Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Call it, The Infamous $40 Vapor Brothers Hydrator No Name Knock-off v2.0 rev1a. :D
The IFD VBH NNK 2.01a, got it.

The new ones, they've made even smaller and a completely redesign fixed downstem. I like the looks of the new one, prefer the size of the old one... function, is probably the same, with a piece that size. Still an excellent buy, if the build quality is the same.
So the old model had a removable downstem? Hard to tell from the pictures.

The Cera is gonna make this thing look even tinier, hah…

Haze I just wanted to know for my brains sake. I am happy with the infamous but wanted things put in perspective. Just like they have the line up of vapes which at this point needs to be extended to included some of the new ones they have missed. It is good to have a size height and width perspective so when you are buying something new you can know if you feel comfortable with that size. As far as water stuff goes I think they should be a circumference cause I believe from what you all say that will help you make a more informed decision.

Edit: Nopart what is the IFD stand for I got the rest.

Infamous Forty Dollar :)

You could shorten it, even. The Infamous No-name Knock-off, v2 in this case. Ink2

I was reading and I see RezBlock is pretty recommended for avoiding that buildup, after a little more research I think I will buy this if it truly is natrual.

The only thing Im thinking is if I should get some PBW, do you think it is worth it over ISO?

I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to the collecting resin thing. Why would it be safe from vaping but not from combustion? It looks the same.
I don't know much about the PBW or Resin Block, I admittedly haven't done my research on either. I see a few on here use it though. I wonder how they feel about accidental splash-back with that stuff in their bubs? As I said I prefer ISO so I can evap and reclaim, not sure if this is possible with the PBW or res block. Simple answer: The reclaim collected from vaping is pure(just oils that have collected on glass), reclaim from combusting has toxins associated with combustion, which to me is gross.

Made a Video tonight with the VB Hydrator and my DBV. not HQ, Sorry!

No, they just redesigned it. The old one is straight vertical, rounded at the bottom. The new ones are bubbled out at the bottom (for the new cut pattern and physical design change, I'm assuming)

Alright got a lil dilemma: ordered a nail dome n adapter from gbd. The adapter has a downstem on it nd it's 3' but tooo thick for the infamous 2.0 in which I got it for.

Should I just break the downstem off and go with it lol or just dab w my stemline nd dont breal glass til I get the right adapt

So it seems that everyone here is pretty happy with there "Infamous $40 No Name Vapor Brothers Hydrator Knock-Off!!!" as BDV put it so nicely a few pages ago, but I do have a question. Right now I'm running my solo and MF through a generic little bong with a grommit style down stem that is just a straight tube. It chugs along pretty well but I think I would like to get something a bit nicer and at this price I think I may snag this up. My question is, would it really perform much better than what I already have in terms of filtration and vapor smoothness or will I just enjoy it so much that it won't really matter? :ko:

Man...just waiting on FedEx. It's finally going to be delivered today...I hope.

Since this is my first I have no idea. I do know I won't become a GAS. It is good for a change or when my throat is soar.

FedEx is really annoying. I made a whole point of BEING HOME today, so I could get the package. They just come and put a notice on the door. No door bell. Nothing.

Well, I find bubblers hit a lot different than tubes. Don't know why (other than the difference architecture in functional design)... but the manner in which I take in the vapor is different. At the very least, if you're staying with a grommet pieces, I would invest in some of the nice scientific downstems out there. I believe orgeonglassblower carries one or two different versions, I've seen them on GC, etc.

If you have an extra 45$ laying around, I would personally pick it up. Just so you have a little variation in your glass. BDV once related it to roller coasters. They ALL serve the same purpose (to cool the vapor)(not much filtration is needed for vapor), but some pieces provide a different "ride" with the components they have. Not sure how big your little bong is, but this bubbler is nice handheld with no tilt. There ARE plenty of other cheap options to go with, KushCabbage has a bubbler/oil rig for sale in classified section that looks similar to one of my first bubblers, it's cheap($30), GonG, a big colored dome perc, bubbles decently, I don't mind taking it to work b/c if it breaks, $30 wasn't too much to lose for me.
I've never hit a vape out of a grommet style bong. The chug could be from water levels?? Maybe just play around with the level of water in your present piece and see if that changes your experience as well...

I agree with what BDV says--put a different downstem on there and there will be a big difference. In my rather noobish opinion, the "chug" comes form the open-ended stem. :2c:

What does chug actually mean. From reading I thought it was resistance and if that is so I have never felt much resistance with my old style bong years ago on this little cute infamous no matter the water level. So what am I missing?

Big bubbles, like from natural percs tend to chug, its like when a movement of large bubbles suddenly move through the piece, you can feel it. One big group of bubbles, chug, then the next big group of bubbles, chug. Sometimes it can physically shake the piece in your hands.
I have a piece back home that can perfectly show a "chug" but I'm afraid I don't have it here so my description will have to do.
Typically the bubbles are big meaning less diffusion and less cooling.

So why is that an issue? I would guess it is like blowing out into a glass of liquid threw a straw is how I am reading your post. The glass vibrates and of course as a kid you laugh. Why is this an issue while vaping? Don't we like bubbles and there kewl sound?

Dreamerr,

@BigDogJunction
Its an issue because, instead of delivering the vapor/smoke in a smooth even pull... its basically burping it up. Most don't like that feeling. Plus, I can't stand my glass, rumbling in my hands.

Hope that helps understand a bit.
