The JET waterpipe

Should he also reg with vtac or no? I thought that's what he got banned for and went through recent posts...

Anyways I've seen a fair bit on this piece on other communities... seems good for smoking, although I'm questioning the MAX FILTRATION thing for vapors... anyone notice it changes (lessens) the taste?
I thought they were regged?

I really didn't like how the Jet team came into the Steele concept thread accusing Steve of knocking off their product. The rest of the devs seem to get by without such tactics for the most part.

Yeah, that was kinda weird. A manufacturer going into another manufacturers thread to promote their product definitely felt like an unwritten rule was broken.

What's weird the guy form Steel concept was saying good things about the Jet.

There are some who are GREAT at engineering, design and manufacturing but lousy in their communication skills when it comes to dealing with customers or potential customers.

There are those that have GREAT communication skills but couldn't design anything even if their life depended on it.

And then, there are a few who can actually do both.

I think the key to being a successful entrepreneur is to find out what you are best at, and stick with that, and then hire someone else to fill in your shortcomings. Or to put it another way, hire people who are better than you at what they do.

Agreed. Had this same conversation with a fellow business owner the other day.

Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a ..............

But seriously, is that the typical diffusion that one gets with a Jet?

The JET was designed with a 14mm GonG downstem for the sole purpose of having as many options available for it as possible, vapes included. . . I myself have vaped with the JET a bunch of times and every time I loved it!

Hey, don't forget guys, everyone who has vaped through the JET loves it

I know there was some.. differing opinions, but strictly from a performance view, I can't see many people who like/use high diffusion glass hating this too much. It's a little airy as pointed out before, would like to see a scaled down tube (maybe with a bent mouthpiece) aimed at vapor specific, maybe with one of the earlier less diffused model percs coming stock since more can now be added as desired with the 'stack' things. It looks like this piece would give comparable diffusion with a DG frit or maybe under strong pull even the apocoline (sp?) perc. Personally I think it's a little much for vapor especially the teasers with the stacks that had bubbles on bubbles, but I'd love it for combustion. And until the thread I didn't know it was possible to hook up vapes with a WPA to the JET, I thought the plastic bowl piece was built in and wouldn't accept anything else.

Appreciate your input herbguy. FYI The bowl and stem are not plastic, it is T6-6061 aircraft grade aluminum that is anodized with a type III hardcoat ceramic anodizing. The mouthpiece, and cyclone filter are the only things made out of acetal, an engineering thermoplastic for prototyping. The tube is bpa free polycarbonate aka bulletproof glass.

Hey, if you don't like it then don't post in here, you haven't tried the JET and probably never will. What's the point in going out of your way to bash something you have never tried? Not sure what I did to poop in your soup lwien, it's like your bullying the new kid in school to prove your seniority. Congrats on posting over 6,500 messages on here, but do you really need to bash on us while never having tried the JET? Everything you suggested to us in the beginning we have done. Making the JET more vape friendly(designing as we speak an adapter for the JET for easier vape attaching). Taking our "sales marketing hat off". Having a JET give-away contest. Still would like to, but when does the trial by fire exercise end? Lwien remember you telling me this?
Hey Quantum, welcome to the FC gauntlet.
All manufacturers that present there products here go through this trial by fire exercise. For some, they just fold their tents and leave. For others, they stick around but become defensive and they too eventually leave. But for some, they totally take off their marketing hats and present their product here, not to sell, but just to................expose, to answer questions, and to listen and discuss, and for them, most of the time, it becomes a rewarding experience not only for us, the end users, but for them, the manufacturers.
It's weird how many of you have never tried the JET, but yet they seem to know so much about it. Don't get me wrong, we love feedback and constructive criticism mostly from people that have used it so there opinions and suggestions are actually beneficial, but just looking at it and making all these negative assumptions and telling people they shouldn't bother are malicious, skullduggerous, unsubstantiated and unfounded. Seriously I really want to know what we personally did to you to warrant your speculative opinions of the JET Lwien. You go out of your way to shit on us and use your "seniority" to influence people that are interested in us to not bother. I understand that frog boy and us got off on the wrong foot, but there's tons of people that have told us that we have excellent customer service and will recommend us to friends, Almost on a daily basis in fact! I do all of our customer service and am quite proud of it. I know there's people in this thread that love pointing out anything they deem wrong or bad with the JET but the good vastly outnumbers the bad, try asking someone who actually OWN THE JET!
That gif was taken by us. That's the type of diffusion one can expect from the JET. However, with fresh unused water, the stack doesnt get that high. With water used a few times, the bubble column gets bigger and bigger from the tensile strength of the water increasing with each use. The higher the bubble column or "stack" the longer the smoke stays in contact with the water resulting in even smoother rips. Eventually if you don't change the water after 4 or 5 uses the stack gets so high you will pull water into your mouth, so if you want your JET to function like that in the gif, you just need to find the happy medium in number of uses per water change.
I'm sure we are going to get alot of shit for this reply, just want it to be clear to the people who have gone out of their way to talk shit and put us down whilst never having used a JET, please do something more with your time. Life is short, so why waste it forming opinions and speculating on a product that you will probably never try and obviously have no interest in trying or owning? To everyone else thank you for interest. Let's keep the replies to people who are interested in it and have questions and feedback. If not, you just look like a douche with nothing better to do than talk shit about something that isn't relevant to your vaping standards and have no interest in. SO, FOR FUCKS SAKE WHY BOTHER?

