Braided sleeve for whip

Didn't find any discussion on this, so thought I would share.

I was looking for a way to reduce the medicinal look and feel of the whip tubing, and thought of an idea of using braided PET sleeving to cover the tube. I need to find a better way to secure the ends so they dont fray, but...

There are a ton of solid and pattern options. Ive even found UV neon colors. I used 1/2" sleeving. Just thought I would share in case anyone wants to do the same!

Not sure what you used to secure the sleeving (looks like tape or rubber band), but you could probably use heat shrink very effectively.

To secure I am using 2 rubber bands. The actual sleeving doesn't need to be secured as it fits tightly around the tube, the rubber bands are there just to clean up the ends and prevent them from fraying.

I considered heat shrink, but I want to keep the option of removing the sleeve without much effort for cleaning/color change. Im going to try and find some small diameter, wide (about 1") rubber bands.

wallpaper,
Nice. They sell it at parts express and comes in many colors. I use that stuff often to clean up cable wiring behind the computer or the network space. Gives a clean look to the install.

I had the whip of an old vape wrapped in hemp. Looked cool and all natural. Easier and cheaper than shrink wrap.

That DBV looks sick with the orange whip
