Hey OG,

Great video!! Sadly the uploaded photo is my largest 'in the wild' photo. Hopefully we'll all have our CERAS soon. I certainly am looking forward to future user pics, vids, and suggestions-particularly those with WPs (as I am a WP newbie).

Thanks for the quick reply! Shame more pictures weren't to be had, I guess I'm just overly anxious. My T1 and Revolution can only hold me over for so long!

Hey, I'm writing this in case the guys at Thermovape see this. I've emailed them a couple of times and they have yet to reply to my emails. When I try calling, it goes straight to voicemail.

And I thought they were working 24/7 to fulfill all preorders. LOL
Should of been working non stop by now...literally 24 what?

I think we all saw from the videos that the TET people work at whatever time and as many hours as it takes to get the job done. We have no reason to believe that's changed; if anything they'd be more intense under this pressure.

If you want to talk about it further, you know where to take it.

More importantly IMO, she's functional. Very, very functional.

Quick question OF ,
Is this true about purchasing extra cartridges ?
$ 300 is all I'll be spending for this vape , period .

"Nothing else out their comes close in performance(at least for EO) whats the next best thing? Persai is like 250 and your gonna be buying 10$ cartridges your whole life that can potentially stop working with your concentrate inside, have fun getting that out. I pay 300 once, no replacement parts, no cheaply made BS. "

Yes. If you buy an oil version (say) it comes ready to go minus battery and charger for $250. $300 with battery and charger. If you want to also do LL or want a spare oil cart (like for PG) that costs $100 more. But the original cart should last a very long time, very few Revolution/DARTs failed in service thus far.

I never had a dart fail but I had quite a few become so dirty and befowled that they were basically uncleanable.

This eo cart has more ceramic area but it's also quite a bit more expensive then the dart, to anyone who has used the eo cart for several grams: does the ceramic inside turn black and taste awful? Is the oil cart basically a consumable like the dart was?

I have fowled up my share of Darts as well. My current Dart is so gunked up I have not used it in weeks. I have not used the Cera but the fact that the Eo cart can be torched red hot makes me think that all the gunk would be cooked off at those temps and the ceramic would be fresh and clean again .... I hope

Well since really only the Thermovape team and OF have had real time with it they could only answer that properly.
I don't see how you've gotten a dart so dirty it's a problem, you can boil it or soak the whole thing in ISO. The ceramic will always look dirty but if you actually care for your dart I don't see how it could become almost uncleanable.

Perhaps if you fouled it so badly you couldn't clean it you should return it for (free) service? The vast majority of those returned as 'defective' were just fine I'm told, most just needed cleaning. I've seen to total collection of failed field returns of T1, Evolution and Revolution/DART cores (could even include AVA cores as well?). I don't know the total count, but they'd all fit in a coffee cup looks like. Once free of the PTFE insulating button, the ceramic elements can be 'flamed' clean again fairly easily.

I don't consider DART to be an expendable item, nor do I think TV sees it that way? Based on that experience, I expect most users will be very happy with the lifespan of the Cera oil carts.

I had troubles with the Dart fowling as well. I think it boils down to the grade of concentrate you put into it. I have no access to ultra clean concentrate so I suspect that's key.

Now with the Cera, can the user torch it enough to totally clean like the disassembled Dart?

That's a good point guys I forgot the Dart had teflon in it, I torched most of my darts anyway but I was careful and only the top thin rim actually got red hot so I'm thinking if you can get a torch to the area where the ceramic is it might actually get "tasty clean" like a new dart was.
The vast majority of those returned as 'defective' were just fine I'm told, most just needed cleaning.
Yeah but the thing to realize is that if it's not easy enough to clean back to that tasty starting point than even if it's still working it's still going to get returned/tossed one day. I think a torch might be the only solution, I tried many chemicals/solvents in my Dart and while they did work better and faster than iso, they could not clean it perfectly so you basically had to clean it more and more often until eventually it just wasn't worth the effort of all the cleaning for a single tasty hit...

I have hope in the torch though, I can't imagine black crud surviving in that heat:

I think that has a lot to do with it, but it's not all. If you let old oil build up and then overcook it in place you end up with old, built up oil overcooked in place. No magic I can see. Just like changing the oil in your car, keep ahead of the sludge deposits and you're ahead of them, they wash out with oil changes. Let them get ahead and it can only get worse.

I intentionally fouled out early Revolution carts with bubble and the nastiest ISO extracts I could find. All I got was some typical staining, noting built up that didn't wash out in normal cleaning; I believe because it got cleaned out promptly?

And, if you do put it off too long (who needs to, there's still good production......) you haven't really wrecked it, send it in. It is not self cleaning, you have to maintain it if you want top performance. How much that involves and how often is I agree a function of what you use and how you use it.

I was over on the FlashVAPE thread and noticed that ThermoVape had liked a number of posts by FlashVAPE. I couldn't help wondering if there is some connection between the two companies?

No link I know of. It's probably my fault, though. I was babbling on about the FV when I was last over at TV (a week ago?). After we got the updates to the Beta unit all sorted out, I asked if they'd seen it and was once again reduced to waving my arms around trying to describe it.

I'm planning on bringing mine by next visit, but that hasn't happened yet. Maybe one of 'em took my ravings to heart and ordered one, but I strongly suspect it's more along the lines of following up on my rants about the similar nature of the two product lines. They both capitalize on a reliable, simple design and solid materials.

Or not.

To me the flashvape looked like a huge magic flight box with all the pros. I didn't use it but held it and it seemed awkward to me. I think the cera looks way better if we are going on aesthetics. We will have to wait for performance. Maybe I will head over to that thread but didn't have an interest once I saw it. I didn't even have the urge to hit it. I know I am strange.

I agree, it's a funny shape. but IMO it's pretty natural in use. I hold it like it was a flashlight pointed up, my thumb naturally falls on the button, I'm good to go. While it's MFLB like in many ways, it's also much different in other important ways. To start with, it's a BRUTE. Unlike MFLB it will combust your load really fast. A few seconds error on your part.

However, with a bit of practice you can pull it out, power up, take a huge old hit, pull the stem and have it back in your pocket in under half a minute. Yes, 10 seconds to vapor from a standing start. Beat that if you can.

In a certain market, for herb only, I can see the FV as a serious alternative to Cera for some. Which is, I guess, why I brought it up at TV?

FWIW, I think both Cera and FV are exciting products. Both, I think, merit some consideration to those 'in the market'. FV is more of a specialist's tool, perhaps, but within it's design intents it's pretty impressive.

Ah I will try it lol since my friend has one. I can see a huge market for the FV but I just think it is different then the cera but you have used both so know better. I warmed up the flash vape and loved the quickness and it reminded me of the MFLB immediately. I look at the cera different from the test videos. It takes longer to warm up is more convection then the FV which is a combo from what I can tell. I think the price point will sway a lot one way or another. I would love the FV if it was so big but for people with hand issues it was as you said very comfy to hold but a bit heavy. It would win hands down for a person with dexterity issues over most vapes IMO.

Now we need to start seeing some get the cera soon so we can really talk about the beauty of it and how well it works in different applications. I hope it is peoples hands soon.

The FV and the Cera are similar in some ways but radically different in others. They are both simple designs made from solid, safe materials. The FV is extremely well made; other TET products have high build quality and everything indicates the Cera will too. The Cera, however, uses constant heating and is convection, while the FV uses pulse heating and is primarily conduction. I don't see the FV as a head-to-head competitor with the Cera or the MFLB, it's somewhere in between. I can easily see owning all three devices.