Quantum... before all of this gets deleted anyway, this isn't the attitude many (including myself, trying to interject some positive into the thread earlier) responds to. Passion is respected, but respect is earned. You sell a fine product, and obviously stand behind it but you can't come off as 'everyone who disagrees is 100% wrong all the time'. A lot of research goes into a product, but if in the end the users have suggestions to benefit not only themselves, but you in a more popular/diversified product, respond like you give a shit what they think.

Well, there's a bit of self-imploding.

Wayyyyy back, in the beginning of this thread, I suggested that you get a Jet into the hands of one of our veterans here for review. You have refused to do so. I then suggested a contest, which could be a vehicle to get a unit into the hands of one of our members.........which again, has not come to fruition.

I'll say it again. Get a Jet into the hands of someone, ANYONE here, to review and by doing so, you will be taking a proactive stance in eliminating the assumptions that you so vehemently deny rather than coming in here and putting another nail into the coffin that you painstakingly have been building here ever since you first started posting.

You don't want a contest? You don't want to get a Jet into the hands of one of our senior members here for review? Fine.........don't, but then be prepared to hear whatever assumptions come your way, be they good.........or bad.

No more from me on this.................over.........and out.

From adobewon a well known member:
OK Guys, I've been using the Jet for about a week now. Was torn between this and Steels's but the tech and the lower price made this my first choice of the two.
After cranking thru the thread I wanted to cover some quick points.
Let me first proudly shout from the mountains, I LOVE my Leviathan Matrix!!!(I've been tempted to sleep with it but it stays too darn cold.) I love my FC Bubbler!!(Rubber stoppered and filled with salt and ISO, it makes the perfect "Shake-Weight" exercise replacement when cleaning!) These get my highest recommendations, they're superstars that I plan to use till the day I die and then pass them down to my heirs.

And I've barely touched either since getting the JET.

Due to Steele's gracious Christmas offer, I'm ordering his this weekend and will do a head to head but here's my initial reaction of the JET.

First, I believe Quantum went back in time to get me my Jet within 72 hrs of ordering(with no special shipping).
I vaporize exclusively and the JET works amazingly with my Solo, Underdog, Inhalater, and the Hot Pod(again the winner with my water pieces!) The clear draw of the Pod with the almost fiss-like diffusion of the JET makes for the smoothest, easiest draw of all my water pieces. The base is wide/stable enough to support the weight of the Solo. I'll try to get some pics together of how well it plays with all the vapes asap.
As I mentioned the diffusion is amazing, the carb is very cool, I'm not sure why some were concerned the carb would service combusters better than us vaporizers. It keeps you from having to remove your vape to clear, I'm loving it! Quantum has some accessories coming, the stackable diffusers(which I'm not sure this would even need, but I'm game) and another which he may or may not have announced that I'm more interested in.

CONS(Shouted in Kirk's voice):
-I bought the small version and was surprised how large it is. I suggested Quantum add something of scale to the pictures on his site for reference, perhaps him standing up on a chair to take a hit off the large version.
-Maybe it's my age, maybe it's the length again, but I'm spoiled by the angled mouthpieces of the Matrix and the FC Bubb(my Persei Bubb as well). It's a bit uncomfortable to bend my face down at a near 90° angle to draw from the JET, but that would be the case with any long straight tube.

Without any experience with Steele's, I think both of these points may be where Steele's beats the JET, while I don't think Steele's wil be able to match the JET's diffusion(heck that might be comparable to a fritted disk), and that's more the point of a piece like this to me.

Keep in mind, my glass experience is limited to mere months and I regularly turn to more experienced FC Jedi for guidance, but for what little it's worth, the JET gets the Adobewan "bump".

It's weird how many of you have never tried the JET, but yet they seem to know so much about it.

Honestly all I need to know is that high diffusion removes the taste from vapor. All that stacking might be cool for smoking, but we're a vape community, so the game's different. I just bought a small oil rig that I can use my vape with. One of the things I enjoy the most about it is the small water filtration. Just enough to cool the vapors down, not so much that it strips the flavors. Stacking matters to a point when you vape. Congrats on the innovation of the diffusion disk tree, but it's of very little use to this community, it seems.
