In the market for a new pocket vape

I have a MFLB but I'm getting a tad bit sick of people accusing me that it's a meth pipe :mflb:
It works well but I've had it for about a year so it's time to move one just kinda bored with it, still have like 22 years under warranty though >_<. So I'm most likely going to sell it and pick up something with a charger (idk the batteries aren't doing it for me). I was looking into the PAX and it looks great but it's $250 price tag is a bit much. Anyone know some up and coming pocket vapes or newer ones that might not be in the threads Pocket Vapes above me? Thanks! Happy vaping.

The guys from the DaVinci are working on a new model called ascent that looks interesting.. don't know when it will be out though.

One thing though.. the 250$ price tag is pretty much standard nowadays. If you go lower than that, you usually will be compromising somewhere. Usually one of these -> Size, taste or battery life

Everything i'm reading is saying PAX for 250 is the best buy. But honestly I don't want to part with 250 cause I'm not that impressed with what I've read about it. I read something about the vaporblunt 2.0 too that look interesting as well. I wish VXL would make a portable

I took the Pax to a few concerts leading up to New Year's. Fortunately I brought a pipe cleaner and an alcohol wipe in my wallet each night because I found myself needing to clean it mid set more than once :/. Pretty frustrating when I need to medicate and end up missing a song or two while I'm focused on swabbing a pipe cleaner around. I have a preorder in for the Cera. If it doesn't impress me then quite honestly there isn't a portable on the market that does. The Pax has been the best performance wise IMO (aside from the Solo but I see the Solo as a desktop that you can carry around your house), but the need to clean it so constantly (I'm talking every 2 bowls) negates a lot of the good. So I'd suggest waiting for some Cera reviews if you can spare the time.

If you are considering the Pax, take a look at the Inhalater. The battery lasts longer, very easy maintenance to clean, flavor of your herb lasts longer, and vapor density is comparable.

if your trying to get an Arizer solo for cheep try puffitup, thats where i've got my last two solo's from. The last time my buddy called and got an even better deal than 160 for the solo...

Inhalater is a good call! I forgot about that one. I haven't tried it personally. I read that the capsules become sticky with resin and can get stuck if you don't remove them while the unit is warm, so that completely rules out mixing concentrates with the herb since that would gunk it up in an instant which is a big minus for me. But most people seem to love their Inhalaters for herb! And some vids have shown nice clouds. I'd still wait for some Cera reviews first, though. All convection. Nothing can beat that purity. Reviews should only be about a week away (fingers crossed!).

The Palm 2.0 if it is very easy to use, I am thinking of that one, also financials considerations
as with the OP. I think that is the only one I can consider and then I plan to get the Solo.

I am aware that it's not so portable, that is a drawback.

I vape in full pubic view, that is with discretion but in that setting, I like the idea of something small that can easily be concealed, now that I hear that the Arizer Solo is not like that, I have to reconsider
and perhaps the Palm is best for me. I am needing to upgrade from the Iolite, which I love, but I cannot deal with butane any more. I dont even want the wisper either even tho it is more efficient.

Is the Palm small enough to be inconspicuous in most cases?

It depends really, the mflb can fit in your hand. Hands down the mflb is the best vape for stealth besides hash oil pens

I used my friends solo the other day for the first time it impressed me. So that would be a good option as stated before.

Overall I have been very pleased with the original Da Vinci, and they are $199.00 on the manufacture website http://davincivaporizer.com/ it is a very flexible, meet your needs vape. As Vorrange said, Da Vinci has the ascent coming in the spring.

The palm to me seems to be a redesigned MFLB, But price is low and Each PALM 2.0 Vaporizer unit comes with a Lifetime manufacturer’s warranty that is restricted to normal use. The rechargeable nickel hybrid batteries are equipped with a 90 day warranty from date of purchase.( taken from manufactures website) on that model.

This model says in the spring seems interesting http://wizvape.com/ not great info though.

The Pax I have not got to use yet but some members like, love, and hate things about it. Most members (Dreameer in particular) really praise there inhalator. I have not used so there input will be more useful than mine. My friend with the solo ordered his VB 2.0 so I will know soon how that one is.

Is the Palm small enough to be inconspicuous in most cases?
I have not had but I feel good saying yes

Of the vapes available today, it's hard to beat the combination of price and performance of the solo.

hahahahahahahahaha ... whoever is makin fun of your MFLB is just plain ignint!

daybrightener,
Solo. I think it's an amazing value at 160$ and is exceptional in many regards. The battery life is long compared to its competition, hit density is very strong even by desktop standards, it mates easily to glass even with the stock stems, it's made in Canada not China, it has very solid build quality and has one of the shortest learn curves of any vaporizer, period. Anyone can draw on it and get a decent hit, or hit it with intent and get a great one.

The No2 is good and I enjoyed mine, but I think Solo beats it hands down. There are many respected minds however who would disagree. The Ascent looks pretty cool and it supposedly comes out this Spring, so might be worth waiting for I suppose.

Thanks for all the comments and input guys! I did some research on the wispr and the atmos raw which both looked cool but haven't found anything really saying they're really that awesome. Looked into the Cera, the top model (titanium) from them is $499 and it doesn't include batteries?!! I'm very curious to see that released and what it lives up to, as far as I'm concerned that's nutty.

I'm most drawn to the Pax right now, I like that it's small and you can charge it without the hassle of batteries or the trouble of butane. But the fact that it clogs so easy isn't good in my book. I do have my little flight box so I'm not in a dire need of a portable, just hoped there would be something a little more compact since I last checked. I do like the Solo but it's just too bulky for me as a portable. I'm looking more for something to hit while snowboarding or to take to the studio. I like where the pax and the cera seem to be at in terms of size but I feel like it'll be 1-2 years til a solid portable is really out there with no kinks and performing real well. Hopefully legalization will be passed by then

Take a look at the inhalater, I think it might be exactly what you are looking for. You can charge it with a microUSB cable and bring prepacked capsules of herb with you for easy loading. Plus the taste and vapor output can't be beat.

OKAY I investigated the FlashVape Thread and wow, I think I might hafta add this vape to my rotation!!! (HAHAHA I said rotation, yet I only have one vape)

I like that their is a special technique to getting perfect vapes with it; gives a vape user something new to learn/explore. Also I love how this thing is built, like an effin' tank. I keep having the Shake-Weight video roll through my head...weird hahahaha shake weight....
