alright fellow vapors, my fiance is completely against cannabis consumption in any form.
i have moved from smoking to vaporizing thinking the health benefits could lessen the severity of me doing it.
i've been a consumer for appox 3 years and have known her for 1.
i've been looking for replacement herbs with similar effects but nothing competes.
i know there are people out there that have been doing it a lot longer and would like to hear/read some success stories upon the continuity of an already adapted way of life.
please share not to convince but to praise the ability of a plant.
thanks. :)

right, well,
i'd like to share a little about my own experience with the component.
i feel that in my life of already being an outcast i was later revealed to be an essential candidate to a better tomorrow as well as a naturalist.
awakening constantly through a different perception i was able to breathe and see clearer with each passing day.
my success story is still being told for i have not been writing for very long but once it is finished it will be shown.

I know relationships are a give and take and I get that but I just think realistically this is a bad thing all around. For you to give up something because someone is against it might not be easy (Many say it will never work) if you slip up or fail what then. My guess is the war on drugs carries most the blame.
Making her think cannabis is going to make her poor and turn you, kids into commies and terrorists.
I'm sure the best advice is to talk to her about it and show you don't have a problem with it or any other drugs but enjoy the choice to use without it being a let down to her.

My ex used to badger me about using Cannabis while she had 3-4 drinks in the afternoon followed by her nightly ambien. That relationship didn't last long for obvious reasons. It's a shame that Cannabis has negative connotations due to Disinformation and ignorance.

I use Cannabis for pain management and anxiety-relief. Gastro disorders can be trick to deal with and I haven't found any pharmaceutical drugs that can do for me what Cannabis can.

An essential part of a successful relationship is the understanding that there will always be some things that your partner does which you dont entirely embrace and vice versa. Learning to accept and tolerate your mutual differences can make or break a relationship.

Again I clicked on the wrong button  I would never stop vaping my dry flowers for anybody but me and knowing that I feel better with the medication I don't see why I should stop.

I wouldn't hangout with someone who make such a big deal out of this. Its just being ignorant and proving the inability to think by her own self. I hate that kind of people who repeats what they've been told being sure they are right, without understanding the complexity behind.

Consuming cannabis can be a clean, healthy habit

^^^I wrote my own reply, but ultimately the jist is best demonstrated in this quote^^^ From my experience with all types of relationships...this is as real as it gets. There are some social/legal issues worth considering, which may go along with her reasons against it, but ultimately it is a lifestyle choice...Is this a lifestyle you intend to continue? Does it cause any other issues for you? (Drug tests at work, procrastination, any other negatives in your life worth considering) Do these cons outweight the pros? The answers will help put things in perspective for you.

Relationships are give and take, works both ways

thanks for the responses folks.
lately i have been slowly easy my habit into an herbal blend of green tea thus allowing my body to get accustomed to a different feeling.
a lesser amount of thc mixed in with the blend and my body will slowly adapt and react the same if not similar.
we have had arguments before but ultimately left it as if i am to then do not let her know.
communication helped a lot and am glad to still be consuming my consumables as i please.
vaping all the way!

Hard to say, to me that question is similar to someone asking me when I will stop being a vegetarian. For now both of those choices make me a happy person, and feel like the person that I want to be. Of course over time things can change, but at the moment I can't see myself quitting for many reasons. And I tend to have short tolerances for people who don't like me for who I am and what I choose to do, I don't drink or eat meat and could care less if you do, yet these same people judge me for vaping weed. Fuck em. Life is short, and it can be short and unfulfilled, or short and amazing. Do what makes you happy and you could have the latter. If you are happy you can make others happy as well, and that is a good life to live IMO.

I married a girl that hates when I smoke. I'm finding it to be a big mistake. How dare someone come into your life and tell you to stop doing something that's harmless and you've been doing for years. She needs to accept you for you, or move on. Even if you are ok to give it up for her now, odds are you will probably begin to resent her.

My girlfriend used to be vehemently oppososed to it, 3 years later shes fine with me doing it and even partakes every now and then. I imagine I'll have to give it up soon because I'm about to start grad school and since I live in the southeast its generally looked down upon. I would love to move to a legal state but don't see that happening. Soon enough I'll have to make the decision between no weed and risking my job for recreational use. After 5 years of studying and work to get a job it'd be awful to lose my job over weed. It will be hard for me to stop weed, I love the ritual and the relaxation that it brings. I'm worried that alcohol will take its place which is a very unhealthy alternative considering my addictive nature.

I hope I don't have to give it up but there's a very good possibility I will have to give it up temporarily if not for good.
