock, or at 6 or 10. You can pull the knob off and position it so it turns on at 12 or 1, and some have come of the box like that. As for draw speed, if you hit it hard, 3 o'clock could be a good setting (if it turns on at the usual 7-8). If you hit it nice and easy, 12 o'clock may be a better setting. You need to find the low and high end settings for your particular unit, and decide where the medium setting is that suits you and your draw speed.

Here's a study with vaping temps and what you get with rising temps. The toxins listed probably affect the type of high more than your health, since the levels are low. Basically, the higher you go in temp, the more the high resembles smoking, and the more smoke byproducts (toxins) you get.

There's a reason good quality vapes like the DBV, SSV, etc. aren't digital, while cheap ($50-70 range) whip vapes on eBay are pretty much all digital. Cheap digital isn't accurate, and it isn't reliable. Even the digital Volcano only has a two yr. warranty, vs. 3 for the analog Classic. If I want the best assurance that my vape will still be working, post warranty period, I'm buying analog. Our expensive, front loading washing machine quit working the other day. It died because of the digital circuitry. If it had been a simpler, analog machine, we wouldn't have a pile of dirty clothes today. :/

Like they say in the instructions, they think their customers are smart enough to remember the right setting. But if you really need it, an infrared thermometer can be had for around $20. Darth, the mini whip mouthpiece is a little tight in my mflb, but I have no qualms about the acrylic tube. I'll be using it native most of the time anyway... ;)

Oh wait so generally speaking you turn the knob clockwise it heats up at or around 7-8 o'clock...but should be raised to 12 or 1 for good temps and no combustion?

Did i get that correctly?

Combustion Fucker
yeah, start low-ish and move up looking for sweet spot. Definitely not everyone sets to same exact temp, but most are relatively close with some people liking lower and higher temps. There's only so big of a range that gives good vapor without being easy to overbrown or even combust, enough you have some choice but not huge variance.

I go for a spot where i get good vapor and have a hard time overcooking it.
